—Gab's Point of View—
"Wooooaaah!" I gasped as I jumped off the taxi. Standing in front of me were the tall and wide gates of Carlo's High: school for the elites. The place looks undeniably beautiful and just by looking at it, there's no doubt that it's a prestigious school. Students wearing fancy accessories, designer clothing, and many more. They don't even look like teenagers with the way they dress.
I tightened my grip on the straps of my bag and walked in, bowing my head as I felt their disgusted stares at me. Are the rich always like this?
"Ouch!" I heard a girl hiss as she patted her shirt. My gosh! Did I just bump into someone? I'm so stupid! Ugh!
"Uhm, oh! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you…" I bowed several times, hoping for the ground to eat me up in embarrassment when I felt a soft, warm hand on my shoulder and heard a chuckle. I stopped at what I was doing and slowly raise my gaze.
"It's okay. Let me guess, you're a newbie, right?" the pretty girl I bumped into smiled. I nodded at her and stood up straight. Bingo! She's not as bitchy as what I've seen in many movies.
"Hm, yes… I am," I shyly said and looked down.
"Don't be shy. Anyway, I'm Kai." She extended her hands.
"H-hi, Kai. N-nice to meet you," I said, and we shook our hands.
"Nice to meet you too." She has a friendly attitude, a pretty face, and a wonderful body. I hope we can be friends.
"Uhm, Can I ask for help? A little favor, perhaps?" I shyly said and looked at her, feeling tense. She looked left and right before leaning closer to my ears.
"What is it? will that favor make us high or low?" she whispered to my ears that made me confused. My brows arched as I look at her bus she just cackled.
"Kidding, what is it?" the girl continued.
"Uhm, you know that I'm just a newbie and I didn't really ---" she then cut me off.
"Asking for directions?" she asked. What a pleasant friend to have--- if we become friends.
"Uhm, yeah…?" I nodded.
"Yeah, here…" she pulled something from her bag. It was folded, but by looking at it, it looks like a map. She handed it to me and I can't stop myself from expressing my gratitude.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I said and smiled at her in relief.
"Always welcome, no worries," she winked. I was about to turn away when she called me.
"Y-yes?" I asked, a little worried about what she might say. Have I done something wrong?
"What's your name, by the way?" she asked. I was about to answer her when she suddenly placed her arm around my neck. The awkwardness was all I can feel but tried to hide it.
"U-Uhm, Gab… Gabriella Morte," I said and forced a smile. She smells so good!
"Okay!" she replied and raised her hand in the air. There I realized she was holding a camera. She clicked the button, and it was too late for me to say anything.
"Thanks, Gab, see you around!" she waved goodbye. She left me on my spot, standing, and still hadn't recovered from the shock. This girl is full of surprises.
I stared at the map Kai gave me and kept on walking backward until I felt like I step on someone's feet. I slowly turned around, but just as I was about to do so when I felt my hair being pulled by this girl who looked like a mad dragon.
"Ah!" I shouted as I felt the pain in my scalp. I feel like any moment, It'll peel off.
"An ugly trash stepped on my foot! Who do you think you are?!" she shouted at me as if I'm some kind of criminal. She looks pretty, but her attitude doesn't fit her. Lmao.
"Aw! Ouch! It hurt----" she cut me off, pulling my hair more intensely.
"You will be hurt indeed!" she said and pulls me using my hair down to the field. "Does it hurt?" she asked and lean closer to me. Is she stupid?! Of course, it is!
"Hmm," I groaned as I try to get off her hands but to no avail. I can feel my tears building up in my eyes. The pain is unbearable.
"What is happening here?!" A familiar voice from behind filled the entire area.
"And who are you?!" the bitchy girl asks and raises her brows.
"None of your business, queen bee... wanna be," she said and smirk before she pulls that girl's hand off of me.
"You're nothing but trash!" the girl shouted and tried to hurt Kai, but before she could do so, Kai moved fast and dodged the witch's hand.
"Not as desperate as you, wannabe," Kai said and smirked before extending her hands and pulled me up.
"What a nice first day of school… appreciated it," I sarcastically whispered and continued walking with Kai.
