  Naya's POV

“You sure you’re leaving for real?” Meg asked beside me with her gloomy eyes.

"You know the reason why I am leaving right? I don’t wanna be in trouble especially that I am nothing compared to them." I stated. Another reason is that I found out that the man I used to love is now getting married, so what’s the reason for me to stay?

“So where are you gonna live now after you leave this island?” I took a deep breath.

“In Manila? Wherever the waves bring me. I just need to leave this place to have my moving on process.” just like those seashells drifted by the waves,

"When are you living?” my eyes rolled when Megan throw me another question.

“You’re not an investigator, right? You have too many questions.” I demanded.

“Just answer me Naya,” she said

  “Uhm…tomorrow.”

  "Tomorrow? Why that’s too early?"

"When should then? After a month or a year?" sarcastically I asked her.

"Okay…okay calm down I’m just asking you know?”

After we have our short conversation, we decided to go back to work again. The café was loaded with costumes and it’s that tiring. Looks like after this day I’m drained.

"Here's your order, Ma'am." I quickly returned to the counter to get the other trays of order. Shit…my legs hurt!

I can’t even get some rest because of too many orders.

"Here’s for table four Naya!” Megan shouted. I took the tray and walked through table four.

While walking I didn’t intend to hear some girl talks. Their talking of someone reason for me to get interested.

"Did you hear the news? Timothy Estrella is now going to be married and guess who’s the lucky girl?”

"Who? Is she the famous fashion model?"

"Nope. He was going to marry Verone Sandoval."

  "Is it true?”

“Of course. They're meant for each other right?”

“Yes, they are. I just can’t picture it out how Tim has his past relationship with just a waitress.”

I froze because of what I’ve heard. The man I love is now going to marry my best friend's sister. Why Megan didn’t tell me?

"I pity that waitress girl. Imagine how Tim makes fun of her flesh.” my fist clenched into tight balls as I heard them telling those theories.

I continued to walk as I tried to control myself. Bedwarmer huh? Maybe that was the true intention of Tim but he didn’t succeed. He has my lips but he never laid his single fingers on my body.

"Here's your order, Ma'am and Sir."

As soon as I served their orders, I run into the stock room and tears rushed from my eyes. Memories with Tim flashes on my mind. The way we used to shared our smiles. His comfortable hugs make me feel I’m secured and most of all, his sweet and gentle kisses.

“You’re the girl I want to spend my whole life with Naya.”

Fuck it! I was fooled by your hugs and kisses. I was fooled by your promises, Tim and I regret it now. I should have known that your sweet words can deceive. You gave me the promises and I hold onto them but now, what happened?

You make me believe and yet you left me a wreck and broken like glass. You left me hanging into our dreams.

"Stop crying Naya." I turned my gaze toy best friend standing in front of me.

"I thought you will never cry again for that asshole?" she sits beside me as she holds my hands.

"M-meg…” I almost whisper and tears fell again on my cheeks.

"Lemme hugs you,” she said as she hugged me tightly. I'm very thankful that I have her…I have Megan Suarez as my best friend.

"This is the reason why I didn’t tell you that Timothy is going to marry my half-sister. I know that you would cry a lot again and I can’t take it. You cried a lot and that’s enough Naya.” she caresses my back and giving me comforting hug.

"Unlucky for him that he was going to marry my evil sister. He didn’t make the right decision as he chooses Verone over you,” she added. I'm still crying but hearing her words is enough to lessen my tears.

"Why does it hurts a lot, Megan?” I asked between my sobs. I heard her took deep and heavy breathing.

"You love him. That's enough reason why you’re been hurt. It's part of a breakup.”

"Am I beautiful Megan? I’m sexy right. I have fair skin and…” she cut my words off.

"Naya cut the crap. You're beautiful, sexy, and almost perfect even you have your imperfections. You don’t have any problems. It was Timothy who has his stupid mindset. Cheer up Naya, there’s a lot of men out there. Don't focus your heart on a stupid man.”

"I can do this Megan. I will leave this place and forget everything about him.” even with teary eyes, I tried to compose myself again. I smiled even if I looked like an idiot.

"Eh…here’s the tissue wiped out your tears. It's ruining your make-ups.”

"Let’s go outside, lots of costumer waiting for us and their orders.”

"Go first I’ll follow you outside. I'm going to fix my makeup first." Before Megan leave she mouthed first telling me that I should wear a smile.

I fixed my make-ups first before leaving the stock room and when I saw the entire café again…. Costumes we’re doubled.

“Miss you lost your towel.” I heard a deep baritone voice from behind and my jawed dropped when I saw his face.

Shit! He was the guy I used to steal some gaze awhile ago. The one who was wearing a brown shirt and having a celebration party after winning the surfing championship.

“Miss?” he said again. Shit, he’s so handsome and I can’t stop myself looking at his Adonis face and figure.

“Uhm…thank you.” I almost swallowed my tongue just by looking at him. I can hear my heart beating so fast as my hands were sweating.

“Tense?” he asked and giving me the cutest grin I’ve ever seen. I was stunned for a moment before giving him an awkward smile. Am I that too obvious?

“Um…no I’m not. By the way, I gotta go. Thanks again.”

That was our first encounter and I thought that it was the first and last but I’m wrong. The next day, one of my colleagues called me and I didn’t expect that moment.

“Naya someone is asking for you to serve him,” Leaze announced.

I frowned as I heard her. “Why me? I currently taking my rest.” I demanded but she gave me a wicked smile.

“He wants you to be the someone who serves his foods. Go and serve him at table seven.” I can’t do anything but follow her instead.

With my brows knotted, I walked through table seven. Who's this bullshit disturbing my current rest…God!

“Here’s your order Sir. Enjoy your meal.” I said as I giving him his orders.

“Hello.” as soon as I heard his familiar voice my eyes open wide. When our eyes met for the second time, I could hear again my heart beating so fast.

  “H-hello,” I answered

“Tense?” tense? yes, I am tense.

“Mind if you join me?” I was stunned for a second when I heard his words. Am I hearing it right and clear? Is he asking me to join him?

“Um…I’m sorry Sir but it is prohibited…” he cut my words.

“Then you’re allowed now.” He said full of authority. I can’t do anything but join him and actually, it gave me the feeling of butterflies in my stomach.

“Let’s eat.” I awkwardly smiled. I can’t believe that the man I stole some gaze from yesterday is now eating in front of me.No, erase that. We're eating together…geez!

“By the way, I’m Timothy but better called me Tim,” he said as he laid his hands.

  “N-Naya Luiz,” I answered.

He smiled. “Half American?” I nodded.

Two months ago I thought I was lucky because I met him. That I was lucky because I got the chance to eat with him, but it’s not.Because meeting him is a big mistake that happened in my life. I'm wrong giving him the chance to enter my peaceful life. I'm wrong for loving him. I'm too idiot and stupid for believing that he loves me. His sweet smile deceives me, as well as his lips that I love to kiss.

Every time he smiled at me I’m like an ice cube under the burning sun, melting slowly. Every time he hugs me I e like I can’t take him away from my body. He seems to be drugs and I’m too addicted.

And when he gave me the promise that he would marry me, my life turns upside down. It’s too late for me to realize that Elsa in Disney Movies is right. We can’t marry a man we’ve just met. And now I regret believing in Timothy’s promises.
