In my nineteen years of existence, I couldn't agree more when people said, there's a lot of things happened that change the world, and the other side, it improves for a better way.
Well, those doings were risky decision that almost made the people kill each other, good thing it didn't, it was intimidating and that's a fact.
I still vividly remember what happened decades ago when slowly the world turned upside down because of the aggressively command by the recently president of the Philippines. He planned to update, moreover to change the perspective of everyone including the rules of our country.
"A plant won't grow when you don't water them." He once said. Which he meant if he wouldn't declare some improvement in our country, Philippines will stay as one of the poor country in today's and yet he successfully succeed his plans.
Philippines now is one of the richest country in the entire world. Nonetheless, there's a huge changes happened like what I've mentioned earlier. There's no longer called Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Nowadays, the entire Philippines was still form into three boundaries. Nonetheless, these are the... First one, is Alcheius, known as the Capital City which formerly Luzon, wherein the royalties lives. And when we say royalties, we're already talking about the person with a high profile. The Politicians, Riches and so on. Second is the Anchery which we called Visayas before and ofcourse the third one is Archion City.
As the city, indeed. Technologies too were improved. It became more advanced so as we humans.
"Students, please proceed to the open area now!" A huge goldish speaker attached from the wall along the hallway of the school tuned, bringing me back from my senses.
Minute later on, someone's arm clang into mine as small giggle heard. And guess who? No other than my bestfriend, Kyra Leonhart. She has this small round face, tiny almond eyes, pointed nose and full lips. She's like a barbie with those singkit eyes. Her golden brown short hair cutted above shoulder level.
"You're coming?" My eyes where on the open are, wherein our flag ceremony occurred. Since it still early in the morning, the sun heat aren't burning yet. And lots of my schoolmates along with their friends heading the area, well maybe except for me?
"Not in the mood to listen shits." She flustered a plastic smile, making me roll my eyes. Yeah, what would I except from her? She's the typical girl who would choose staying inside a science laboratory than standing on the open area and joining the small convocational in 15 minutes.
She's a Leonhart, ofcourse. A daughter of the famous scientist entire universe. Her family has the biggest contribution in the Philippines. But you know what shocking here? Instead of having a princess life along the Alchelius border, she choosed to stay for good at the Southern part of Anchery for her study.
"Staying inside the Alchelius border sucks." She once argued. I couldn't agree more, living behind that boundary really means a huge responsibilities.
"Gotta go' see you later." She winked before turning her back, waving her hand as goodbye. I chuckled and shookt my head before continue to my designated line.
I look up at the floating stage when the eMcee talked. Remember when I said technologies are really advance this era? Well, it's really happening. There's a lot of drones roaming around us acting as the cctv, in addition it's taking videos for documentation for the future needs if it is.
My attention caught when there was two strangers talking behind me. I know eardropping sometimes is not good but I couldn't help to listen to their conversation since it's really intimidating and kind of my curiosity was like... Hey, you should listen to them.
"I know, my brother said we should distance ourselves from the stage when they're going to represent the purple experimental liquid." The girl with a wavy black hair whispered but still heard it.
"Why?"
"Said it was dangero---" She wasn't able to finished her word when a loud explosion happened on the stage. When I lift my head, there's already purple smoke and even the speaker fell which caused a small fire, making our dearest eMcee collapse on the floor.
"Oh my God!"
The crowd started panicking as I rushingly run to the victim who lost conciousness. Our school nurse immediately run to the clinic to bring the first aid kit since they can't move the victim in able to avoid causing more accident. The fire immediately distinguish with the help of someone. As I am the curiously cat, I looked at the victim with my eyes opened wide. He was laying down on the cold floor, eyes were shut, and blood on his forehead. Seems like it's the area where the speaker landed.
"Is he okay?" I asked the nurse when noticed a terrified look on her face as if something bad happened from the guy.
"The ambulance isn't coming yet?" She shouted, making our teacher keep dialing their phone. "I can't feel his pulse." She whispered, I don't know if she was talking to herself or me? Since I am the one who's on her side.
"H-He's dead?" I gasped. I immediately opened my bag to get something, but I am not sure if it'll help since the nurse said, the guy lost his pulse already. "He's moving!" I couldn't help to shout when the guy opened his eyes but caught me guard off when his hazel brown eyes turned crimson red making me moved backwards and fall on the floor.
"Oh my!" I panicked. Before I could warn the nurse besides me, She already laying on the floor while the guy was biting her neck? What the freak?! That's the signal for the others to run in fear. Yet, I am still there. Trying to absurd the idea what my eyes seeing right now.
"S-shit!" I cursed my underneath. When I noticed how pale became the guy earlier, a crimson red eyes and sharpened teeth.
D-dont fucking tell me that---
The nurse opened her eyes as if nothing happened then shift her head, looking at me with the same crimson eyes. Fucking monster! Before I could run for my life, I've already felt the pang pain in my right shoulder where slowly the iron like teeth of that nurse dugged dipper making me groaned in pain. The visible veins in my arm slowly turned into black one, as if being affected by an unknown viruses.
The next time I remember before I turned as one of them, are those students around me running as fast they can just to save their life, avoiding being scratched or bitten.
