Raven Sky Zalvarez's POV
Have you ever tried to be talked about in front of you? It's a bit amusing and awkward hearing them talking.
"What?", Rhain exclaimed using her high pitched voice which is a bit agonizing for my ears. They were talking for about five minutes and I did not bother to join them.
"Rhain, you need to calm down." My father said showing her gestures to take her seat. She doesn't mean to be rude but among us siblings, I can say that she is blessed with so much energy.
"No, Dad! No one will calm down. What got onto you? Why will you let my twin to attend that barbaric all boys school. I beg to disagree. I will NEVER let you do that. Oh, please!" she said acting so desperate. I somehow understand her, she's been with me every where possible during our entire life and suddenly, we will be separated. She will stay in Artemis and I will stay in Apollo. She needs to adjust having me away from her. It is indeed an all boys school but I don't think it's a bad idea.
"She will not be hurt there. I just need your sister to look after block A." Our father said. I agree with him on that part, who will have a gut to hurt me inside a school?
"And why should it be Sky? We have several students in the Artemis University. We have scholars, right? They all do well, why not choose someone from them?" Rhain still insist what she wants. This conversation will not end very easy.
"My decision is final. I can't trust anyone for this aside from my own child or should I sent you instead?" My father said making my sister stop from saying anything. The both of us laugh at her dumbfounded face. "On the second though, I can't sent you there. You and your personality will definitely not fit there." Our father said changing her expression from being dumbfounded to being insulted.
"Huh? What is wrong with my unique personality? I know I'm a nitpicker at times but just sometimes and it's not my fault for being born pretty." She said radiating her cute confidence. She always sounds girly and do act high and mighty at times but she only do that when she know she is right. I can't blame her for worrying.
They continue talking so I just lay down on the sofa. Our father, Vince Zalvarez, is the university owner of both Artemis and Apollo University. Artemis is an all girls school while Apollo is an all boys school. I'm not sure why do they founded the school separately. He talk about me sending to Apollo due to a certain group which is making too much trouble. He told us that the group has been reprimanded several times already but cannot be expelled since their families are all influential. Money matters, that's how influential it is.
"Hey, Sky, why don't you help me convince our Dad?" My twin helplessly looks at me. She even went near me and hug my arm. The two of us are fraternal twin so having her up close like this makes me realized that we really only have a few features in common. Heaven Rhain Zalvarez, she is indeed stubborn at times but so do I. I choose not to react and say anything.
"Look, your twin is not even saying anything against it so its alright. Right, Sky?" Our father said confirming his statement to me but again, I choose not to say anything. What is the point of arguing about it. At the end, it will be our father's victory. All our money, cars and even this house belongs to him. He will eventually win since Rhain will not push through. She is not the rebel type.
"It's not my fault that she has a lazy mouth." she said pointing at me. At times, it is fun to se them talking or more on arguing like this because both of them looks so silly in a cute manner, of course.
"And you have a very talkative mouth?" Dad answered which makes me laugh. They are all good, I stand up and went outside Dad's office. I choose not to decline his wish since this might be it. Who knows, this might bring thrill in this so-so life? Going to Apollo might be my source of excitement and color for this bare life.
It's around 6 am in the morning, I am ready to go to Apollo University but my Rhain keeps on telling me things to remember.
"Oh my gosh, I will miss you Sky!" she reiterated for several times already. I don't really get her separation anxiety as of the moment since we are still in the same city. We can still see each other every weekend.
"Stop it, Rhain. I'll go home every weekend, ok?" I said as I tried to refrain her hands from touching my already messy hair.
"You should just help me by telling Dad that you don't want to go." She said acting cute. She will really have a hard time finding a new roommate or maybe, she will not find any roommate. Apollo and Artemis do have dormitories and we stayed there every weekday. Now that I will not be around Artemis for heaven's know how many months, I'm sure she will stay alone every night.
"It's not like we will win against him, right? Besides, this must be the thrill I am looking for. You do know how bored I am here in Artemis, right? At least in Apollo, nobody will know who I am and I can do things I like to do." I said showing her my wacky face. She rolled her eyes as she sat on the sofa crossing her legs.
"Here we go with the word "thrill". I don't really get it." She said with a bit of annoyance. I was about to answer her when somebody knocked on the door. We both look at the door. I prepared my things to carry and Rhain lazily stands up too.
"Ms. Sky, the driver is here already." One of our father's butlers said. My father does have several butlers but he is not a bad master so I think it's good. At least he can provide work opportunities.
"Oh here is the moment of truth. Wait, let me prepare my tears." Rhain exaggeratedly said using her hands to fan her eyes displaying her long nails. Ahuh, are we really siblings? If somebody asks me to describe my twin, I will probably tell them that she is such a drama queen.
"Stop it, Rhain. You look stupid doing that." I said giggling as we walked out of the room.
"Huh, Stupid? For your information, you will miss this stupid sister of yours. Imagine, no one will wake you every morning. You do know how hard it is for me to wake you up, right? No one will also prepare your home made foods and you can't cook. You and kitchen together is a big no. Oh, who will help you to doll up? You will definitely look like a rug with your sense of fashion. Who will remind you that you have a strawberry allergy? Who will..."
"Shhh..." I stopped her from talking. We are already standing right in front of the car.
"Don't worry too much, okay? I can do this, Rhainiee." I said as I tap her right shoulder. she pouted her lips which made her look like a duck. She hates it when I call her Rhainie. We both laugh at each other.
"Hahaha... I'll go ahead. I'll send you a message later." I said as I entered the car without waiting for her answer. I ask the driver to drive already because I am a hundred percent sure that Rhain will still say something that will just delay us.
....
About an hour or two, we arrived at Apollo University. It is just like Artems, the only difference is that I can see a wild field here for soccer which we don't have in Artemis and I can see several male students walking, playing and talking to each other everywhere. I went down the car and was about to go inside the University gate when a guard stopped me.
"I'm sorry but you are not allowed to enter." he politely said.I reached out my school registration form to him. He looks shocked as his forehead furrows. He looks at me from head to toe which is really awkward.
"Ahmm... Miss, this is an all boys school." He said which makes me show a big question mark on my face. well, not literally but hey, do I look like I can't read?
"I know." I simply answer. "It is written there sir, 3rd year block A." I said since he does not look like he believed me. Is this on purpose? Dad did not even tell them that there will be an exchange student. This is his plan afterall. Ughh... should I just go back to Artemis or should I just make a scene here and ruin this gate? I am contemplating and looking at the school guard when someone spoke from the back.
"Sir Jeff, SHE's our new student." I looked at the guy who just talked. Oh, it's a monkey. Kidding, my older Sister's boyfriend, Tim. Rhain and I treat him as our older brother since he is really good to us and is like a family. Aside from Rhain, I still have two older siblings. Myrtle is the first born child, she is the opposite of Rhain.
"Ah, I see. I'm sorry, Miss. Welcome to Apollo University." He said as he opened the gate. I should have made a scene here and tried to ruin something but on the other hand, I do not wish for them to reduce my allowance.
"Let's go, Ms. Zalvarez." Tim said, showing formality. It gives me goosebumps. I am not used to this side of him. We walked along the corridor and I can see how some of the students looked at me.
"I miss you, my little sister! "He said as he closed the door. He messed up my hair, smiling like he was playing with a little puppy.
"You really feel like a real brother?" I smirked at him. Well, I admit that I do like him as an older brother and I definitely see him as my sister's future husband but I really like to make fun of him.
"Time will come, I will be your legal brother. Ah, by the way, as what Dad said, nobody knows your background here nor the fact that you're one of the owners' successors." He says. I was about to sarcastically tell him that our father is not his father when he spoke first. "Don't try to go against the word "Dad". I love your sister and time will come, we will be happily married." again, goosebumps.
"Time will come, Myrtle will be awake from your dream and he will find somebody else." I said mimicking his time will come. Myrtle is lucky to have someone like Tim. he is so devoted to her.
"If that happens, then I will pursue her again and again but I still hope that that will never happen. You do know how hard it is to please your sister, right?" I laugh at him. Yes, she is really in pain when she wishes to. Anyway, let's go back to the original topic.
"Yeah, whatever. Anyway, since you are here, I supposed that Dad arranged you to be my class adviser or at least a teacher?" He then stands up and opens the door.
"Yes. So let us pretend not to know each other again, Ms. Zalvarez."he said. I nodded my head as we walked out of his office. As what I observe outside the gate earlier, there are a lot of male students which is obvious since this is an all boys school. I am wearing my Artemis University uniform which makes me a bit awkward. I don't like their way of gazing at me. I wish I had a uniform just like them, this uniform stands out so much.
"Ms. Zalvarez, I just want to warn you that this block is the worst section in Apollo University." Tim said, looking like a smirking dog. He does not seem to be concerned about me, he seems amused that I will be part of the worst. I grinned at him. Who are you threatening? We were about to open the door when we heard a loud crashing sound inside.
"Oh, what a great timing. You will see why we call this the worst." He whispered. I looked at the door. What is inside that room? I can hear several sounds. It sounds like someone is throwing chairs or pushing it towards the wall loudly. There are some glass crashing sounds and of course, some guys are yelling foul languages.
"Ready?" Tim said. I gulped my own saliva. I don't think this is a simple thrill.
"Yeah." I answered. He opened the door showing a chaotic scene.
Crap. Is this the excitement I am looking for? Will I just back out of this?
