" Today is my first day at college mom, Mia said looking at the pendant around her neck. I'm nervous as hell. Life hasn't been easy since you left mom, I'm sorry for being a coward who couldn't even save her own mother". She wipe a tear from the corner of her eye.

" Please don't kill me, I do anything bad to you. Why are you doing this", Elizabeth pleaded, crying for help.

" You should've thought about your life, When you were busy f*cking a married man, The man roar, When you were busy destroying a perfect family that's when you should've thought about your life". The man said as he slap her for the third time then shot her in the head.

Mia watch from under the bed as her mother lifeless body fell on the ground, She sob quietly under the bed.

She was brought out of the memory lane by Harris Scott her stepfather.

" I've been calling you for a while now dear,Is something wrong" Mr. Scott questioned worriedly.

" No nothing is wrong father, I'm fine don't worry about me" Mia answered.

" Okay dear are you ready for your first day at the college" asked Harris.

" Yes I'm ready father" Mia replied with a smile on her face.

Harris smile back at her, Come on let's go down for breakfast. Mia nodded and went down with Her father.

" At the dining room"

" Aiden where is your brother" Mr. Scott questioned his second son with his eyebrows furrowed up.

" He left for the office" Aiden answered and roll his eyes at Mia as if blaming her for everything happening.

Mia bow her head feeling bad about the whole situation. She blames her self for everything that's happening. Even though her room is next to Kendrick's room , She hardly see him is like he's invincible.

She has try over a year now by waiting outside his room to talk to him and apologies for coming into their lives.

At times she falls asleep on the floor only to wake up the sound of moaning coming from his room. But it wasn't new to her since he came back, She has been hearing these sounds from him and his girlfriend almost every night. He doesn't show up for at the dining room with her around like he's avoiding her.

But she doesn't plan to stop until he listens to her.

" Mia from now onwards here is your new home" Mr. Scott said with a sad smile on his face whiles staring at Mia but she stood expressionless.
