The year 1350, over a thousand years, had passed since the defeat of the destroyer at the hands of the two legendary heroes, Raggeth and Augustus. After the destroyers death this world, Chronovia was divided into two parts, each part being given to each of the heroes. The citizens decided to name the kingdoms after the heroes and founders themselves, and the Raggeth and Augustus kingdoms were born. This world is neither ruled by how big of an army you possess or how strong of a human you are, rather this world's strength depends on a mystical source simply titled gems. These gems allow people to use magic. These gems show up In the human eye when they're used. These gems can grant the wielder the power of any attribute varying from the power to control ice to the power to control the flow of time. Each gem can only contain one attribute, though there are cases where people were born with two gems....those are more than rare. These gems can be classified into two categories, elemental and deviants. As the name implies, the elemental class of gems allow the wielder the power to control elements like water, ice, fire etc. Also since there's the number of elements is limited, elemental gem wielder are very prized people. Then we have the deviants, the deviant class has the gems containing attributes of anything that isn't an element, this can vary from having the power to control chains to the power to call upon thunder itself. There is no end to the deviants, which is also why they are less prized than the elemental ones. But even among all these varieties of gems, there are five gems, which are considered the strongest. These five gems have a mind of their own, they will choose only the people which it deems worthy.
If you're wondering, the gem doesn't let you borrow its power for free. The gems use an article substance called "magicule" Which can be found inside the human body to fuel its abilities. As cool as it sounds, using gems and controlling the magicules is one of the hardest things to master.
Now though where we stand is a kingdom, its size can easily rival any empire to ever exist, which is also why the ruler of this kingdom is called the Emperor. The crown of the Emperor can be either passed down or challenged since this position is only given to the strongest of the kingdom. Right below the emperor, we have the seven guardians of this kingdom. The guardians are the strongest within the kingdom and its last line of defence. The strongest of the guardians simply titles the lead guardian possesses a special right to challenge the emperor for the throne, though most guardians tend not to do so.
In any case, I'm Kisei Akito born blood and soul to the kingdom of Raggeth. Having been born with one of the five legendary gems, my life was a life of pleasure, that is until suddenly a war broke out, the Augustus Kingdom out of nowhere started to attack the kingdom of Raggeth. The war caused me to lose all my memories except one.
One day I'll surpass all the emperors because that last memory contained the promise to keep an oath. An Oath to become stronger than every emperor before me, that's the oath I made........To that man.
