The night was clear and quite. Moon gloriously watching the entire town of Greensville as the stars continued to twinkle like a sprinkled glitters from the sky. Their lights can be seen over the rows of roofs of the houses below. But as the times goes by, a loud cry of a baby echoed from the entire village. Then, there is a girl, hurriedly walking over her heels, while carrying a white blanket. And on this blanket is a child that can't merely see the world.
"Hush!. Stop crying!." The woman said.
But the poor baby doesn't listen. Afraid that some one may see her, She stormed towards a big tree. And do the most awful thing that a mother can do. She put the child on the cold surface of the earth. And without any hesitation, she turned her back on the poor angel and walk away.
Despite of the cries of the child, the woman truly has a stone heart. She didn't even think about turning back. She is really determined on her plan. The kind of plan that can cause every children's nightmare. To be abandoned and alone.
As the wind blows, every seconds are at risks. The temperature outside doesn't go well. Coldness is already embracing the whole small body of the poor baby. But, he doesn't seems like affected. The child is a fighter in his very own way. He's not stopping from crying as if its his way of asking help. On his innocent mind, he already know what's situation he has. Or maybe, GOD is watching and guiding him.
Time is gold. And this is a very perfect scene for that golden quote. Minutes passed by and the prayer of the little angel granted. A man who is currently walking down the sidewalk heard his cry. And luckily, he has a good heart. Without any hesitation, he followed where's the cry coming from. The man found the baby behind the big oak tree. He took the little one on bended knees and embraced it with care.
"Hush, little boy. I'm here." The man said. Full of sincerity.
The baby doesn't need to told twice. He obediently stopped from crying.
"I'm sorry, my son. Am I late?." The man mumbled with a tears falling down to his cheeks.
His pain and regrets gone away together with the gentle cold breeze as he stared on the baby lovingly. The moon shine even brighter as if it's smiling for them. Just like a scene from a play in the theatre, the rays from the moon as a spotlight, the genuine care of the man is obviously shown.
"Don't worry little one, I'm going to protect and treasure you for the rest of my life."
Like a beautiful chimes, the baby giggled. It's like a sweet lullaby that can warm someone's heart. The music that the woman never heard. The very special moment that every mother's dying to witness. But, tonight, she failed.
