CHAPTER 1
Yushiro
Sleep. Eat. Study that's my everyday routine for almost a decade. I don’t have anything to do. Ever since my parents died, my life became like this. An entirely, so boring and an uneventful life.
I lived in my auntie's boarding house, she lets me stay there for free because I'm still a minor and I can't work. She is my father’s older sister.
She's kind but we don't talk too much due to her businesses. A woman in her mid-60's, though she's strict she still supports me in my everyday life. She always wears those pair of glasses and a small notebook. I don't even know how could I pay all my debts from her and every time I ask if she would let me help her in her Cafe she always says;
"Yushiro, just study hard and on that way, you can pay me, okay?"
I really want to, but every day that I went to school feels like I'm living in hell. Although my grades are good, and the teachers always say that why I don't participate in clubs. For me, those clubs were just made of oh-so-called active students.
Besides, I don't even have a single friend.... The truth is ever since my parents die; I don't want to be with someone else. Because their death is my fault. Every time I think that something bad would happen if people will be socialized with me.

That rainy night, we are inside of my otto-san's
father
car. We are happy. Laughing while listening to the car’s radio. It was a very beautiful night not until.
Until we realized something different. Our car's break doesn’t work. Father tried to step on it too many times but it’s no use. It wouldn't have happened if I just don't insist on going to that place. Our car crashed on a tree; I lost my consciousness that time.
When I look for them, I saw otto-san and okka-san under a large tree. Their bodies were full of blood. Otto-san died immediately, while okka-san said something before she died. She touched my face and said;
"Yushiro-kun...kyotsukite.

even without us" Those were okka-san's

last words. Her hands fell....

After that Auntie decided that she will be the one that will take care of me.
I stopped remembering that horrible past when I heard knocks from the door.
"Ohayou!!
good morning
" a loud voice came from nowhere.
I remember he's Kitsuki, I don't officially call him as my friend, but I think he do. He always come here every day for ten years, encouraging me to come for school. He's a volleyball player in our school, he's also good in academics. He’s a bit tall from me. He always wears his cheerful smile wherever he goes. His blonde hair makes him even more cheerful and those pair of yellow eyes that makes him look even friendly.
I went to the door and opened it.
"Ohayou, Yushiro-kun!!" he said.
"Ohayou" I replied.
"Argh! You're still the same Yushiro, today is a good day. But your energy is low." he said while teasing me.
"Are you going to school?" He asked.
"I won't if I could, but I had no other choice."
"I understand but life in school was so fun. There clubs, new friends-- oh I forgot you don't have a friend except for me" he said. I don't know if he's encouraging me or what.
I don't even call you as my friend.
"Yushiro, I'm your one and only friend. We know each other for ten years so why don't we get along" he said
I don't think so.
Even if it's against my will, I have to go to school. As we enter the large gate, I decided to let Kitsuki go first. I went to my classroom after I check that book in the library. A few days ago, I found a book entitled “it’s not that I'm a bookworm and I love books, I just found it interesting. But every time I try to open it, it seems like destiny is stoping me.

I went outside our room and saw Kitsuki.
"Hey! Yushiro-kun!" He shouted.
"Nani?
what
" I replied
"Do you want to eat something?" He asked.
"No, thanks. Just eat by yourself I'm still full" I said
"Okiiee, then bye bye" he replied
As I went down stairs, I saw a man walking opposite on my direction. As I look at his face, I saw his exhausted eyes. Eyes of a person who doesn't want to live, its different from the other's eyes. It’s different from mine. I can tell. He has a dark aura.
As the distance between us gets shorter, my bad feelings are getting stronger.
"Sayonara....
goodbye
" he said as we encounter each other.
"Chotto matte
please wait
, do I kno--" but as soon as I turn my head to see him, he disappeared.
I climb the stairs until I get on the rooftop. I see him standing on the edge.
"E-excuse me, what are you doing?" I asked.
He didn't answer my question and at the time that I realized that he will jump. The thing that's on my mind is to run and save him.
I grab his arm; this is my first time to save a person. Even if I don't know him, there's still a part of me that wants to save him.
"Hold on!!" I spoke.
His face changed, he smiled and said;
"Just like what the prophecy said"
On that moment, it feels like my whole body can't move. He pulls my arm and I realize that I am falling. I can see the clear blue sky. It’s so beautiful, it's so funny that on the time of my sure-death, is the time where I appreciate the beautiful sky. That experience was the best, it feels like I'm touching the sky.

Until I fell from the ground.
My body aches, it hurts. I can feel the warm red liquid flowing out of my body. I can’t even see properly.
While I'm falling, I saw the man I saved jumped from the rooftop and fell gracefully like he's flying.
"Are you an angel?" I asked.
"Nope, I'm your sensei..." He replied.
"Se-sensei? Soka
I see
, but I'm dying you know. I....think this is just my hallucination.”
He placed his palm in my chest. It feels warm... No, it's cold. I can't understand how it really feels. My blood is slowly flowing back from my body. Maybe, I am really dying.
"I won't let that thing happen; you still have a mission to fulfil. I won't let you die trust me. I promise." he said.
"Hontou?

" I ask.
"Hai! I never broke a promise on my entire life..."
That's the last words I hear. I close my eyes and say goodbye to my life.
