"What do you think, Ash? Do you think Sid would like it?" I blushed at the thought, even though there was no one around and I was just talking with my wolf.

I was dressed in an Oklulu Off shoulder white lace which was custom-made with a line long sleeves ruched satin high slit dress and I paired it with a Saint Laurent pearl white heels.

My hair has been set in curls and held together with an invisible thread.

||"We look stunning, Vic."||

"Are you sure?" I implore again since I wasn't feeling too confident about the look. "I don't know what Crystal is up to, she should be here helping me pick the fit and dress me up,

||"So you don't trust my input then,"||

"Not that, Ash. I just want to be perfect, today is a very important day for Sid and for myself too, so I need to be perfect and give him a good image." I admitted,

||'I wouldn't lie to you, Victoria. You look stunning!"||

"Well, you don't sound so happy, Ash. We have to be happy. Sid is our mate and today he is going to officially name us as his Luna and give us his mark, so I need you to cooperate with me. "

||"Hmmmm,"||

I chuckled as Ash's groans reverberated in my mind, "Also, I have loads of surprises for him. Kinky surprises…hehe," I was blushing furiously at the thought. My excitement was so apparent.

"We should get moving, Ash, we don't wanna be late," I mumbled as I stood up from the dressing room to grab a few things from my room before heading to the venue.

Today was named the day of the solstice in the Moonlight Pack and it was the day that Sid was going to succeed in the role of the Pack Alpha or leader and also the day that he is going to officially name me as his Luna.

And also, it's officially my twentieth birthday.

I could feel excitement thrumming in my veins and I couldn't help it. Sid and I deserved this, we have waited so long to have this moment.

I still remember the moment Sid and I met, it was love at first sight and I can attest that I only fell deeper for him every day since that moment.

I had been so afraid that we wouldn't be compatible since I wasn't up to age yet, but I could barely hide how happy I was when we were confirmed to be mates when I turned eighteen.

He meant the world to me, and I really wanted to make today special for him at least as gratitude that he became a source of light for me when I was in a very dark place.

After my aunt and I moved to settle here in the Moonlight pack following the death of my parents, I didn't think I would have any reason to smile again but then I met Sid and there I found a reason.

After Sid and I had started dating, our love was blooming and we were so desperate for each other…desperate to a fault because we could barely stay away from each other.

I swear I could feel physical pain anytime I was far from Sid, it was unrelenting and I was so ready to bear his mark on me, a mark that would signify that I only belonged to Sid and no one else.

I wanted it so desperately.

But we couldn't, even though Sid wanted nothing more than to mark me and own me completely he couldn't and it annoyed me deeply but I also knew that I couldn't.

We couldn't go against my mother's last wish. It would be unheard of and disrespectful to my mother so we waited for the right moment and today was it, the right moment.

Picking up the invitation access envelope that I had kept securely on the bedside table, with the bag that came along with the heels I was wearing for the night, I headed out to the venue.

Sid had made sure to have a driver available that would bring me to the venue.

"Congratulations Luna," The driver greeted as he opened the car door for me to step inside, I could barely keep the smile off my face,

"Thank you but I'm not Luna, not yet., I mumbled in response,

"But very soon though. It's a hot topic among the pack members and everyone knows." He confessed and I hummed in response.

I could feel flutterings in my stomach and I was still trying to decide if it was butterflies or nervousness.

We arrived at the venue and I clutched my invitation access envelope happily as I made my way inside the venue hall ignoring the questioning gazes and murmurings that ensued as I sauntered past.

Today is my day and I wasn't about to let anyone ruin it for me with their stereotypical judgment.

If anyone had issues with me just because they think I'm an omega which makes me undeserving of being the Luna and mate of Sid, then I can't do anything to help the person with that.

Sid is my mate and Alpha and I can't wait until all their ill talks about me will bite them back in their faces later when Sid makes the big announcement.

I hasten my feet at the thought, desperate to find Sid, and just kiss him sweetly and oh, there he is…with Crystal hugging so intimately?

Ash grunted with dissatisfaction and I shook my head, "Control yourself, Ash. It's Sid's big day and Crystal is my best friend which means she has to congratulate him on that and we are all close, so they can hug. Control yourself."

I waited until Ash calmed down visibly before I started toward them. Sid was the one who spotted me first and he gave me that sweet smile I loved so much as he let go of Crystal and hurried over to me and immediately pulled me in a hug,

"Hi," He whispered softly as he pressed a kiss on my forehead and I blushed furiously.

"Hi," I responded, "You look so good, babe," I added honestly because it was true. He looked like he was carved out of a Vogue fashion magazine.

"I could say the same for you." He drawled and I laughed, "Happy birthday my love, are you ready for today?"

I sighed as I stole a glance around the room filled with both familiar and strange faces and nodded, "Yeah, I'm ready babe and also I may have a little surprise prepared for later…"

"A surprise?"

I ducked my face to hide the way my face was flushing under his intense gaze, but then he lifted my face and kissed me, and I couldn't help but moan into the kiss because it was one of the most intense kisses I'd ever shared with Sid.

Now, I couldn't wait for later.

"That is good babe…" He mumbled against my lips, "I can't wait to see what you have prepared for me tonight, I have been waiting …"

"Sorry to interrupt you disgusting lovebirds, but Sid, your parents asked that you meet other important guests," Crystal interjected much to the reluctance of both Sid and I.

I turned to glare at her playfully but then, I noticed the weird look on her face which also made me recognize that she has been watching Sid and me for a while.

Maybe she was just surprised by our public display of affection. I haven't been so clingy and affectionate with Sid before in public.

Today was the first and I liked it, I just hoped Sid liked it too, I couldn't tell.

"You look good,"

"Just good?" I retorted and Crystal rolled her eyes, "Oh well, this was all I could pull since my best friend was busy with other things. "

"Stop being dramatic Vic. You and Sid, did you guys have to swallow each other's faces like that? Ew, people in love are so disgusting, "

I shrugged in response.

She huffed, "I have a very nice gift prepared for both you and Sid later, so watch out for it."

"Oh," I said because I didn't know what else to say when someone was telling you about a gift they got for you and your mate with such an attitude.

I felt like Crystal had issues and I would have really loved to quiz her about it but the succession ceremony was already starting, so that was what held my focus.

Sid, my mate and the man of my dreams was being crowned the Pack Alpha and I could feel pride bursting out of my heart like fireworks.

I ached for our eyes to meet so he could see how much love I had for him in return compared to how much he loved me.

But our eyes didn't meet but I watched as he took the mic, his lips were tucked up in a smile, and his eyes held a familiar glint and I knew it was time.

He is about to make the announcement and….the collective gasp of everyone in the hall made it realistic that I wasn't hallucinating.

There was a video playing on the screen, and it was an explicit sex video of Sid and Crystal.

They didn't just betray me right in front of my nose!
