When we arrived at the dark kingdom it was past noon and we were exhausted I told my partners to rest let me go talk to the king. I was directed to go to the throne room were the agreement will take place when I walked up to the throne only to be greeted by a musky scent mixed with forest and ocean I glanced up and saw him my mate.
I stared at him and he did the same. I was dumb trucked to see my mate this handsome and hot eye contact was broken by a slim figure with blonde hair coming closer to my mate and didn't push her away she stood in front of and pecked his cheeks which he responded by kissing her knuckle . I felt a sharp pain cut through my body and I had to take deep breaths to calm myself . The demon Lord his father showed up.

When we got seated at a large table with five chairs we proceeded.
"As you say, my lord, there have been problems with the soldiers, so I discussed it with my team, which they agreed to carry out, but we will need a profit," I reasoned out.
"Why do you need a profit from it? We are the ones trying to find a solution." My friend's girlfriend spoke out of stupidity.

"The project is about making a larger size of land for each land for planting and smaller ones for animals' storage to be consumed," she replied.

"Let me say it's not personal gain is just for the people who has been complaining about lack of food and shortages," said meeting up with his gaze.

“But before you take your leave, I will like to ask how many days are you staying here?" He asked.
"Probably two months for now,” I replied.

The way my mate spoke and addressed the matter at hand really impressed me and the way she answered Keri was so politely now I was feeling guilty for the first time but just felt like to forget it. You will be lying if I said I was not dissatisfied the reason is because Keri is from a well known family that run business but my mate has nothing she doesn't even have a family all her details is about being the demon Lord assistant and being part of a team I was expecting more like second in commander but nothing of sort I just forget her and move unlike nothing happened when we got to my chambers.
"Baby I think she is asking too much,"Keri whined.
