He is a kind, humble, loving and a responsible man. He is a perfect and an ideal epitome of a son, a father, and a husband. But he has a well crafted toned body, brown enticing eyes, well pointed nose, kissable sweet lips, a perfectly formed jaw, long legs, and bulky muscles. He is living in a small town of Tierra Fee, a small island in Cebu, and catches fishes as his living and source of income. He’s living with his mother, Marienita Zee Monterass, who’s a little bit rigorous and a sadistic monster at the same time. Although her mama is a little bit strict sometimes, she didn’t failed to love her child unconditionally. Her mother is the reason why Isaak always look at the brighter and positive side of life. Amidst all the crisis, ups and downs, problems, and struggles, Isaak Hanes still remain as a joyful and jolly man as he is. He didn’t even quiver nor weaver and didn’t take the chance to change a bit. He's like a walking sunshine that is able to spread joy and bring warmth unto others through his smiles.
His mother ever told him that life is perfect and equally fair, as long as you don’t set your foot unto others and didn’t hurt anyone. And indeed, true to his mothers’ words, he got to understand the word perfect, when everything is still thorough, and fall into its proper places. But when everything vanished and seems like everything is temporary, like the world took away everything it has given to him. That’s when Isaak loses his tiny little hope, and forgot everything his mother constantly told him, and never ever believe that his life will be perfect again. The time when Isaak lost his father because of eating a poisonous fish, and when his brother and sisters abandoned him, leaving him behind with his mom, who seems have an angered to the world and his mama will dumped that anger to him, and will going to hurt him physically, mentally and spiritually. It all started when his father died, he always received a cold treatment from his mama. But when he earned money, and gave it to her, that’s when her mama’s mode will change, the money seems like a money in her mother’s eyes, making her mode eventually changed. But it’s only temporary, because his mama was angry again the next day. He still love her though, and yet he still able to found a reason to smile and always look at the positive side. And when he met the love of his life, which happened to be a believer of Jesus Christ, it brought Isaak more reasons to smile and live life to it’s fullest, but that feeling linger just for a moment. Because when his mother also died, and many years passed, his wife got ill also, it was the greatest downfall of Isaak. Lack of money, he needed to borrow from his so called mistress, that happened to be his one night stand, but, without him knowing, that everything was just a set-up. He sacrifices himself as a person, just to be able to lend some money, in exchange of making him as a male fixture, to that deceitful woman. All the disgusted faces, angered and hate that came from his five children, will always be his darkest nightmare, his once best buddies became now his foes, and once his own joyful kids, can now hate him as long as they can.
Will Isaak Hanes, still believe that a perfect life truly exist, like what his mother always told him? Or will he make his own version of his own perfect life, and have him as the writer and the overseer in every scenarios of it? Will he easily give up? Is he capable enough of leaving his own family behind, and live with his mistress then have a happily ever after? Or will he do the best options' left, which is to surrender everything to Jesus Christ and let Him handle his life and be the corrector of it?
His one friend once told him, “Life isn’t perfect, because if it is perfect, then there will be no sorrow of tears, no hunger, no sadness, no pain, no heartbreaks, no betrayals, and no struggles. But will we be able to learn in the end? I don’t think so. Because of failure, we have the reasons to stand up again, because of loses, we have the reasons to fight again, because of hunger, we have the reasons to strive harder this time, because of mistakes, we have the reasons to correct it again, and because of faith, we will always have the reasons to believe. Life isn’t perfect, yes. But with God, everything will be smooth and undeniably enjoyable yet arduous sometimes. Well, He didn’t promise in the first place, that if we have Him in our life, everything will be perfect, no. But He surely promised that, in everything we go through and do, He will be by our side, guiding us, helping us, correcting us, loving us, forgive us and most especially, saves us always. Life is a beautiful mixture of a perfect and imperfect battles, because truly, life is perfectly imperfect.”
