Shovelling through her closet, a groan escaped her lips. She felt as though amongst all her millions of clothing there was no one she could wear to accompany her dad to the place which he had called to take her to.
"Mandy!" She yelled the name of her personal maid who came running in.
"Yes, Madi" Mandy walked in and a laugh escaped through her lips as she saw Madi seated on the floor, in her closet with a pout on her stunningly beautiful face.
"I don't know what to wear today, dad just called and informed me that he would be taking me out. Mandy I don't know what to do" she sounded frustrated as she pushed her slim hands into her bracelet box.
"Well..." Mandy took a walk into the closet "I think you should wear this gown, it'll suit you perfectly" she showed Madi a blue laced gown.
"Nah" she pouted her lips and paused "I want something simple" she said.
"Did sir exactly tell you where he'll be taking you to?" Mandy asked.
"No he said I should get dressed. he'll be back in..." She paused when the loud voice of Mr halter, her dad, echoed through the walls of the great mansion.
"Madison come here now, we don't have time on our side" her fathers voice came out rather frustrated than excited.
"Mandy give me the dress" she yanked the dress from Mandy and immediately striped out of the dress which she wore and wore the blue laced dress.
"How do I look?" She asked immediately she wore the dress on her petit body. Along with her heels.
"you look gorgeous Madi, Now go before he losses it" Mandy pushed Madi lightly out of her room.
"Bye, see you soon" Madi said before running towards Mr halter."Dad let's go" she said and he nodded and they both walked towards his car which he drove into the busy streets of Chicago.
Their drive was a silent one and that made Madi feel a bit uneasy, what was wrong?, she thought.
"Dad is anything wrong?" She asked the minute they halted Infront of a big golden gate which stood in a scanty place. The placed looked deserted.
"Uhm... Nothing is wrong" her father's smile did not reach his eyes. She knew very well that something was indeed wrong, she was skeptical.
"Okay" she decided not to push any futher. She changed the topic "where are we?" She asked as they drove into a bigger version of their mansion.
"A place that'll soon become your home" her fathers answer felt weird. Yes all that was happening was weird. Mr Halter was a person of great enthusiasm, he was one of the reason why she did not miss her mother that much when she had lost her ten years ago to a tremendous fire outbreak.
"Should we hop out?" She asked. Her father made no move of coming down.
"Yeah sure" her father cleaned the sweat that was forming on his forehead. Something was definitely wrong.
They both climbed out of her fathers generation Rolls Royce and stepped their foot on the ground of the deserted mansion. Which looked like no soul lived in it.
"This place is nice, did you bring me here to check it out?" She asked. Looking at the Mansion, A look at it you would think it was scanty and had no one living in it but she was indeed wrong, people stayed in there.
"Let's go in" her father threw a deaf ear at her question and walked further towards the golden door, with Madi trailing behind him.
He pressed on the door bell twice and it was immediately opened by a fat looking old lady who stood in her maids uniform.
"Where is Damien?" Her father whispered which seemed weird to her.
"He has been expecting you, follow me" The lady took a glimpse at Madi who smiled in return.
"Alright let's go in Madison" her father said and she gave him a nod and walked in.
The lady led them upstairs into a dark office which smelled like coffee and cigarettes. Damien was in there and swiveling on the swivel chair in a rhythmic manner.
"Mr Gold, they are here" the old lady whose name was Tessa made their existence known to Damien who sat rotted to the chair.
"You may go Tessa" Damien's voice sent a shrill through the spines of the trio that stood before him.
"Okay sir" Tessa turned arround and left them there with Damien who stood up on his feet. Madi felt scared. for one, the room was dark and the man before them owned a voice that could send a person digging his or her own grave. His voice was indeed demanding.
"Is she here?" Damien asked calmly but there was a full flair of command in his tone.
"Yes, she is here Damien" Mr Halter was quick to respond. There was something definitely wrong, that, she was certain.
"you may leave" Damien said. "Now" he added and Mr Halter immediately turned arround and made a move which was stopped by Madi who could feel him turning away.
"Where are you going to dad?" She held his coat.
"I'm sorry, you belong to him now" her father yanked her arm away from his coat and stormed out in a quick pace. She felt confused, belonged to him how?. This was all weird and scary to her.
"Don't fear little one. I'll take care of you" Damien said. She could feel him taking steps towards her and her breath accelerated.
"Who are you and why am I here?" She felt the urge to cry.
"You are mine" Damien said while turning on the light. Staring at him, she knew he was one not to toy with. His eyes were blue and had a strong aura of great power and authority.
"Who are you?" She asked. Hearing her voice, he knew she was scared beyond words as she started moving back wards.
"You'll hurt your back If you continue moving" he crossed his arm across his broad chest. "And for your question, I'm your new owner!"
