Kiara climbed up the stair of the Han-sang university, scrolling through her phone with a smile on her face. Someone jumped in front of her, frightening her with her phone almost falling to the ground. She glared at the girl laughing hysterically and gave her a light punch on her shoulder, "Geez, that scared the hell out of me. I am young you know, don't ever jump in front of me that way." she said adjusting her cloth.

Sara walked closer to her and placed her hand on her shoulder, "What happened to the almighty Kiara? Why are you early today?" she asked, smiling amuzingly. If lateness was a person then that would be Kiara, seeing her early on a Monday morning, was something she never thought she would see before they graduate from the University.

"I had no choice too. My mom planned to follow me to school with the company bus, so I left even before she woke up. Using that bus is totally embarrassing. That annoying sound that's disturbs the whole neighborhood." Kiara replied counting her steps.

Sara clicked her tongue, shaking her head "Tsk tsk............. She was only trying to help," She said staring at her friend.

Kiara sighed and went ahead in fast strides forcing Sara to run after her. She knows her mother very well, she wanted to drive her to school in her bus to advertise her business, even though she knew Kiara hates been embarrassed.

She walked into the hall for her first lecture and dropped her bag beside her, taking a seat.

Sara stopped running and faced her, panting heavily. "How come you aren't tired." she asked breathlessly with her palms on her kneels, "I should exercise more." she mumbled to herself, going to seat behind Kiara. "Now I'm hungry."

Kiara shook her head and looked outside the window with a frown on her face. She had lied to Sara, she fought with her mother again and she opened up the wounds that were healing already. She wasn't the daughter her parent prayed for, she wasn't the perfect obedient girl they wanted. She wasn't like their perfect son, her brother, that gave them everything they wanted and made them proud. she is just her and unfortunately, not everyone loves her the way she is including her parent. They always see her as a failure, who always fails in school and wasn't as intelligent as her twin brother. Her brother had gotten a scholarship in the popular Asian Sports university, while she attends the University for middle class citizens, studying the one thing her parent hates, music. She took in a deep breath and looked away.

Sara leaned closer, "Mitch is hosting a party tonight in her house, 8pm. Gonna come?"

Going to the party will be a sure way to have fun, away from the family who keeps rubbing her failure to her face, and always reminding her that she wouldn't make it or get a job. She faced Sara and smiled, "Who would miss that for anything. I will be there in my flesh and soul."

"Heard there will be a kissing booth, this party is so gonna be awesome." Sara said out loud causing all attention to fall on her but she careless and cheered loudly.

The kissing booth was a no-go area for Kiara. She is always unlucky and ends up with the ugly guys. Her mind went back to the last kissing booth organized by her department and she cringed, the guy she ended up with was all hairy and itchy, with saliva dripping down his mouth when he was leaning closer to kiss her. She had ran off irritated at the sight of it, and ended up going home.

She shook her head trying to get the memory off, "The kissing booth is a no no for me."

Sara clicked her tongue and sighed, "You wanna give up just because you were unlucky in the last five kissing booth we had?"

"Five unsuccessful kiss with crazy people."

"Well......" she blinked her eyes, "You might be lucky this time. You might get your first kiss."

"Lucky? I thought I would before those five kissing booths but I ended up with the worst." she replied resting her face on her knuckles, staring at a male student across them. "Why can't I end up with someone like him?"

Sara followed her eyes and raised a corner of her lips, "Adams will always be picked by the other girls that fit his taste."

"It mustn't be him, just someone like him. A guy with dreamy eyes and a smoky voice that could melt me down. A guy with raven hairs, hazel eyes, pointed nose, attractive lips and sexy body."

"Guys like that are only for the imagination, they do not exist so get that into your brain. Be back to reality and get a guy who you will end up with. Stop this daydreams of yours."

Kiara grunted and bent her head low. Her standard in men is pretty high and maybe that's why she doesn't have a boyfriend. "Not my fault bruh, that is what novels have built up in my head." she said quietly with a low sigh. Love was something far from her as she haven't loved before and believe it doesn't exist in real life only in novels and movies. The real world she lives in, wasn't the same with the novels she reads and that is just reality. Every love is perfect in an imagination, but the truth is, love is just a fairy tale and never real. "Damn love to hell." she sighed.

She brought out a book, with the title, DYSPHORIA, boldly written on the cover page, from her bag and opened it to the page where she had kept a piece of paper. Her phone rang distracting her. She brought it out from her bag and rolled her eyes. Her annoying twin brother, always on her nerves. A professor walked in, making her to disconnect the call.
