Emily's POV
"You know what, Emily? Stay away from table 6, they are the worst, most disrespectful guests I have ever met here!" Nya was complaining to me about the guest she just served, and put down the tray with champagne, and acted like she was about to throw up.
"Why do these men always act so arrogant like all the women want to get on their beds when I'm just trying to pour him a drink. Who do they think they are? King of the world?"
"I know. But in another hand, at least they gave you enough tips, didn't they?" I smiled and comforted Nya. We have worked together in this high-end hotel for a while, and every day there are many rich and famous people here.
The work in here is hard, but we get high salary in return, which is why I'm here.
Nya took a look at the magnificent hall, where people are talking and drinking while wearing fine clothes, she pursed her lips.
"What's so great about that, maybe one day I can be one of them."
"Okay, stop complaining, I will handle table 6 for you so that you can rest for a while."
"Ehhh, You're so sweet, I don't even want to be here without you." She gave me a big hug.
I broke free from her arms and squeezed out a smile, and walked towards the group of people at table 6, I ignored the gazes I got from several males present and the jealous expressions of other women.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the wine you ordered." As I poured the wine into the glass of one of the men, his eyes kept flicking to my face and chest, and he showed a wretched smile.
"This wine smells good and very...tasty."
I rolled my eyes inside, and replied him with some useless words, as I glanced at the outside of the hall inadvertently, I saw a small figure beside the pool, it looked like a little girl, she was squatting down and desperately trying to reach something in the pool. but her hands were too short, so she kept leaning forward, then slipped and fell into the pool.
I immediately put down the wine bottle in my hand and ran out of the hall, didn’t paying attention to the shouts behind me.
The pool is for decoration, but it has a depth of 5 meters, the little girl will definitely drown. I rushed to the pool and jumped into the water. Because of the instinctive struggle, the little girl had already floated to the center of the pool, and was crying for help weakly.
Although it is still summer, the pool water temperature at night is still cold. The icy temperature of the pool seeped into my skin through my shirt, making me shiver.
I could hear her struggling voice slowly getting smaller. Even I couldn't stand the temperature in the pool at night as an adult, not to mention that she is just a child! So I gritted my teeth and swam towards the little girl at a faster speed, and finally grabbed her arm when she lost her strength and was about to be swallowed by the water.
Although it didn't take much effort to swim ashore with a drowned child, it took all my strength.
After landing, the little girl had already fallen into a coma due to choking on the water. Nya came from a distance and saw us panicked.
"God, what are we going to do."
"Nya, go to the doctor!"
"Okay, I'll go right away." Nya screamed and ran to find someone. But I didn't dare to stop, I immediately started CPR for the girl. She didn't have time to wait for the doctor to come. If I didn't do first aid for this little girl, she would definitely die here.
I kept pressing her chest, but her face didn't change at all, and my heart began to sink.
"Come on, girl"
Time passed by, and Nya still didn't come back with the doctor. My body was frozen stiff, and just when I was about to be give up, the girl finally coughed,she spat out all the water she drank, and then slowly opened her eyes. These are a pair of very beautiful eyes, and this girl looked very cute and delicate.
"Mommy?" She looked at me in confusion, mistaking me for her mother, and my heart softened again. What a sweet little girl.
"Kate!" The sound of an anxious low male voice came closer with the sound of footsteps.
A tall figure took the little girl into his arms one step faster than me.
The girl patted the man's arm as if to comfort him, then looked at me.
"Dad, I'm fine."
I stood up and wanted to say hello to Kate's father, but I froze in place the moment I looked up.
I think I've met him, maybe on the internet, but I can't remember. I just know it's the most handsome face I've ever seen. Not to mention that he was much taller than me, with his broad shoulders and long legs, even in a suit, I could tell he had a better figure than any athlete I'd seen on TV. I felt myself holding my breath.
He is hot as hell.
When I realized I wanted to say hello to the man in front of me, but I saw the manager standing behind him shook his head to me. It was our manager and when he shows up, either he's dealing with very, very important guests or we're in big trouble. He told me not to speak, so I shut my mouth and stood aside quietly.
The man quickly checked the girl's body, and then asked the doctor who followed him to do a simple examination on the girl. After confirming that the girl was fine, his expression relaxed, but his face was still gloomy.
The girl probably sensed that her father was angry, so she kept slient. The group of people behind the manager lowered their heads and dared not make a sound.
"Send her back."
"But Dad, I..." The girl wanted to explain something, but the doctor picked her up quickly, and I put the toy that washed ashore in her hands, she gave me a grateful look, and I winked at her , and then return to my position.
Seeing the girl's gaze, this man finally noticed me, I felt his gaze pause, and then drifted down.
The wind at night made me feel a little cold, and my wet shirt was clinging tightly to my body. My hair was dripping, and the ground I was standing on was wet.
His gaze stayed on me for too long and they were too hot, I felt my cheeks were heating up. So I want to get out of here as soon as possible.
"Sir, I'm glad your daughter is okay, so I think I need to get back to work."
I want to walk pass the men and get out of here. But when I walked up to him, this man suddenly reached out and grabbed my arm. His strength was so strong that I couldn't break free at all. I felt I was trapped by him, and then he pulled me closer like I am a prey that couldn't escape.
"Miss, thank you very much for saving my Kate."
He glanced at the assistant behind him, who immediately took out a bank card and handed it to him.
"There is a sum of money in it, which is your reward for saving Kate." He handed the card to me, his arm muscles showing beautiful lines.
"may I know your name?"
He was still looking at me,from top to bottom, making me feel like I was standing naked in front of him.
"There is no need, sir, I just did what I should do, and I don't need any reward."
"If you don't want money, then I can invite you to have a meal to express my gratitude. We can also get to know each other better."
I'm not stupid, of course I understand what he means. This made me feel offended, and my impression of the man in front of me became bad.
I struggled to break free from the man's hand, stared at his blue eyes and said coldly, "No need sir, I still have work to do, excuse me."
I turned around and ran towards the changing room of the staff without waiting for his reply after I finished speaking.
Andre's POV
When I saw her for the first time, I knew that I must have this woman, she can only be mine.
She has a very sexy face, and through her drenched blouse I can see her flawless tanned skin and hourglass figure.
When she was about to leave me, I grabbed her arm subconsciously. I wanted to express my gratitude to her for saving my Kate, and I wanted to invite her for dinner. But she was too vigilant, and she took the opportunity to escape from my side without even telling me her name.
I didn't rush to chase, but waved at the manager. Even if she doesn't tell me her name, I still have many ways to learn her name.

After introducing Fiona's position to me, the HR director told me that I should obey Fiona's command in all work matters in the future.
"Hello, Fiona. I'm Emily Jones. Just call me Emily."

She took me to the prepared work station and ordered the staff beside me to teach me the company's rules and procedures.

The employee sitting next to me is called Lilly, who came half a year earlier than me. She handed me a copy of the VA employee handbook. Chatting with me while continuing to revise her plan.
"You look so beautiful. May I know your name?"
"Of course. My name is Emily Jones, you can call me Emily."
Lilly is a very cheerful and enthusiastic girl. When I have doubts about some rules, she will answer me very patiently.
"Emily. Why do I feel like I've heard your name somewhere?"
Lilly said my name again after finishing her work, whispering to herself.

I was terrified of being recognized by Lilly. How am I supposed to work in this new company if she tells other colleagues who I am?
Fortunately, Lilly didn't remember who I was in the end. I breathed a sigh of relief and picked up the project file sent by Ms. Cady on my desk to familiarize myself with the scope of my work.
Wait, that's...Andre? !
I saw a familiar figure walking towards me. He's Andre who just said goodbye to me this morning and went to work!
Why is he here? !
