In Atlantica mermaid kingdom lives a beautiful and caring mermaid named Sirena. She is a princess and her family means everything to her especially her mom and sister. It's Sirena's birthday party. She's turning 21. And as the princess there's a grand celebration to celebrate her birthday. Especially this birthday because as their tradition state's...that when a princess turns 21 she has to marry a prince from another mermaid kingdom to build their relationship as kingdom's.

I can't believe i'm 21 today!!
Sirena wiggles her mermaid tail in excitement but her friend's Moana and Alcina don't share the same excitement. Sirena knows they hiding something from her.
Sirena:

Am i missing something...ladies?
Tiani and Alcina sigh and exchange looks. Sirena grinds her teeth in frustration. And they both know they have to talk.
Tiani:

Didn't the queen tell you?
Sirena:

Tell me what?!
Tiani: Sirena.... you'd be getting married to king Edward of Shellcraft mermaid kingdom.
Sirena looks shocked for a few seconds and she burst's out laughing.
Sirena: Your'll are CRAZY!
Alcina:

I'm afraid not.
Sirena's heartbeat increases. But she trust's her best friends. They can't tell such a lie on her birthday celebration. Sirena swim's to her sisters direction. And pulls her to the side.
Moana: Ouch! careful!
Sirena ignores her and she starts to whisper .
Sirena: Is there something you need to tell me...SISTER!
Moana: Wooah!!... whatever you have going on..don't involve me..litttle sister.
Sirena: Exactly!! You the elder sister here... then why am i promised to king Edward.
Moana is in shock, she can't believe that her sister knows the truth that they have been hiding from her. Queen Kailani sees her daughter's engaging in a heated conversation and swim's in their direction to find out what's going on.
Queen Kailani:

I hope everything is ok?
They are both startled by their mother's voice. Sirena turns to her mother trying so hard not to raise her voice.
Sirena: Mom... am i promised to marry Edward?
Queen Kailani is shocked that her daughter has come to know the truth. Moana excuses herslef. Queen Kailani tries to calm her daughter down but she knows she won't win. Her daughter has a very short temper just like her.
Queen Kailani : Honey.. i... i was going to inform you.
Sirena looks at her mom the queen in shock. She can't believe she was blindsided by the people she loves and cares about. But she doesn't understand how this is possible. Because king Edward is supposed to be promised to her sister since she's the elder sister.
Sirena: Mom... Moana ?
Queen Kailani understands her daughter's question. She sighs and carries on speaking.
Queen Kailani: King Edward is around the same age as you. His a young king and it would be disrespect if we let me wed your elder sister. Your'll are childhood friend's...so it's only understandable.
Sirena looks at her mom in shock and disgust. She can't believe such a huge decision was made for her and nobody cared to tell or ask how she would feel... especially her own MOM!!. Tear's in her eyes don't portray how she feels. Such betrayal and hurt...only she knows how deep it is.
Queen Kailani:

Sirena:

DON'T TELL ME YOU KNOW HOW I FEEL!!... YOU A HEARTLESS MOTHER. AND JUST TO LET YOU KNOW..."MOM!!" I WILL NOT MARRY HIM!!!
Sirena looks around to see that everybody is now looking at her, many in pity . She swim's away as far away from the royal mermaid palace. Queen Kailani looks over her hurt daughter swim away. She looks over her daughter's best friend's.
Queen Kailani: Follow her
They both rush after her and everybody in the palace that came for the princesses 21st birthday party all suddenly leave. Many gossiping about what the princess will finally decide. Queen Kailani walks around conflicted... she knows her daughter's word's were no threat but a fact. Sabrina the royal mermaid witch sees that the queen is thinking about her daughter's threat.
Sabrina: You know Sirena... nobody will force her to do anything...even you. I think...
Queen Kailani: No! we can't tell king Edward this news. You Sabrina of all people know how our tradition works. She has to wed king Edward.
Sabrina: I know we have no option. But we have to be clever about this. We have to tell her that if she refuses... the kingdom will suffer...you know how she cares about the kingdom.
Queen Kailani looks impressed about Sabrina's statement. Moana looks over them... disgusted about their sickening plan.
Later on. Sirena is still swimming angrily away from the palace.
Sirena: I can"t believe them!!
She suddenly hears that someone is following her... she stop's ready for battle.
Sirena:

Show yourself...now!!
Immediately Tiani and Alcina appear before the princess attack's them. Sirena calms down and stares at them....irritated.
Sirena:

Mom sent both of you here ... right?
Tiani and Alcina exchange looks ... worried about the princesses next reaction.
Tiani: Sirena we not your enemies here. We are your friend's.
Sirena: Friend's who lied to me!!

Tiani and Alcina look sorry. Sirena is about to leave when Alcina starts to speak.
Alcina: We promised the queen Sirena. I'm sorry if we look like bad friend's but we were protecting you and i know you know it.
Sirena:

Fine. But your loyalty lies to me not my mother or Moana.
Alcina and Tiani nod happily and there all hug.
Sirena: Since you both followed me here ... i want to share my favourite place with you both.
Sirena immediately lead's the way and her friend's immediately follow .... excited.
After a few minutes of swimming Alcina and Tiani stop following Sirena when they realise where she's heading. Sirena notices that they have stopped and turn's back to confront them.
Sirena: Come on! we close i promise.
Alcina and Tiani exchange nervous looks.
Tiani: Princess you know that land is for the humans not us mermaid's. We are forbidden to surface. The humans can't possibly see us. They dangerous!!
Sirena laugh's at Tiani's statement. She prepares to continue with the journey but Tiani and Alcina don't follow. Sirena sighs in frustration.
Sirena:

Adventure! don't you want to see the humans, land,cars and the tall light buildings.
Siena tries to hype her friend's and they are curious. They all head to Sirena's favourite spot.
They all peak their head's out to the land of the humans. Tiani and Alcina's breath's are taken away by the beauty. The cars, human laughter, tall buildings that light up and the so free spirited people who live there. Alcina and Tiani admire this life but Sirena wants this kind of life. She look's at the land and the humans with so much longing and wishing. Only if she could turn human for a day.
Alcina: We have to leave. The queen was worried about you when you left the party.
Sirena is annoyed by the mention of her mother but she sigh's and they dive into the water and leave for the palace. Sirena can't stop thinking about her favourite place... the human world....EARTH.
Later on, Sirena is in her room looking out the window. All she see's is water and different mermaids,seashells and sand. She loves her life but she longs to explore earth one day. Maybe run away forever and never come back. But inside she knows that she can't possibly do that because she has a duty to fulfill. Being a princess of Alantica mermaid kingdom. And she promised her late father that she will never forsake her kingdom. Her father trusted her with it and she forsakes every dream and desire that she may have in order to be perfect for her kingdom and the people that live in it. Suddenly she is disturbed by her mother's presence. She's not alone ... follows Sabrina the royal families witch. Sirena sighs in exhaustion because she knows why they both here.
Sirena: I'm not going to do it. I have made my decision.
The queen is not pleased with her daughters reply and so is the royal witch ... Sabrina.
Sabrina: I thought you kept your promises princess Sirena.
Sabrina starts with the blackmailing.
Sirena:

I beg your pardon?! ... i never promised anybody that i would marry king Edward.
Princess Sirena is not pleased. The queen immediately speaks before the situation gets out of hand.
Queen Kailani: You promised your father that you'd do anything for this kingdom Sirena. I thought you'd stick to your word?
Sirena: How is marrying Edward saving this kingdom. Is he blackmailing us? because if he is ... i could talk to him myself!!
Sabrina and the queen panic. Sirena can't possibly talk to king Edward because he'll know that she doesn't wish to be married to him and that might make him furious and cut all ties with the kingdom. And that could break the great alliance of both kingdoms. They have to think of something and quick!
Sabrina: If you do that ... he'll be furious to know that you don't wish to marry him and may break this alliance!
Sirena:

I DON'T CARE!! HOW CAN I MARRY SOMEONE I DON'T LOVE?!
Sirena is all over the place. Sabrina and the queen didn't know this was going to be hard. But they know that they have to convince princess Sirena.
Queen Kailani: Sirena! your dad made this alliance with Shellcraft mermaid kingdom when you were just born. Him and the late king of Shellcraft were best friends. You and Edward were born around the same time. This was considered a sign. So both kingdom's created an alliance , but to make it even more stronger. It was decided that you marry Edward. You marrying no stranger sweetheart, his your best friend for God sake!! And it's was your father's dying wish.
Sirena look's at her mother defeated she can't possibly answer her. What hurts her most is that it was her father's dying wish. She can't understand her own thought's anymore. She pleads with her mother. She really doesn't want to marry king Edward. She wants to marry someone she loves and a person that will love her back. But nobody understands her .... not even her own mother at this point. Just thinking about that she weeps. Queen Kailani tries to comfort her but she distances herself from her.
Sirena:
WEEPING
But i don't love him.
Queen Kailani is hurting to see her daughter in pain but she can't help but raise her voice in anger.
Queen Kailani: IT'S NOT LIKE YOU IN LOVE WITH ANOTHER. YOU WILL MARRY KING EDWARD!!
Sabrina is shocked by the queen's sudden outburst. Queen Kailani suddenly leaves the room before she escalates the situation even further. Sabrina follows behind after reassuring Sirena that she'll try and fix everything.
Later on Moana is in her room sobbing. Sirena walks past her room and notices her elder sister crying. She immediately enters her room to find out what's going on.
Sirena:

Moana is startled by Siena's presence. She quickly wipes her tears and faces her sister ... angry.
Moana: Look who entered my room without my permission. OH!!... IT'S EDWARD'S FIANCEE AND MOM'S FAVOURITE CHILD .... SOON TO BE QUEEN SIRENA!!

Sirena is taken aback by her sister's tone of voice and her statement. But she decides to let it go beacause she doesn't know what she's going through.
Sirena: OOOOOK .... i'll just leave you to it then. Tell me when you ready to tell me what's wrong and when you have less attitude.
Sirena is about to leave when Moana start's speaking. And she's far from calming down.
Moana: I wanted to be the next queen! i'm the one who is suppose to marry king Edward not you! i'm the oldest for God sake!!
Moana begin's throwing thing's around. Sirena tries to calm her down but she yanks her away from her.
Sirena:
SCREAMING
I don't want Edward either. Moana stop this!!
Moana stop's throwing things around and faces her sister with a irritated smirk on her face.
Moana: I know you going to marry him Sirena! ... it's "father's'' wish after all. And i know you. You honour dad's wish even if it's makes you unhappy.
Sirena look's away in shame. She knows that her sister is speaking the truth. At first she hated the idea of marrying Edward but after her mother told her that it's their father's dying wish she is starting to reconsider. But now it's more complicated because her sister's heart is at stake. She turn's away and leaves. She needs to be alone and she knows the perfect place to relax and think.
Later on Sirena has reached her favourite place. She takes a risk and comes out of the water and finds a rock nearest to the water. She enjoys the sunlight and her mermaid tail on land. She knows if people knew where she disappears to. Her mother won't be pleased because it's forbidden and her uncle was killed by the humans when he broke the rule. But she can't help but fall in love with the place. It's like there's more to what her mother tells them about the human world. Many believe it's a cursed place. But Sirena can't help but keep falling in love with the place .... day by day. Suddenly she is startled by horrible sound's. She immediately jumps into the water and she peaks to see what is really going on. She spot's two males engaging in a sword fight. They are talking and making jokes as they fight. So she relaxes because it's nothing serious.
Suddenly the sword fight that seemed friendly turns south. One of them slices the other with his sword on his stomach. The other male falls down in pain and shocked by this attack.
