In the deep night, a brutally attacked was taking place.
Louve Hart, the Alpha of Green Moss Pack, found himself surrounded by a group of merciless werewolves.
The Alpha fought valiantly, determined to protect his pack and his daughter, Sephora, at any cost. One of the attackers came forward, a strong and vicious werewolf who had Louve in a chokehold. He growled menacingly, his eyes fixed on the Alpha, and said,
"Tell me, where is your daughter, Sephora."
Louve refused to look in the direction where he knew his daughter was hiding. Instead, he stared defiantly at this vicious werewolf, his eyes ablaze with fury.
"Farkas Madden, the Alpha of Moon Howlers Pack! You will never find my daughter," he spat out, struggling to break free from the Farkas's grip. "I will not sacrifice her for the sake of my own life. You may kill me now, but I will not betray my own flesh and blood."
Farkas tightened his hold, and his grip unyielding. Louve could feel the life slowly draining out of him as he continued to resist Farkas's demands. He knew that he was not going to survive this, but he refused to give up without a fight.
Farkas was enraged by Louve's defiance and snapped the Alpha's neck with one swift motion. As Louve's lifeless body crumpled to the ground, he turned to his beta and growled,
"Find Sephora, and kill anyone who gets in your way."
The tears flowed freely down her cheeks, as Sephora peered through the cracks of the safe house, watching the bloodthirsty werewolf brutally murder her father.
It was hard for her to believe that such a senseless act of violence had been perpetrated against her pack. They had always lived in harmony with humans and other packs, never once causing trouble.
So why would Farkas, a notorious Alpha, attack them in such a savage way? And killed her father, the honorable and respected Alpha? Her hatred of Frakas was at its peak and she wanted to rush out and fight him to the death.
But as she moved to stand up, she felt Beta Ben's strong hand grip her shoulder, holding her back, and whispered,
"Sephora, you can't just go charging out there. Farkas and his pack are too strong, and " His words were very urgent, "we have to get out of here quickly. Farkas is looking for you everywhere. It's not safe anymore."
Sephora knew that Ben was right, but the rage and grief inside her wouldn't let her just stand by and do nothing. "But uncle Ben, my father is dead. How can I just run away and do nothing?"
Ben's expression softened as he looked at her with compassion. "I know it's hard, Sephora, but revenge won't bring your father back. I can't let Farkas find you, otherwise, your father's sacrifices were in vain."
Sephora took a deep breath and nodded, and prepared to leave the safe house, she cast one last glance at her father's lifeless body.
"Father, I swear I would avenge you," Sephora promised inside of her heart.
The loyal Beta Ben quietly escorted Sephora out of the safe house, covering their smell, and walked quietly into the night, but unfortunately, they were spotted.
"There they are, run after them!" Sephora heard several werewolves growling loudly, transferring into wolves, and coming at them.
Although Sephora could feel the existence of her wolf, she could not transform into a wolf yet. As the sound of snarling and growling filled their ears as the chaser neared. Ben knew that Sephora won't be able to escape if she was caught, so he was ready to sacrifice himself.
"Run, Sephora, run, keep running, don't stop, don't look back, you must survive." Then Ben transferred into his wolf and turned to fight with these chasers. He shouted back between blows. "I'll hold them off as long as I can!"
Sephora felt her heart beating wildly in her chest as she ran for her life, she wanted to turn around, to help him, but she knew it would be a hopeless battle.
As she fled through the night, she could still hear the sounds of the battle behind her, the harsh cries of anger and pain that echoed through the trees.
Sephora looked back and saw Ben's form fading into the darkness, being swallowed up by the writhing mass of fur and teeth. Beta Ben had given his life to keep her safe, like her father.
Her eyes filled with tears, but she knew she had to keep running if she wanted to survive.
Sephora was fleeing desperately from her enemies, as she ran, her heart pounding in her chest, she suddenly found herself at the edge of a cliff. She skidded to a halt, her eyes wild and her breath coming in panicked gasps.
She heard these chasers draw closer and closer, she could imagine the sick and twisted delight gleaming in their eyes, and there wasn't much time left for her to think.
"I prefer to die than be caught by these monsters." This was the only thought in her mind.
She looked down at the chasm below, her heart pounding with terror. She knew that this was her one and only chance to escape their clutches. In a quiet and pleading voice, Sephora closed her eyes and whispered,
"Goddess, Father, mother, uncle Ben, please protect me and let me live through this."
And then, with a deep breath, she launched herself off the cliff, plunging into the void below. Then, she felt the chill of the wind and the roar of the oncoming water.
With a final gasp, Sephora hit the water with a bone-jarring impact, the coldness enveloping her body from head to toe. She struggled to stay afloat, but she failed.
She was hit by the rock under the water and then fainted soon, swallowed by the river.
