Jessica's Pov

Aaaaaaarrrgghh!!!!!! I screamed after I felt the chilled water on my head. Of course,who else,it's always my mom waking me up this way.

I wake up with cold water being poured on me every single day and it's like my mom won't stop doing that. I wonder when she's going to realise that I'm not a morning person.

Ugh mom!! I grumbled loudly.

Get up Jessica,it's a new day,there is a lot of work I have prepared for you to do today.

Why me mom?I asked her still feeling sleepy, why not Kyle?you pamper him a lot,he doesn't do anything in the house but to play all day

Why you?,my mom asked putting on the strict look she always has on when she orders us around, I always choose you because it's you!! All you do is to daydream about things that are far from even coming to reality,you sleep late everyday because you watch fashion shows and also because you disturb everyone with your horrible songs every night before going to bed.

Get up and get ready for the day's activities!my mom said with finality in her voice.

She gave me that strict look she always has before leaving my room

Uggghhhh!!!!!this is so unfair, I said face palming myself.

I looked to my bedside table to check the time

11:15?????oh my God! I said almost screaming...it then dawned on me that I had switched off my alarm when it kept ringing countless times earlier in the morning.

God!!!I feel so exhausted,I said quietly rubbing my fingers on my forehead.

And then,in a flash,I remembered the dream I was having before my mom woke me up. I looked so beautiful in the dress I was wearing in the dream,I wasn't chubby like I look like in reality, I was looking like a goddess and reporters were struggling to capture me on camera and ask me questions.

I smiled widely to myself as i remembered every details of the beautiful dream.

Opening my door with full force and standing by the doorway with arms akimbo, my mom looked hard at me and said, "Jessica,this is the very last time I would be coming here to tell you to get out of bed,the next one would be fire", she said with an angry tone.

I need no one to tell me that I could land into trouble if I don't obey my mom,I pulled the duvet off my body and got up.

Good morning world! I said stretching

Thank you lord! I said with a yawn as I began to arrange my bed and prepare for the day .

I walked to my mirror whose Frame was filled with various stickers and stared at myself, I'm never confident about the way I look like,I'm chubby,my hair is too curly and always messy because it keeps getting tangled,my face is not smooth like how I want it....

All my life,I thought my eyes getting teary, I've lived wanting to be a model but the problem is my mom,all she wants is for me to go to school, as a Matter of fact,I hate school!!

Well,I'm born into a family of two, I have an older sister,Fiona, and a little brother,Kyle,he always get on my nerves...and of course we have no dad.

I'm 18,would be 19 next week,I don't even know why I'm not so happy about it....

Well,enough of the introduction,time to work, I said walking to the bathroom to brush my teeth.

Sarah's pov

I was busy instructing one of my staffs when I saw the car outside,that same car that wouldn't stop coming here

Oh God,if only my poor Jessica knows what would become of her next week,I said to myself feeling frustrated about the car's presence

So,get back to work,I said to the staff.

Sarah!the man with the car stood in front of me.

Oh,good morning Mr Jones

What's so good about the morning Mrs Sarah

Oh no!Mr Jones,at least let's take a seat,I said moving forward to a table set with chairs around it.

Sitting down,he said; Sarah,the deal is over,where is my money?

I already told you I would pay, I blurted out frustrated

Hahahaha,he said imitating a laugh

You said the same thing last year remember? You were supposed to pay me my money two years ago but I had mercy on you and gave you enough time to pay but then you keep saying you would pay.....

If you can't give me the money, then sign the contract I proposed to you!!

It's either you give me the money or you sign the contract,he said bringing out the same paper I dreaded seeing.

Mrs Sarah,I'm waiting,give me the money or you give your daughter to my son till you pay the money,he said almost loudly.

Jones,I would get back to you,I said trembling slightly

Sarah,you and I both know what would happen if you don't sign the contract,with the snap of my finger,you could land in jail.

I looked up at him and saw that he was really determined to get his money

Hmmmm!!! okay!Jones! I wonder why you're so determined to get the money from me,you're so rich and you have a lot of money,I don't know why you're so adamant on collecting this money from me.

Sarah! I know I'm rich and even my children are rich but how can you borrow money for 2 and half years without paying back?

No Sarah,you could have told me to give you the money forever rather than borrowing,there is a difference between giving and borrowing.

You know I'm struggling with my three children to get a life, I decided to come to you for help because we were almost loosing everything and you are the only one I have since we've been friends since highschool...

Please,just don't make me give my daughter out for the sake of money,besides she's still young....

Sarah,it's too late,I wish I can help you,besides it's not like I'm going to kill your daughter,she's only going to get married to my son till you pay me back the money.

You know,I can't tell you to give me your older daughter,she's too old for my son,so please just sign the contract,he said convincingly

I stared at him refusing to say anything

Come to think of it Sarah, he said smiling, when your daughter gets married to my son,she would have access to anything she wants including the better life you want for her,she would even get enough money to take care of you and your remaining children...

Just imagine,I'm even on the loosing side.

Hearing this, I smiled.

Okay Jones,just give me the paper

He passed the paper and a pen to me and I immediately signed it and passed it back to him.

Phew!now the only problem is how I would tell my daughter,oh my poor Jessica,I thought.

Well,Sarah,so when should we be expecting the bride?Jones asked

Uhm!next week Tuesday, I said remembering that the next day after Tuesday is going to be Jessica's birthday.

So be it Sarah,Jones said getting up,I would be here with my wife to pick her up next week.

I'm sorry for causing you troubles Sarah ,have a good day,he said and left.

I stood up from where I sat feeling happy and sad, I was happy because my daughter would be marrying to a rich family and sad because I don't know how she would feel about it.
