"Honey,you're gonna be late for your first day at school"Mom shouted from the kitchen

"I'll be down in a minute "I replied fixing my lengthy hair into a high ponytail, satisfied with my look I joined my mom for breakfast

"There you're, you looking pretty"mom said with a smile that filled her face

"Thanks mom,I'll skip breakfast I love you bye"i said waving her a bye...

I hailed a taxi and told the driver my destination

In fifteen minutes I was already standing in front of the school gate bodly written BROOKLYN LATIN HIGH ,a smile escaped my face it feels like I'm day dreaming I've always dreamt of enrolling at this school but my mom couldn't afford it,I thank the stars for being granted the scholarship

Different fancy cars were driving in and out of the school compound ,I noticed a photo of a girl and a boy both were holding a trophy it's like they're the top achievers ...are these people humans??they look so pretty especially the boy he looks like a girl I smiled at my remark and entered the school premises

I clutched my books to my chest and began walking trying to make sure that none of these cars knock me down, I passed many students walking in pairs some were two or three I couldn't help but stare at them they looked like top models that are seen only on TV,I bumped into someone my books fell ...great!!what a perfect way of starting a day

"Watch it"a girl scoffed rudely and walked away holding a guys hand it seems like she's popular almost everyone was handing her gifts and complimenting her

I bent down to pick my books someone helped me pick them up....

"Thank you"I muttered under my breath while collecting them from her,we began walking

"Newbie??"She asked with a smile that never left her face and I nodded

"You should be careful around here especially around her she's a witch,I'm surprised she didn't cause a scene "she said and stopped walking

"Ohh I'm sorry I'm Hannah"She said stretching her hand for a handshake

"I'm Hazel,it's nice to meet you Hannah"I said and shook hands with her

She seems like a nice person I love her already...she kept on talking until I got to the Dean's office where I got a new smartphone,a watch,class timetable, lockroom number and sportswear ........I wasn't expecting a smartphone buh he said someone sponsored me with it

"I'm having maths first what about you??"She asked looking at my timetable

"Great we are having maths,let's go before space gets filled up"she squirled and dragged me inside the class which was almost filled up

We occupied the first row within few minutes the lesson began...he covered my favorite topic Euclidean geometry

"Anyone who want to try this out??"Mr James asked looking around but no one stood up to attempt it only murmurings were heard

I knew the answer so I stood up and solved it within a minute.....Mr James was impressed

The class cheered for me "Wow,it seems like the newbie is a genius"I heard a girl say behind me

"It looks like she's going to steal Natasha's spotlight "I heard another one say and I chuckled

Lessons continued until it was lunchtime.....I groaned and stood up I was fvcking hungry I eat alot but I have a flat stomach....

"Hazel wait up,are u that hungry"Hannah said trying to catch up with my pace

"I'm hungry,I skipped breakfast "I said when she catched up with me

"What are you having for lunch"Hannah asked immediately when we got to the cafeteria

"Chicken salad with grape juice"I said and pouted my lips

"Take this,let's go sit over there"She handed me a glass of juice and pointed at a table which had no one..

I felt many eyes on me as I made way to the table that was at the end...."she looks so hot,gosh look at that ass"I heard some peeps whispering

"Hannah I've looking all over for you"Ella said and hugged Hannah

I just continued eating in silence as they talked about random stuffs

"Honey who's this???"She asked and that's when I looked up our eyes met

"She's my new friend her name is Hazel...Hazel meet my bestie"Hannah said

"Hyy,it's nice to meet you"I smiled revealing my deep dimples

"Oh cutey I love you already, are u a newbie??"she asked hugging me I nodded

"Your so cute ...I'm sure Tasha is angry wherever she is ,she has a competitor now "She said and grinned

"I told her to be careful around her,she might try to ruine her cute face"Hannah said and cupped my face in her hands

"I'll catch up with you later my manager just called "Ella said and waved us bye

We continued with our lessons and that's how my first day went on
