Introduction
How much time has passed? I feel like I've been here for about a year, and all I do is watch my life over and over again. First I was confused, then sad and now all that is left is anger. Slowly I'm losing myself. I hear the sharp sound and again everything is dark, swallowing me whole.

Delta's P.O.V

I was leaving University when I heard the alarm of my jeep go off. It startled me, but as soon as I tapped the door twice it shut down. I get in my car and start the engine, as soon as I leave the parking lot I feel better. I loved my studies but I hated the city so much, and that is why I was excited to get home for the weekend. I was studying journalism and I needed to get through my finals and get my diploma so that I could go travel the world and write about it. After driving by the exit sign, as the city lights were behind me I turned on the radio and hummed to the music. I would always turn off the radio while driving through the chaotic traffic because my focus is better in silence. My hometown wasn't that far away, it was a one-hour drive. The town is small it has about 80 000 people living in the city and around it. There wasn't much to do there while growing up, but moving made me realize I love my dull little town. My phone starts to ring and I see on the caller Id it's my brother. My brother and I had this complicated relationship between hating and loving each other. I was always a pain in the ass about sticking to the rules and he was all about living in the moment. I answer the call, "Hey I'm on my way, I'll be home in about fifteen minutes". " Delta don't come here, turn around and go back" I can hear him running because his voice is tired and hectic. I'm starting to worry and I hit the breaks, stopping in the middle of the road. "Mark are you okay? What's going on?" On the other end is complete silence I look at the phone screen and after a second it says call terminated. Sometimes I couldn't stand the guy but I would put my life on the line for him and I knew he would do the same for me. I start the car to head back in the direction of the city where I came from but I see police flashing lights. Fuck, just what I needed, police asking why I'm parked in the middle of the road. I see in my rearview mirror an officer approaching and I place my hands on the steering wheel. He taps my window and I roll it down.

"Hello officer," I say shyly and look at him with wide eyes. I don't know how to flirt and also I have a boyfriend so I'm left feeling like an idiot.

He looks at me flashing his light straight into my face "license and registration ".

I give him my cards and try to smile at him, but he looks very focused and pissed. Maybe I could pay him off and be on my way, the problem is I have never done that so I don't know the right approach. Hack I've never been stopped by the police in the first place. I see in the corner of my eye that my phone is buzzing and it's my mom calling, the officer gives me a nod to answer it. I pick up and I want to say that I'm on my way but she cuts me off by yelling " Delta run" as soon as she says those words I turn around to the officer but I'm met with the punch of his fist in my face. What the hell? He starts grabbing me by the neck and I roll my window up and hit the gas paddle. My body is in a panic mood I barely focus on the road. There's no turning back now, at high speed I drive to my hometown, trying to understand what just happened. Grabbing my phone I dial my mother back but it's no use, she isn't picking up. My mother is not the one to panic, she is always calm and collected, a perfect lady. There must be a reason why both she and Mark told me not to come. But I don't see what my options are now because the police are chasing me. I see the welcome sign and also I see a police car just behind me, they are too close for my liking. I was distracted by looking at the police car chasing me that in the last second I see the big wall in front of me, in the middle of the road to the city. I hit the break in time to stop in front of the wall. It doesn't pass more than a minute and my car is surrounded by the man in black uniform with armor. I'm shaking by the chills all over me. Somebody yells for me to get out of the car. I'm almost paralyzed by fear, slowly and with a shaky hand, I open the car door and get out of the car with my hands up in the air so that they can see I'm not some kind of fugitive or whoever they are looking for. One yells for me to lay on the ground and I do as I'm told. "What's your name?" Some woman asks and I answer hesitantly ''Delta, Delta Collins" I can hear somebody else walking over to me, they bend down and move my hair so that my neck is exposed and then I feel the pressure of a needle in my neck. Not even a second goes by and everything goes dark.

Six hours later.

I'm starting to wake up. I can hear voices surrounding me and the beeping of the machine, I try not to open my eyes so that I can listen and try to understand what people around me are saying.

"This one will pull through, she has the potential to become what we need" the man says, and somebody scoffs at that. Somebody is not agreeing with that statement. I feel like my body is burning but I can't scream or move as if I'm paralyzed and once again I lose consciousness.

Two days later.

I can't hear anything, it's quiet but not southing. I slowly open my eyes and see that I'm on the bed in the room with screens all over the walls, there are two doors souranded by neon lights, that was the only source of lightning in the room. I stand up from the bed. Looking at the small room, there was the bad a small coffee table and walls were covered in screens I couldn't even make it out we're one was ending and the other one begins. I go to the closest door, open it and see the small bathroom with toilet, bathtub, and sink with shelves below, one towel, again every part of the wall is covered by the screen. I go back to the room to go for the other door but there is no handle, I try to push it with all force I have in me but it doesn't move an inch. I sit on the bed trying to understand where the hell am I. All of the screens around me and above me light up and it's more like windows. When I look up I see the grey sky it must be early morning, around me it's some kind of big empty courtyard. In the distance of the courtyard, I see two box-like houses but I can't see inside or the windows only black reflective glass. Those small black boxes houses must be just like the one I'm in. I go to the screen that looks like a window and put my hand on it the image gets blurry but stays the same. I take a deep breath and I can sense that air is changing. I breathe in and out and start to feel dizzy. Everything goes black again, and I can't help but feel hopeless. Those screens showing outside were like a moment of taunting freedom. So close but out of reach.
