Livi

Everyone in the pack is excited about this night. While me? Tss. I find this to be fcking boring and old school.

Why are they still believing in this sht?! I've heard rumors that mating by this generation is getting smaller.

Also last year I heard that no one met their mate. Yeah I know I kinda like rumors, but hey! I just keep it to myself.

I sighed in disbelief as my mother entered my room wearing her warm smile while holding a white dress.

"Honey, it's time to dress up. Don't you want to meet your mate?" her warm smile turns into a mischievous one.

My eyebrows turn in a line while staring at what she's holding not minding what she's saying.

"What's with that face? You don't want this?" Sheesh. She knows me too much. I manage to give her a frail smile not wanting to disappoint her.

I stood up and was about to get the dress out of her hands but she hid it on her back.

I started panicking because I didn't want to offend her. I knew she put a lot of effort making that dress but here I am being a jerk.

But dresses aren't for me.

She sighs and smiles at me. "Aww, my baby. Don't worry it's ok" she patted my head but of course lowered my head a bit because I'm kinda tall.

"Maybe in your wedding you can finally wear this" my smile instantly vanishes.

"Mom—" she put her forefinger on my lips just to shut me down. She dramatically continued what I'm saying.

"—I don't want to get married! I'm too young and I don't like kids!" and then her laughter echoed in my room.

"You really sound like your father." Her tone now is full of bitterness but she still manages to flash a smile.

So I hugged her tightly without saying anything. Until I heard her sobs again, making my decision about marrying firm.

Later on we just found ourselves laughing. "Mom you're really…" I just shook my head and didn't finish my statement.

"I just realized that we don't need to mourn with someone who didn't value us. Instead love what we have and you know cherish the one who stayed."

"Did he say that to you?" Emphasising the word "he".

She replied "Yeah, and I didn't expect that I can apply it with him also" then she laughed sarcastically.

"Enough with the drama, you'll be late you little btch" I look at her like she was just like my sister who pass by in front of me wearing my clothes without telling me.

"Okay girl, gotcha"
