Once upon a time, eons ago the Gods lived in the mortal realm, in harmony with the mortals. Although they didn’t like themselves, they tolerated each other.

It was a shaky alliance of peace, ready to break under a little pressure. And that pressure came at last with the disappearance of a single item from three major King of the Gods. These items were Zeus’ crown, Odin’s spear, Gungnir, and the last was Ra’s scepter.

Each Gods blamed themselves. Zeus blamed Odin, Odin blamed Ra and Ra blamed Zeus. Due to their wounded pride, each side prepared for war. The battle was set in the mortal realm, giving rise to panic.

The mortals were in fear, and so were the two remaining kings. These Kings were known for their tremendous powers; they were by all means the strongest in the cosmos. The three of them fighting in the mortal realm would have not only be fatal to the mortals, but also to them, who gain more strength from the worship of their followers. But they didn’t listen to reason. The only thing on their mind was their wounded pride.

Fortunately, the mortal realm was saved by the intervention of the only existing Shadow Nymph, Cahya; the child of Hades and the nymph Leuce. Cahya appeared in the middle of the battle ground, the three sides facing each other, ready to attack.

Cahya rose up from the shadows with Zeus’ crown on their head, Odin’s spear on their back, and Ra’s scepter in hand. They explained to the gods how it was a plan to get them to fight and destroy each other, and also the mortal realm. They proposed an idea of separating the god’s realms and building a gate that only allows the gods of a particular realm, given permission by the King and their Council, to enter their realm. Only by the invitation of a Domain King can any other realm god enter into another Domain.

The gods hesitantly heeded Cahya’s advice, seeing as they lived in their domains in a time of their life. Not only did they saved the mortal realm from the squabble of the gods, they also brought honor to their father, Hades, who was pleased that his lover, Leuce, bore him a child before her tragic passing.

And so, the five Kings built a gate each, protecting their Domains from each other. For their bravery in finding the lost items and stopping a senseless war from happening

to the disgruntlement of Tyr and Ares

, the Kings came together and granted godhood to Cahya. They became the personification of harmony, balancing both dark and light.

Cahya was loved by hand few, adored and respected by many, and hated by all. Most of the major Norse and Egyptian gods were in awe of them, always eager to accept their presence in their domain. They were fond of Cahya and they too grew fond of them. But they faced great opposition from their father’s side. Most of the Grecian gods treated them with disgust, all because of their parentage.

Hades wasn’t… liked and appreciated by most of the Grecian gods. He was seen as a villain, and that frankly made Cahya angry. It infuriated them so much to the point of rage. Their father was burdened with a job he never wanted, and they all paid him back with distrust and disrespect.

One day, they finally had enough and they put the gods right where they belong; under the lasing of their tongue. Cahya was said to have a silver tongue

they were Loki’s student at a time

and to be talked down by them was the equivalent of the Kings berating you.

It happened in their annual meeting, where all the major Grecian gods were gathered together by Zeus. The King made a degrading statement at Hades and Cahya just snapped. With a bland voice and expression, they insulted Zeus, calling him a man child who always have the sick pleasure of stepping on others for his entertainment and self-worth. All the other gods couldn’t help but gape at their audacity. They just stared at Zeus and Cahya, who were glaring at each other. The mood was broken by Ares’ booming laughter, amused by his friend’s statement.

Hera made a move to screech at them with her annoying voice

to Cahya

but they cut her down with five simply words and a cold look;

  “Shut up, you old hag.”

Those words got some gods sniggering into their hands and other staring wide eyed at them. No one insults Hera, no one, and lived to survive both her wrath and that of Zeus’. But Cahya didn’t care. They hated injustice, especially to those they cared about. Yes, their father might not have been the best and have his faults

faults that he was trying to correct with their help

, but they won’t stand by to see their remaining parent to be ridiculed in front of them.

It was due to that event that made about 50% of the Grecian gods to either fall in love with them or have respect for them. When Tyr and Loki heard about it, they clapped their back with pride, a wide grin on their faces. Freyja just nodded in approval.

It’s a widely known that Cahya loved and associated with just a handful or so gods. Ares and Tyr were their training partners; they sought the presences of Anubis, Seth and Thoth if they wanted advice whilst Hecate, Freyja and Loki were the closest to them, along with Medusa and her sisters. They only confined with these gods and they were the only ones who got to see their real side. These deities were seen as their family.

Cahya butted heads with Hera, Aphrodite and Athena a lot. Hera being that Zeus had an…. unpleasant interest with them. Cahya couldn’t count how many times they had rejected the Lightening god, honestly annoyed by his obsession with them.

Yes, the Grecian gods were known for their lust and the inability to control their genitals, but this, by the Cosmos, was just too much.

Since that faithful day, his lust for them grew much stronger and Cahya resisted the strong urge to bang their head repeatedly on the wall. But still, better them than the innocent mortals.

Because of the interest her man-whore of a husband for them, Hera could be found antagonizing them and Cahya honestly wished that the goddess will get a grip. How hard was it to see that they weren’t interested? With anyone for that matter.

Not only was Hera mad that her husband was trying to get a new toy, Aphrodite too was angry, all because Ares was spending much time with them. Ares, who, like Tyr, was like a brother to them. A loud and boastful brother. For a goddess who basically fucked everything that caught her eye, Aphrodite was condescending.

Cahya had assured the two goddesses that they were in no way interested with their husbands, but every time, their words were ignored.

These three goddess were on Cahya’s black list because of the horrible things they have done to countless women and men. Every time they saw Athena or Hera, they felt like ripping these goddesses apart.

Medusa’s tragedy still angered them and they wanted retribution for it. But they decided against it. Instead, they granted Medusa and so many unfortunate others their former mortal bodies. They only had to change to their monstrous form every equinox, allowing them to live among humans without consequences.

Cahya became a god/goddess to all the monsters out there. Even the mortals worshipped them.

Not only did they had a sour relationship with these three goddesses, they also had a great disdain for some of the other gods. Joining the list were Poseidon and Zeus. The hate they had for these two gods was unfathomable. Poseidon for what he did to Medusa and Zeus for what he did to Hades and many mortals. Hermes and Apollo were also among said list. But Cahya, after a while, just leant to not bother themselves. They made up their mind that if the gods did horrible things to innocent mortals, they will be there to pick up the pieces and provide aid to the victim. Because in the end, there was no stopping gods to fuck shit up.

Speaking of Hades, Cahya developed a relationship with their father, and also his wife, Persephone. Although the goddess made their mother ran away with a heavy dose of madness clinging to her, Cahya still understood why she did it. Their father forced her to live in the underworld and she wanted to get him back for it. They and their step mother had a mutual understanding and they developed a friendship like no other.

Soon, they and the rest of the Underworld dwellers became their family. They related well with their step sisters – Makaria and Melinoe – and step brother – Zagreus, who they called Brimos as a pet name – and also with their father’s subordinates. Their most favorite being Thanatos, who understood them without them saying too much.

It became a norm for Cahya to stay in the Underworld for fifty or sixty years or so every century. Time was basically non-existent to gods.

All in all, Cahya had a good life. But, as usual, all good things must come to an end. Nothing lasts for long, not even for a god.

On a faithful day, Zeus called a meeting, surprising the gods. Everyone came, except for Cahya – which was unusual and strange. What was even stranger was that their Communication Orb couldn’t be reached, not even Hades could get through to them.

“Okay, this is strange.” Hermes said with a frown. “Cahya is never late. They are the most punctual being I’ve ever encountered. Something might have happened to them.”

“Something happened to who? Them?” Ares snorted. “Cahya is one tough Dark Nymph. Not even Tyr nor I could beat them without losing a limb or two. They are strong.”

Artemis and others nodded in agreement.

“My son is right. If there’s anyone stubborn and strong willed to never lose a fight, its’s that annoying child.” Hera drawled with annoyance, disdain in her voice. “I’m sure they are visiting that monster friend of theirs and forgot their Communication Orb. You know how they are. They simply hate distractions. You lot are just worrying yourselves for nothing.” She batted the air dismissively, a sneer on her face. “Let us discuss what we came here for.”

Persephone, Artemis, Apollo, Ares and Hermes, shared worried looks between themselves; while Hades, Poseidon and Zeus gave each other a frown. Something was wrong. Something was terribly wrong. They could practically taste it in the air. And they weren’t the only ones. They could see that the other gods were tensed and some of them were looking left, right and center, on guard for anything.

“They reason I called us here is because of an emergency.” Zeus began, voice loud and brows furrowed. “Someone has broken the first seal of the Gates of Abyssmal.”

  “WHAT?!”

The eleven gods jumped up from their seats, disbelieve clearly written on their faces, as was fear written in their eyes.

“How could this happen?! Those seals are impossible to break! We made sure of it!” Poseidon exclaimed.

“What is the meaning of this, Zeus?!” Hades shouted.

“We are unsure of how it happened. The other Kings have called a meeting of their own, debriefing the other high gods in their domain about this development.” Zeus said in a silky tone, his chin on his crossed fingers. “We have come to the conclusion that a major god from a certain domain broke the seal and syphoned a great deal of unadulterated dark energy through said broken seal. With a power like that, along with the perpetrator’s own individual powers, they are dangerous.”

The hall became silent as a graveyard after Zeus’ statement. No one could speak, all shocked by the news.

Who in their right mind willingly took energy from the Abyssmal? That’s like willingly walking into the fucking sun. Due to how unadulterated the energy is, it will at a time drive the holder mad, and due to it volatile nature, that energy can cause a planet to wither and decay. It was why the Kings and the high gods branded together and created the Gates. The entity was too destructive and had to be contained. For someone to stupidly and foolishly open a seal, creating a crack in the Gates, it clearly stated that the god or goddess wasn’t thinking at all.

The tense moment and various inner monologue was interrupted by Hera’s snort of disdain.

“Well, now we know where the tramp headed to.” She muttered under her breath.

“What did you just say, Hera?” Hades hissed out, a thunderous scowl on his face.

“Oh please, it’s quite obvious who the perpetrator is. This cannot be just a coincidence–”

“But it is Hera.” Persephone interrupted. “My step child isn’t one to play around with powers like this. They are balance. Why save the mortal realm from our hands if they were going to destroy it in the first place?!”

“And why would they keep the goddess of Discord from doing much harm?” Artemis added. “They made sure that Eris is kept in check whilst also making sure that the goddess had her fill, to their own detriment.”

“To put up a disarming image, of course. That is what I will do.” Athena inputed.

“That is you Athena, not Cahya. They might love chaos and destruction once in a while, but they also maintain peace. Cahya will never in a million years do this. This isn’t them.” Ares declared fiercely, a smoldering glare aimed at the two goddesses.

“Our son is right, Hera.” Zeus finally spoke, making the others to quiet down. “Cahya isn’t the one who did it. Just because they couldn’t make it to this meeting doesn’t mean they are to be ultimately accused.”

“Of course you will defend them. You would do anything just to make them grace your bed. How typical.” Hera spat out.

Zeus narrowed his eyes at her, sitting upright. The cloud above their heads darkened, lightening flashing. “Mind your tone, Hera. Just because you are my wife doesn’t mean I can’t bless you with a lightning bolt.” He said in a stern voice, his vivid unnatural blue eyes glowing, with sparks of lightening in them.

“Oh, I dare you Zeus.” Hera glared at him, her amethyst eyes shining with power.

Husband and wife glared at each other, neither unwilling to lose the battle.

“As much as it amuses me to no end to see the two of you have a marital spat, we have a serious the matter at hand.” Demetri drawled, interrupting their glaring contest.
