WRITER'S POV
Beep! Beep! Beep!
The alarm went off as it rung relentlessly trying to wake up the sleeping figure.
Isabella stirred but didn't fully awaken as the sun seeped into her room through the window. A new dawn had arrived bringing with it new hope and aspirations.
But it didn't seem that way for Isabella as she lazily sort the alarm and snoozed it, deciding that she wanted to sleep for another five minutes she shut her eyes and covered her head.
School could wait until she had gotten her beauty sleep. slipping back into slumber as she began dreaming about how much better life would be without school.
Her mother noticed that her precious daughter wasn't yet up, so she went to her room to wake her.
Upon arrival she tried shaking her awake but she kept murmuring something about five minutes. So she sprinkled some water on her and Isabella immediately bolted out of sleep and scanned her room for the Intruder who dared to pour water on her.
Realising that it was her mom she kept quiet before softly asking, "Why did you sprinkle water on me, dearest mom?"
"well good morning to you too," she sassed. "You weren't waking up, so I had to find a different method to do it," she answered nonchalantly.
"Why didn't just dump the entire cup of water on or even a bucket, 'cause that would have been easier," she retorted. Her sleep was cut off, so she was a bit grouchy.
Her mom rolled her eyes at her daughter's dramatic behavior. "Just shower and come downstairs, your father wants to talk to you."
With that she left her daughter's room. Checking the time, Isabella realized that she had slept in and that she was running late. All her sleep disappeared as she rushed to the bathroom and took a quick shower.
She grabbed her uniform which consisted of a long sleeve shirt with a black, white and maroon checkered skirt and a matching necktie. It also had a black blazer with maroon stripes on the wrists and socks of the same color. She tied her brunette hair in a ponytail.
Applying lip gloss as the final touch, she slipped her shoes on and grabbed her backpack and exited her room and descended the stairs going straight to the dinning room.
"How wonderful that have finally graced us with your presence, Bella," he says mockingly.
"My apologies for being late father." she sat down on his left side as her mom served her breakfast and she began eating.
"I would have accepted your apology if you done well in your mathematics test." Busted! Instead of studying like she was supposed to, she ditched it and went to watch a movie with her best friend Mia. She got a B- . "I am waiting for your explanation, so what happened to make you fail? You know, I always thought you took your academics seriously."
"I do," she hurriedly agreed. "It's just that I had a off week."
Her father wasn't buying it but he decided to put a pin in that. They would discuss it further once she came back home from school. They ate the rest of their breakfast in silence.
After Isabella was done, she said her goodbyes to everyone and went to school on her bicycle.
In no time, she arrived at the school. Leaving her bicycle with the others, she mad her way to class quickly.
As she got closer to the gate, she noticed her best friend rushing towards her from the entrance.
Mia engulfed Isabella in a bear hug without hesitation. The other pupils stared at them as they walked by. "I missed you so much, Bella!" She exclaimed as she pulled away from the hug.
"How's that possible, we were together yesterday!" She replied.
"Does that mean I can't miss my best friend?" she quirked her brow at Isabella.
"Of course you can. But don't you think you're getting a bit addicted to me?" she teased. "I can understand if you're, I am very irresistible."
She rolled her eyes. "Keep dreaming! I just love annoying you that's all."
"I think my tiny human heart just got broken by you."
"Oh please, stop overreacting." she chuckled. This was how their friendship was. Filled with drama and humor to keep the glued together.
Although, at first when Isabella and her parents had just moved here, she had no intention of making friends, but Mia's persistence prevailed over her stubbornness and they ended up inseparable.
Mia was a beautiful Indian emigrate who came to the UK with her parents. Her father came here and had started his own business while her mother was a local fashion designer aiming to be famous.
Despite the differences between them they ended up being the bestest of friends who looked out for each other's will bring.
Checking the time on her wrist watch, Mia realized that they were late for their English class. "Bella, I think we should start off now or else Mr Williams will punish us for being tardy."
They both rush inside the school passing through the almost empty halls. Just as they got to their classroom, Isabella realized that she had left her English textbook in her locker.
"Mia, please save me a seat. I will be back soon I am going to get my English textbook."
"But-" Isabella was already rushing through the halls to get to her locker.
By the time she had gotten her textbook, the hallway was empty and she began rushing back to her classroom when she hit a wall and all her books fell to the ground.
