Chapter 1[Washington DC] Jeremy Pov
"It's past 6minutes already. " I said checking my wrist watch. We're out of an airport to meet with my so called father.
"He should be here, excuse me let me call him. " She said and walk to the last edge.
I hate what Nanny Best has made me do when in a real sense I'm suppose to be lying on my king size bed and be listening to some crazy music or better still be watching movies or film show bit she ruined it when she told me that Mr. Malcolm is arriving Washington today and that I should get ready because I'm coming with her to take him home and that was last night.
Why should I give a damm about someone who acts like a dickhead. I so much wish he can just stay in that boring Africa and never return here because he's just going to frustrate me with those boring decisions of his.
"He's coming out. " Nanny Best said walking to me.
She looked excited and I wonder if she's not one of his whores but another thing is, Nanny Best is way too older than him and she has been like a grandmother to me ever since Mom died. She is the one I grew up with while my wonderful father in quote travels from one country to another and spend most of his time with his whores.
"Oh, there he is. "She walk closer to him and embrace him while I just keep staring at him. He looks different from the last time I saw him, maybe a little darker, he's wearing a brown coat which I see him pulling off.
" I'm so happy you're finally here. "Nanny Best said dragging his box of clothes behind her.
" Me too. "He replied but I kept my cool.
" J., won't you say hi to your Dad? "Nanny Best said glaring at me.
" What for? "I turn my face to him.
"... It's not like I'm excited to meet him and besides his presence is only going to make things worst. "
Well that's true because I'll just keep on remembering how my mom died. It's all his fault.
"It's okay Nanny. " He said with a smile then stretch his coat to me.
"At least you can help me with the coat. " He said and I laugh a little because my own dad is acting funny.
"And because...? You know you're asking for too much. I'm outta here. " I angrily walk to my car and sped off to only God knows where but definitely not that house. I don't even have any friends to visit because I'm a one man army.
Friends are just bad luck.

Mirrah's Pov
[New York City]
.....
I check the wall clock for the 20th time and it's quarter past 12pm. Are these couples coming home or what?
They've been to this therapist since 8am and they're not back yet.
I wonder what is taking them so long and my dad is just a shameless fool and I hate him for cheating on mom. Imagine he has been having an affair with his mistress for the past 17years and we didn't even know about it? How can he do that to Mom after all the sacrifices she has made for him.
My name is Mirrah Danforth Blues but I go with Mirrah Blues in school, Danforth is just my mom's last name. I have a sandy colored curly hair that falls down my shoulder and I'm of average height and we are comfortable even though we're not rich as the rich want it. I'm supposed to be my dad's only child/daughter until dad's infidelity got in the way and he and his mistress have a child together, a girl of same age who goes by the name Florence. I've not seen her tho, It's just recently Mom found out about Dad's extra marital affairs and she confront him about it and to my greatest shock he didn't even deny the fact that he has a woman and a child outside marriage. Mom stopped talking to him but one night she made a proposal to go see a marriage therapist maybe to save their marriage but one thing I'm very sure of is that, there is no marriage to save as long as this family is concerned.
"Mirrah dear, we're home! "
I jump down from my bed as I hear Mom called and I ran downstairs to welcome her.
"I was worried. " I said ignoring Dad.
"Won't you at least greet your Dad. " She said and I just glance at home and back at Mom.
"I don't want to. " I said and sit on the same couch he's sitting.
"You shouldn't be rude Mirrah, your dad made a mistake. " She said and sit on the same couch putting me in the middle but did she just say he made a mistake? For 17years, is that considered as a mistake? I don't even want to talk about it.
"So, what happened with the therapist? " I ask her.
"Well, we've found the solution to our problem. " She said smiling. I didn't even turn to look at my dad's face.
"Which is? " I ask her.
"The therapist suggests that we relocate, move to another country if we still want to save our marriage. " She said just smiling. I guess she really loves my Dad so much for her to take things likely with him.
"What? Hold on, which country are we moving to? " I ask her, I just don't want to talk to Dad. I'm very angry at him and if Mom has forgiven him already, well I haven't.
"Your dad have to decide that. " She said and I just felt the urge of punching her. Why is she allowing him to have a choice?
What if he decides to relocate to where his other whores are? Why is Mom too nice? Now I believe too much niceness can be a disease. She shouldn't have given him a choice.
