  It was quiet and dark.

A few lines of pale sunlight was able to pass through the thin curtain hanging on a window.

When she fluttered open her eyes, she was met by the glow-in-the-dark star stickers sticking on the room’s ceiling.

It was not the same high ceilings she had in her house. It did not have the large and bright chandelier that hangs above; instead, it was a tiny light bulb that slept beside the bright stickers around it.

  Where could she be?

She propped herself up and sat on the semi soft bed that she was laying on. She looked around the boxed room that was not even as big as her toilet.

Her eyes adjusting to the dark room, only faint lights illuminating it, she stood from the bed and made a scan to her surroundings. The room was painted in a pale color and was sparsely decorated.

Aside from a study table that held pens and other writing materials on its side, a white closet stood opposite the bed that looked oversized in a tiny room like this one.

She almost toppled over a small beanie in the middle of the tiny room, it’s form like a sheep or a cloud, as she made her way across to the other side.

Could she have been kidnapped again?!

  No… That’s not possible. Haru won’t allow it… Haru? Where’s Haru?!

A faint light illumines the silhouette of what seems to be a door. She ran to it and opened the knob.

Blinding lights greeted her as she opened the wooden door. Squinting, she looked on an empty - and rather small - hallway. To her left is a wall with a small window and to her right stands a door with the nameplate “Momo” hanging. Beyond that, the hallway crosses with another horizontal hallway. She then walked to this direction to see if she can find an exit.

A few steps to her right sits a basket full of clothes, facing a door, in a poorly lit area. However, on her left, she can hear the soft chuckles and conversation of people - mostly, females.

The voices came from a room with an open door, as the light illuminates from that direction.

"Should I go? What if they are my kidnappers!" She thought.

With cautious steps, she pinned herself to the wall and slowly made her way to the open door. She barely even noticed the closed door across her as she walked to the open door where quiet laughter can be heard.

She peeped inside that door and found a tiny and neat dining room, adjoining a tiny kitchen. A table with four chairs sits in the middle, and across it, another open door leads to a living room.

A delicious scent of something wafts through the air as a woman with a bobbed light brown hair cooks. A little girl with short ringlets of bronze hair stands beside the table.

“Huh? Big sis, hurry up! You took your time sleeping in!” The girl, who she assumes is 9 or 10 pouts, her ringlets bouncing as she heaves a sigh.

The woman turns around from cooking and plasters a soft smile, “Ice, what are you doing there? Come on and help us out. Dinner’s about to start.”

She revealed herself to the two strangers, but there was no surprise in their eyes. Instead, the woman walked to the table holding a hot pot of something smelling so delicious and motioned for the little girl to move aside.

“Momo, I don’t like how you talk to your big sister. I don’t think that is how you should talk to people older than you.”

The little girl frowns and fidgets, “Sorry, Mom. Sorry Sis.” She looked at her with pleading eyes.

Having no response, she was caught surprised when the Mom looked at her with her brows arching.

  “Well?”, she asks.

“Uhh.. it’s alright?”, she barely stammers.

The mom smiled and said, “Come now and let’s start dinner”.

“Yay! Dibs on the carrots!” The little girl exclaims.
