More than a weakling.

*Lexi*
Being the only human in a werewolf city had to be the scariest thing ever but my family had nowhere else to go to after the war that broke out between the humans and werewolves, apparently some over barring scientist who thought they can just have an experiment on every creature they see.
After capturing a werewolf they decided to carry out their so-called experiment which put us all in trouble luckily for my family, my father happened to be an old friend of a werewolf beta which life he saved and the only reason the Alpha let us stay here on his land.
Believe me, it was never easy, I have to ignore the horrible scary growl every time I walk on the streets, they don't trust us. Father knew that but since we have nowhere else to go we just have to earn their almost impossible trust.
"Lex, have you thought about what I told you last night?" My mom asked adjusting the pair of glasses she had on.
I pretended to be engrossed in the novel I was reading just to avoid her questions, she raised the issues about me attending the werewolf academy ever since a letter arrived which stated that since I was almost becoming part of the pack I should be enrolled into the werewolf academy, a place I would be trained and groom to be strong, shits and all. It's like they wanted to turn me into a werewolf or something.
Plus I suspected it also a way to earn our loyalty or whatever they are after, I couldn't even bare to walk on the streets alone then how would I cope in a school full of wolves? Who are basically animals?
"Lex!" Mom called impatiently staring at me sternly.
I signed finally putting the book away. "I don't want to go" I answered chewing on my bottom lip, it just doesn't seem right, I wished I could talk with the Alpha myself. *Okay that was just wishing* Cause I have never seen the scary creature people seems to speak so highly of–including my Dad.
"The orders came from the Alpha Lexi so I'm afraid you have no say on the matter" That came from my Dad who just walked in dressed for work.
"What?" My eyes widen, being an American teenager this had to be the dreadful thing ever. "Everyone has the right to do whatever they want! I'm eighteen Dad meaning I'm of the right age to decide what is good or bad for me and I know schooling here is dangerous and bad for me!" I protested.
Dad chuckled like I had said something funny. "Things are pretty different here Lexi. The Alpha makes the rule and no one dare do otherwise" His expression turned serious.
Without even seeing the Alpha I'm already terrified of him. Why are they oppressing people with so many rules?.
"And–" Mom continued with a cheerful smile on her face. "The letter also stated that they guarantee your safety so you don't need to be worry"
"How can you trust their words? Those people are animals" I rolled my eyes which made both of my parents glare at me.
"That the thing about them Lexi, they're very loyal and tolerate no betrayal, they don't go back on their words" Dad explained and I knew I already lost the so-called battle.
"Fine, you guys won" I agreed in a voice that seems forced.
"Good, since the Alpha permitted you you won't have any problem getting enrolled into the school. I will speak to the principal on my way back from work, Alice?" He called paying attention to my Mom.
Knowing I was out of the conversation I put on my glasses and once more I pretended to be engrossed in my book while listening to their conversation.
"Where's the letter? I think I'll need it as evidence to make things easier" Dad said with a twinkle in his eyes like seriously he's happy about me going to that school? I watched as Mom's hand it over to him then he left, I was curious to know more about the letter so I leaned over to Mom.
"Is that all that the letter says?" I required in case there was nothing I need to be worried about.
She made a face. "Why don't you go down the store and get groceries for dinner," She said instead.
"Fine" I agreed.

To say I'm never used to the looks those creatures always give in my direction but I managed to ignore them until I bumped into a girl standing at the entrance unmoving.
"Oops!" I bounced back falling flat on my butt while she stood on moving, for a girl she's awfully strong.
She growled glaring at me, I was terrified so I quickly shot up into a standing position, damn she looks so intimidating. "I.. I'm... Sorry" I muttered then I noticed she was sniffing me.
"You should be" Luckily she stopped glaring at me and move out of the way. "you're human?" She pointed out.
Her sudden change in mood caught me off guard. "Yes, that right" At least she stopped glaring at me.
"Come on, I'll show you around" then grabbing my arm like she wanted banged my head on the nearest wall. "Before looking me in the eyes human make sure you're stronger than me" Then she stumbled away.
Okay this is the first time any of them is nice to me so I was suspecious, well she soon confirmed cause suddenly she twisted my right arm so tightly for a split second, I thought she would break it.
"Next time you talk back at me make sure you're stronger" Then a sharp fang dig into my flesh, she snickered then walk away.
I stared after her blinking back the tears in my eyes before walking deeper into the store to get what I came here for.
By the time I got home it was pretty late, I was the last person attended to just because I'm a human! The injustice here is driving me so crazy but since the war with humans are still going on–meaning we have no place to stay except here where it's safe enough.
"Mom! I'm home" I called walking into the not so small apartment I shared with my parents, at least the Alpha was nice enough to give us a home. I guess kindness pays but the werewolves would never understand that, to them they were repaying us for my father's kindness and keeping an eye on us.
"Well that was quick" She answered sarcastically walking into the kitchen.
"I was delayed by them can you believe it Mom? They attend to me last just because I wasn't a freaking werewolf and you guys are sure about me going to that school?" I raise my eyebrow in question pushing my glasses on the bridge of my nose.
"Lexi, look on the bright side, we have a roof over our head and we are safe. What more could you possibly want?" She asked sternly.
"Freedom" I bit back. "I feel like I'm in a cage and God damn that so called Alpha–"
"That's enough! Enough" Mom shouted with a frighten look on her face then few minutes later a knock sounded on the door.
"What have you done!" Mom hissed angrily at me hurrying to the door, I followed behind wondering what the hell was going on.
When Mom opened the door two guards stood outside staring at us, me especially, God! They were pretty intimidating and scary.
"Eyes on you" One of them growled at me before they spun around and left.
Mom turned around to glare at me, "There goes your freedom" Then she left.
Okay I'm still confuse about the whole thing. *What the f*uck?*
