Lauren's pov
*buzzz buzzz*
I open my eye's as I hear my annoying alarm going off. I quickly shut it off and sigh. GREAT, another FIRST day of hell. Yep, my first day of my Junior year. Yay.
~At school~
I walk into the building people call school but I call it hell. I'm wearing all black like usual, which is why people call me a witch, well that and my purple hair that I dyed two years ago. Despite my fathers wishes, my mom took me to get it dyed on my birthday and I kept it purple since then.
I look at all the students trying to find my two and only friends but suddenly I was wrapped in a hug from behind and I immediately knew who it was.
"Hey~" he purred in my ear as he squeezed me tighter.
"Andy, I swear to whatever god your messed up family believes in, if you do not get your hands of me I'll snap you in half" I growled at the boy behind me.
Andy, my first and most ANNOYING friend. He's an idiot and the class clown but he's the only one who calls himself that, probably because the whole class finds him annoying, especially the popular kids who make it no secret of how annoying they find him. He's also my biggest crush but I'll rather die and say hi to Satan than admit that.
"B-but I-" he was interrupted as he was pulled off of me. I could finally turn around now.
"Now now, you know how much she HATES human contact, we talked about this Andy" my other friend Peter shook his head at the blonde as he pouted. Oh my GAWD. That was adorable.
"Thank you Peter, at least one of you understands what personal space is" I rolled my eye's at the antic's of my friends.
Peter flashed me a bright smile, an almost blinding smile. His smile is probably one of his best features but that is no surprise sense one of his mom's are a dentist. Yes he has two mom's, if thats a problem then STOP reading and click of this book. He is also gay and has a crush on the football captain which is crap sense he is a dick to everyone but his friends and strangly Peter too which is why he likes him, although it's probably only because he tutors him and Peter is SUPER nice and smart so obviously too good for him. I met him in middle school when he moved here and we became friends because Andy forced him to sit with us. I've known Andy sense we were in kindergarten. And yes the whole school knows he is gay.
"You're welcome but he missed you, he wouldn't stop talking about you all week" Peter smiled.
"That's because she ignored me all week!" He shouted, we got some weird looks but I didn't care.
I looked at their outfit and was not surprised, this was how they usually dressed. Peter wore one of his usual sweaters and Andy wore a simple t-shirt with some band from the 80's on it.
That's because you annoy me" I said.
He scoffed. "Rudeee, why you gotta do me like that!" He shouted again. I rolled my eyes.
"Ummm, we should get to our first class before we get in trouble" Peter said, most likely uncomfortable from all the stares we were getting. I told him to give zero fucks like me but then he told me to watch my profanity. If you couldn't tell he's the mom friend.
"Ugh, fine mom" Andy rolled his eye's as we started walking to our first class together. We have art, biology, gym, and English together, we also eat lunch together. We have English first.
"Stop calling me that!" He said before we got to our class.
"Then stop being a mom" I snickered.
"Really, Lauren?" He shook his head, I just shrugged before we took a seat and then class started.
~At lunch~
"Hey, fuckers" I said as I sat at our lunch table. Andy laughed and Peter just sighed and closed the book he was reading.
"Really?" He asked like some mom scolding his kid. I just laughed.
"ANYWAY! did you guys know all Juniors are getting tested next class?" Andy asked. He's talking about how every year Juniors are tested for super powers. They only test Juniors because that's usually around the time people's powers start showing up and makes it the easiest to test them for power's. Of course there are cases where peoples powers show up earlier or later usually because of stressful situation.
Peter nodded his head. "That's nothing new, they do this every year" I said.
"Yeah but what's really scary is you don't know until they show up at your house later that night to take you to one of those prisons" Peter shuddered.
"Well, yeah because if they tried to take you when they tested you it could cause your power to awaken and destroy the school" I said.
"Yeah, but still, you get dragged out of your house by a S.W.A.T team in the middle of the night and you never see your family and friends again. Either way it's terrifying to think about" Peter said.
"Then stop thinking about it four eye's" our eyes all turned to see Sara, the cheerleader captain with her boyfriend and best friend. Fucking bitch.
"Ugh, what do you want?" I asked. Sara raised her eyebrow at me.
"Watch your tongue, edgelord" she smirked, like I haven't heard that one before.
"Babe" her boyfriend said to shut her up. Ahhh, yes THE Nathan Franks. Football captain, Sara's boyfriend and Peter's crush.
Hi! How was your summer vacation?" The perky blonde next to them said. Selena Blake, Sara's best friend and surprisingly she's actually super nice and very talented with make up. She may be Sara's best friend but she's not on the the cheerleading squad, she's apart of the track team and supposedly super fucking fast.
"Uh... good I guess?" Peter answered. He was probably freaking out right now, his crush is right there after all.
Me and Andy gave a simple good to the blonde to get her and her friends to leave quicker but at last. They did not leave. They actually sat down at our table.
"That's good! My summer was fun too! I went to the lake, like every other day" she smiled. I just nodded, really not caring what they had to say.
"Hey, did you do anything fun, Peter?" Nathan asked. Peter just nodded his face burning red.
"Hey, lunch is gonna end soon" Robbie, their other friend came over. He is the star pitcher on the baseball team. He is Nathan's best friend. He, like Selena, is not a dick.
"Thank God, let's go!" Sara jumped up and they all left. The three of us threw away our trash.
"Uh, don't we all have the same class next?" Peter asked. Andy and I nodded. Stupid bitch. We ALL have art next with Miss Rodriguez, she's super nice and probably everyones favorite teacher.

We all walked into class and sat in the front, the douche club sat in the back.
"Alrighty, class as you all know, Juniors are gonna be getting tested so when the bell rings that will be your sign to head down to the Gym, okay now lets get started" Miss R explained before starting class.
This is bullshit. Why do I need to miss my favorite class because of stupid testing!?

The bell rung and all Juniors started heading down to the Gym.
Nathan's pov
I started walking down with Sara, Robbie, Selena, and Gina. Gina is super nice and smart, she's the student council president. Chad and Stephanie did not have art with us but honestly I don't really like them, none of us do. Stephanie is so fucking stupid it pisses me off and Chad is a fucking prick.
"So when are you gonna come out, Nate?" Sara asked me. I rolled my eye's.
"I told you when I'm ready" I told her. I heard her sigh.
"You know I don't want to force you or anything but I've been your fake girlfriend since 8th grade and I would like to actually act like a girlfriend to my REAL boyfriend" she said but gave me a small smile to reassure me. I came out to her and Robbie the summer before 8th grade, her and Robbie already started dating a week earlier but she wanted to help me by pretending to be my fake girlfriend so I wouldn't have to force myself to do things with a different girl. Robbie was okay with it too. I told Gina and Selena in our freshman year. My family knows too but I'm scared of what would happen if I came out in school.
"Do it whenever you're comfortable, we'll always have your back, Nate" Gina said as she patted my back.
"Yeah, I want everyone to know I'm dating Sara but I don't mind if it takes you longer, bro" Robbie said as he smiled.
"Yeah! we'll kick anyone's ass who tries to fuck with you" Sara laughed.
"Mhm, you know they won't be able to out run me either" Selena said as she did some chopping motion in the air with her hand.
"Thanks guy's and I'm really happy I have you as friends" I smiled. They all awed before squeezing me into a group hug. I love my friends.
-Lauren's pov-
After the testing, school ended and I was in the library with Andy and Peter, we are trying to help him with the Math homework we got on our first day. Our Math teacher is a bitch. The testing was pretty simple they just took our blood and then left. I guess they send our blood to a lab to get tested.
"Augh, I still don't understand" Andy complained for like the sixth time that hour.
"Andy, I explained it like 20 times, how are you still not understanding it?" Peter asked, we've been at the same thing for almost an hour.
"I just don't!" He complained.
"This is just review of what we did last year, dumbass" I slapped him in the back of his head.
"Ow!"
"Don't hit each other, it won't solve anything!"
"Whatever, maybe if you paid attention instead of fucking around in class last year, you would understand"
"Hey! That's MEAN!" He whined.
Peter sighed. "Andy, go take a walk and clear your head and maybe then you will be ready to learn"
He jumped up and ran out of the library. Jesus.
"Weak" I scoffed. He took off his glasses. Uh oh. The mom stare.
"Really, well are you gonna tell him about your crush...?" He gave me a evil smirk. GASP.
He-I... what? He never said anything like THAT before.
I'm so proud! He's learning!
"I would hug you if you didn't directly attack me but I'm still proud" I laughed.
He sighed. His phone beeped and he took it out. He quickly smiled. Mhm interesting.
"Who is that?"
"My mom"
"Jackie?" He nodded before standing up and putting his things in his bag.
"I thought she wasn't getting you until 5 it's- 4:25" I questioned taking my phone out checking the time.
"She had to get me early, said she had something to do later. Bye" he said as he rushed out of the library. Sus.
I started putting my things in my bag, no way in hell I was gonna tudor Andy alone but he didn't want to anyway so it's a win-win.
"Hey- where's Pete?" Speak of the Devil.
"His mom came to get him early, I'll meet you outside and don't make me wait" I said. We live near each other so usually we walk home together.
I didn't wait until I had a answer, I just walked out.
I walked out to the back of the building to wait for Andy.
I heard something strange and looked up and I was left shook.
"WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. FUCK."
