"I know maa, I won't mess this up like last time. Trust me I know better then go against you. It's not my fault when they ask me " to be honest". What do you actually expect from me. The guys run away like little rats after the answers I gave them." I sigh in exhaustion I felt just arguing with my mom.

I hear a beep tone, she hang up. Typical.

I'm still waiting for this guy who has been already late 45 min. The date was arranged by our parents.

Someone taps on my shoulder lightly and ask "Excuse me, are you Miss Kavya?"

I hear a deep voice which sends chills down my spine.

I heave a breath and shout at that person "what the..... " he looks like a lost kid who's candy been stolen and I blink couple of times and wonder, is this the same dude who said my name.

I kept on staring him and he waves his hand infornt of me. And smirks caught me gawking at him.

" you Shiva ? " he nods like a kid.

"Have a seat. Sorry for my outburst "I gesture him to have a seat and apologize and he just smiles. He has dimples too,cool.

I kept staring at him

like a creep

"Looks like you ordered already " I cuss him for his deep voice in my mind which always sending me chills .

"Well, you were late "I replied with a straight face. He was gonna reply, I just waved it off "yeah yeah busy with work ! Client Won't Leave until it's done!! blah blah ."

He laughs and I want to punch him. Thinking it was a joke

"Fine let's not waste each other time, As I can see you are a busy man".

But He nods his head in negative, anyways I continue " you want to marry me or not " he blinks twice thinking did he heard correctly or not .

I scoff and explain him " Look. I'll just be honest with you I'm just looking for a rich guy as well as who has muscles. no offense but I think you won't fit in that category " he doesn't look offend at all.

Then I give him a sweet smile and ask "Let's be friends? "

He looks puzzled then I again elaborate it for him "well I thought I was set up to a rich guy so I thought I'll persue him to marry me "

Then I motion him to come closer "I'm a gold digger but what can I expect from a rich guy ,anyways. He won't be the loyal one or the ideal type they just exist in stories. "

He frowns "don't worry I always wanted a friend like you . Who is weak and kind. only one problem I found in you and this is your voice it doesn't resonate with you at all "

He suddenly comes closer to my surprise, but I don't freak out this time like I did when I first met him "What say for now??..... let's be friends ? Than I guess eventually you will get used to my voice also who knows might marry me as well" I look at him weirdly.

"Then what about marriage that our parents are trying to set us up with" he asks trying to change the topic.

"Oh right! You can tell them I'm ugly "he started chocking on the water he was drinking .

I get worried when he suddenly started chocking "Are you alright ?"I frown at him and pass him tissues that was on the table.

He takes and dabs it on himself and asks "okay but why me. And why can't you can't just tell your parents what you said to me ? "

"it's because my mom is already suspicious on me, that I'm the one chasing away the guys instead of charming them,so this time you reject me and I'll agree to this marriage "

He smirks evilly after hearing me and says "okay "

I get excited and tell him "Since we are friends I'll pay for it" and then walk to the counter.

"Are you sure about being a gold digger l, since you are paying for it I'm curious about it "he whispers in my ear. I jump a little startled, which he didn't notice,i cuss him for his damn voice.

"Now we are already friends ,let's go I'll drop you " I pull him outside along with me.

"why I feel I'm the girl who has been damsel in distress and you being my prince charming? " he asks

I hook my arm around him and tell him in a sing song voice "yep that's right,since I guess you don't have car" before he could reply I open the passenger door and push him inside my car and drop him off near the bus stop since he insisted and I drive back to my home.

When I reached home I thought I'll be the one to surprise my mom, but didn't expect I was the one going to be surprised.
