"Eleonore! Eleonore!" King Peter shouted.

The Queen immediately opened the door of their bedroom.

"Peter, my King, why are you shouting? Our daughter is sleeping."

"Eleonore, the Palace is under attack. We are under war with rogues right now. You and our daughter need to hide."

I started to panic. We've been receiving a lot of threats this past few days. My husband tried to find the culprit but failed to do so. We think that someone from the palace are working for them. After the last war, we are the only royal blood wolf remaining to continue the bloodline.

I immediately wrap my daughter with her blanket and gather some of her supplies. The palace has secret chambers that we can use in time like this.

"Eleonore, please be safe. I will see you at our secret place when this is over. For the meantime, please be careful." Peter hugged me and kiss our daughter's forehead. "Be strong my princess. Daddy will take care of everything." He said before he opened the chamber at the back of our closet wall.

I grab the light and started to walk quietly through the walls. I don't want anyone to find where we are.

As we near the exit, my daughter started to wake-up and cry. I start to panic. Someone might her her and discover us.

I run as fast as I can and try to sooth her with milk.

We finally made it outside but to my surprise, there's rogues waiting for us.

'Someone from the the High ranking wolf in the palace betrayed us. Only the Left and Right hand of the King, knows about this secret tunnel.' I said to myself.

"Finally! we've been waiting here for hours, your majesty." A man behind the tree said.

I can't see his face but I recognize his voice.

"Markus?" I said.

"I'm glad to hear that you recognized me easily because of my voice. I'm flattered my Queen." He slowly move close to me.

"The King trusted you the most. How can you do this?" I asked.

Markus is Peter's right hand. He holds manage the army and safety of the Palace. He's our childhood friend.

"The King trusted me the most? Then why did he favor Alexander all the time. All he gives me was order. I need to travel a lot and protect the our land while Alexander stays in his side doing internal and political works. I suffer in the battle while he sits in palace all day, eating delicious food." He shouted.

I never saw him this way before. He is funny and free spirit person.

"Peter trusted you. He let you go because he knows that you don't want to sit all day in the palace. You always said that you will fight for the Kingdom but why are you become like this?"

"Markus, let's stop this drama. We need to go back to the fight. Kill the Queen and the child before they tried to escape." A man from behind told Markus. He smells rogue.

This guy might be his companion.

They are all five werewolf here. I'f I shift into my wolf and grab my daughter by my mouth. We have chance to escape. I am the fastest wolf in the Kingdom.

"Stop telling me what to do William. I will do that." Markus said.

But before he can make I move, I shifted into my silver wolf and start running. I heart the William guys cursed before they all shift in their wolf form.

Luckily, I wrap my daughter with thick blanket. My canines will not penetrate to her skin. She started to cry the moment she fills our fast movement. I know she feels discomfort due to our pace.

'Patient my dear, we just need to lose them, then we can cross the river to lose our scent.' I said to her.

Though she might not hear me but I want to say it to reassure myself that we can make it alive.

I'm too occupied with my daughter when I feel a pain in my side. Markus wolf hit me on the side but I push him away.

I accelerated my run even more. But before I could escape, a rogue stopped in front of me. I have a strong feeling that this is the William he talked to earlier.

I didn’t expect him to be faster than me.

He immediately attacked me and forcibly snatched my daughter from my mouths. I immediately dodged and kicked it in the face but it dodged and was bitten me on my left arm.

I released my daughter because of the impact of his attack and shifted to my human form to check her.

"Markus please. Just kill me, not my daughter. She has no knowledge of this world yet." I beg you.

I noticed it looked at my daughter and was obviously reluctant to hurt it.

"Markus, don't tell me you feel sorry for that child. Remember, that child will inherit the throne if you don't kill it now." William said.

"Shut up you two. You've been blabbering on like crazy." Said Markus.

"Markus, please. Just let go of my daughter. Just kill me. Please."

"Nothing will happen if we listen to you." William came up to me and grabbed me by the neck. He was about to kill me but Markus stopped him.

"Wai---!"

Markus would have stopped it but he couldn't. Slowly I felt my heartbeat gradually slow down. All I could hear was my daughter's cries as life slowly took me away."

I looked at her one more time and prayed to the Moon Goddess to keep my innocent child safe.

I heard Markus shouted but I don't have much time to understand what he's saying.

'Amira, my daughter. Mother will miss you.' I said before I finally let go.
