" I will make sure that your company will dissolve slowly in front of your very eyes " an icy shallow sound of voice threatening an opponent even in his ghastly situation.
" I'll make sure to bury you alive 6 feet under, so no one will ever find you! " an evil laugh echoed on the four corner of the basement accompanying with a heavy footsteps before slowly fading away.
The four masculine men heavily beaten him and left where he lied unconcious for hours. Face unrecognizable from swelling, they forcefully drag him out of the basement and tossed him on the van like a sack of potato. Not knowing where they'll take him he inhale painfully sharp before he lost his conciousness one more time.

" Bye Audrey, see you tomorrow morning!" it's twilight Cassey wave goodbye at her bestfriend after spending some time at the shopping centre, she felt recharge and free of mind from the exhausting school activities.
A 20 years old Cassey is a top grade student since elementary grade and at the same time she manage to add a part time job on her busy schedule, she's independently supporting her studies since she can earn money for herself. The consistency on maintaining to be on top grade led her to a broader opportunity after she graduate her Business Management Course in a few months. She has a particular company she's eying for even if she recieved a number of offers from some respective companies in the cities.
Cassey focused on her study because she believed that the road ahead is opposite from what she saw on the surface and she has a strong opinion that life is unkind when your less educate person. That's why some of her suitors gave up after telling them frankly, a few serious guys are keen to pursue thier feelings to her and that included Joseph.
Joseph has been expressing his good intentions towards Cassey for 3 years long., he transfered from America due to his father's request since he's the only son to inherit thier family business, more to it., his father is strictly cultivating him to learn for an advance business knowledge. Joseph have one subject on Cassey's class two times a week then he will wait for her after the whole class ended before he can talk to her. Cassey's aloofness is very hard to approached that's why he made friends with Audrey first since she is Cassey's bestfriend, that way he can speak her easily through Audrey until she became comfortable with his presence.
After class, the best of friends decided to stroll down to the shopping centre to take a breather from thier frenzied schedule. A fresh air conditioner is highly needed since summer is over the roof temperature.
They stop at the milkshake stand first to buy each a cup. Long after a couple hours of walking they decided to go on thier separate ways, Cassey's home is not too far from the shopping center same as Audrey but on a opposite directions. On her way home her phone pinged an incoming text messages from Joseph.
" Why am I left alone?" a benevolent yet candid text pop up.
" Sorry, that was an instant decision. We'll let you know next time though." Cassey inhale sharply after sending out her reply, she doesn't have a concrete dynamic of a boyfriend girlfriend feeing for Joseph but he is very determined even if he was being rejected multiple times.
" It's okay. Where are you at? I can walk you home if you're still on the road." he said.
" I'm almost home now. Don't worry nothing will happen to me." she texted back lied to put his mind at ease. Walking from home to school everyday is no different from today, it's just that, most of the time since he started courting her Joseph felt like it's his responsibility to make her safe even if she felt safe in her own territory.
While she was busy in her thoughts Cassey was startled by a ghost sound like, somewhat groan in pain, somewhere close by but she couldn't pinpoint the direction. She quickened her steps thinking there maybe some ghost lurking around the area that she didn't know about, she walked and run and got home faster than what she'd expected.
While doing her household chores after dinner she couldn't stop thinking about what she had heard, the doubts on her mind is keep growing until her conscience won't keep her at ease, she felt that whoever it is, is successfully getting her full attention she has no focus to do her reviews, before she knew it she already had her flashlight, jacket and sneakers on.
" Hey Cassey, where are you going? Why are you wearing your jacket? " her Mom wrinkled her eyebrows curiously.
" Just outside Mom, I'll be back in a jiffy. " she inhale sharply before quickened her steps away.
" What? Okay be careful, comeback quickly if you can it's getting late! " her mom utter a words while watching her back slowly fading from the pitch dark.
She arrived at the location panting heavily, she sharpens her senses to get a clear outcome but ulteriorly she hears nothing and see nothing, the sound was gone only
replaced by crickets and frogs. Though it sounded like an obsession she wasn't dissapointed when she decided to comeback to make sure that she will sleep so soundly tonight and free from conscience. So, after a few minutes of walking back and forth and only hears her heart beating faster and crackling from what she step on, Cassey let out a deep breath before turning around to go home. Maybe her nighborhood is pulling a prank on her atleast she made sure to double check if she's hallucinating from exhaustion.
But before she can make her two steps backward she heard the distinctive groan again that startled her soul and look thoroughly pointing her flashlight like a blade cutting across anywhere she's pointed at., after calming herself she remembered an empty drainage 6 feet away from where she stands.
Panting from her quick move she disregard the uneasiness and bent full on pointed her light inside and saw a frightening figure laying, face full of blood, unrecognizable in a dire situation, the man wears a suit and tie. Cassey hesitated for a moment if she were to walk closer to him or just leave him be, after an overwhelming struggles she decided to take a step forward.
" Mr. I'll bring you to the hospital before you ran out of blood " she is extremely nervous that her voice is uncontrollably shaking.
" No. Please help me get out of here. I'll give you anything you ask I promise. Bring me to your house. " a cold voice full of authority even when gasping for air.
" Oh! Okay, no problem if that's what you wanted. " she quickly utter a words without thinking, she will figure it out how to explain it to her parents when they reach home. She uses all her strength to pull the man from the ground and supported her arms around his waist while his arm placed on her shoulder while she started guiding him thier way.
" We're almost there, just bare with me for awhile." she said they both panting short of breath.
She noticed that even on his dire situation he lighten the burden on her petite body.
Cassey's mom heard a commotion outside the door, her mom quickly open it and struck an awe when she saw Cassey carrying a man covered with blood.
" What are you doing Cassey? Who is he? Do you know him? " her mom shoot her daughter a question. The recent news she watched are warning the people to be careful for there is a gangs that's been hiding somewhere in the city, she just hope that this wasn't one of them.
"Mom and Dad, he asked me for help." Cassey stare at her dad.
" But we don't know him Cassey, do you?" her mom sounded very nervously.
" Let's bring him in." her dad said before Cassey can explain to her mom.
They hurridly carrying the man to her room and her dad motioned to get a clean towel and warm water to wipe his face before disinfecting his wounds.
They saw that he is frail due to blood loss, there were serious wounds on his body some are deep, some are easily treatable.
" Amanda grab me my medical kit " she remembered that her dad knew a little bit about medical stuff. Helping her dad all she can like wiping his unrecognizable face makes her dad easy to see his wounds.
" Hand me a clean towel and a warm water Cassey I'll be wiping his body." her dad said in a calm demeanor.
She ran towards the bathroom and ran back in a haste, watching her dad disinfecting the needles before he begin using it.,her dad placed a clean towel on his mouth to prevent him from grinding his teeth then poured a disinfecting alcohol all over his wounds before he begins.
Watching the man grinding his teeth in the towel in pain while her dad is carefully stitching his wounds with no anesthesia applied, she couldn't help but cringed until she saw him passed out from pain. Cassey let a sigh of relief after her dad's save the man's life, she then pick up the gauze and the bloody towels scattered on the floor before she slowly closes the door behind her. Cassey's glad that the excruciating pain she had witnessed was finally over, they will let the man sleep peacefully on her bed tonight maybe tomorrow when he wakes up he can go back to where he came from.
After cleaning herself, she lay a heavy blankets on the couch for her bed. Her thoughts brought her to the man she had helped, she wonder how he gets there and how he was heavily beatin up. A question on his identity lingers through her mind until she has fallen asleep so soundly.
