Nia's POV

"Shine bright like a diamond, shine bright like a diamond.." I was singing and dancing all by myself while trying to clean my room before Jason saw it.

Jason is my elder brother, ten years older than me and he is the only family I have, name it mother, father, or even sister. He is everything to me and he Pampers me a lot but at the same time teaches me to be the best version of me.

Some noise from my window caught my attention and I went to check what was happening there only to see Jade, my best friend, trying to come in through the window.

"What are you doing?" I asked, almost shouting.

This is not the first time she is doing something like this but she will get us both in deep trouble if Jason sees her here.

We got in late last night  and he is still mad at me for that.

"Coming in of course" she replied like nothing was wrong with her action.

"Of course I can see that," I replied, rolling my eyes at her.

"Give me a hand" she begged as she tried unsuccessfully to get herself inside, I gave her a hand and we both ended up on a heap on the floor.

"Get up!" I groan before she crushes me to death.

"Come on stand up and come and get dressed" she said after getting up in a rushed tone.

"Why?"

"What is it again?" I ask experatedly.

"Just obey and ask no question" she replied and went into my closet to pick a dress for me.

"I'm not going anywhere with you because I haven't finished cleaning the mess you made last night and I don't think I am ready for another one" I grumble, definitely not liking where this is going.

"Mess I made, or we made?" She asked.

"Anyway, that doesn't matter, it's  in the past, just come and get dressed," she replied.

And that was it.

I have no heart to say no to her, any where she takes me I can't lie it is always adventurous.

But for that adventure I will surely pay the price when Jason realizes I'm gone especially without tidying up my room.

"Let me go get more drinks" Jade whispered in my ear before standing up.

She has had more than enough already, her words are slightly slurred now.

Jason said I'm too young to take alcohol, that's why I'm not drinking like her.

Doing that will be like digging my own grave.

I have no idea whose party this is but Jade dragged me here and we crashed into it. It's getting hella late and she doesn't look like she is ready to leave.

It took her some minutes to get back and she returned with no shoes on and fuming mad.

"What happened?" I was alarmed.

"Some bitch dared me and I showed her the map to my feet" she replied kicking the air.

This is exactly what I was avoiding, we came look decent and beautiful and now one of us doesn't even have her shoes on.

"Let go home" I yelled into her ear, a good shower is the only remedy to her craziness right now.

"No" she replied and made to leave before hell broke loose.

The whole place turned upside down as everyone ran into each other, screams and yells echoing, the once loud music stopped leaving only the noise from the confusing commotion.

I held Jade's hand, scared that we might lose each other in the stampede.

While I was trying to figure out what was happening I got pushed to the floor and Jade let go of my hand.

I got stepped on by others that were running and the pain that hit me passed me out.

I woke up in a room, scarcely lit.

The only source of lightning was from the window.

The sky was dark and I was feeling pain all over my body.

I groan as I try to sit up, the bed I am sleeping on is super large and it feels like it is going to swallow me whole.

I realized I was wearing clothes that weren't mine.

Painfully the memories from when I was last awake come rushing.

I almost yell when I remember that I am not home.

Jason would be freaking out, where is Jade?.

How did I get here?.

Series of questions was running through my mind when the open window called my attention.

I remember immediately my own window at home and how Jade got in before we went to the stupid party that got me in this mess.

I walked to the window and looked and I almost shit my pants.

This must be the tallest building in the city.

There's no way I would make it out alive, the shock would have killed me before I touched the ground.

Looking down from the window gives me anxiety.

I started thinking of another way to get out of here before I started hearing voices from outside the door, I jumped back on the bed and pretended to be asleep, hitting my head while doing so.

Ouch! I cried inside.

The door opened a minute or so later and I could barely breathe scared that I would get caught.

I'm the victim here and am not supposed to be panicking but I have no idea who my abductor is.

I closed my eyes tightly not moving an inch, I could hear and feel someone walk towards the bed but except that the whole room was quiet.

Without warning a kiss landed on my forehead and I snapped my eyes open immediately.
