“What the hell are you doing at school? Why are you failing? Are you really my daughter?” Her Dad said angrily, while she was just bending forward for her father not to see her sad face. “Go back to your room, you are not allowed to eat and you’re grounded!” Miya rushed to her room while forcing her lips to smile but she failed, the sadness was slowly eating her.
Every time she feels sad she would force herself to smile, she wanted to be strong and optimistic in every problem she’s facing. That’s the only way she can fight back to survive.
Miya Buenaventura sat down on the chair of her study table. She opened her laptop while holding her fake smile. The girl then went to her downloaded videos to watch Madara’s words from an anime titled Naruto.
“Wake up to reality! Nothing ever goes as planned in this accursed world. The longer you live, the more you realize that the only things that truly exist in this reality are merely pain, suffering, and futility,” she watched as her tears started falling, she was in pain because of disappointment, she thought she could pass her exam but she didn’t. She thought her father would understand but he didn’t.
“Listen… everywhere you look in this world, wherever there is light, there will always be shadows to be found as well. As long as there is a concept of victors, the vanquished will also exist. The selfish intent of wanting to preserve peace, initiates wars and hatred is born to protect love. There are nexuses, causal relationships that cannot be separated.” He said and the video ended.
Madara’s words are real for her, it’s the reality that everyone is facing every day. She wiped her tears and went to the window of her room. Miya looked down at the ground from her 3 story house, she smiled widely while thinking of jumping and maybe dying.
“Life is hell no matter how you make things right. Ever since the day I was born, I’ve never felt being wanted. Life sucks,” she said while smiling widely as tears kept on falling from her eyes. She tried to climb up to the window but her small body couldn’t do it. While she was trying to climb again and again her tears were still falling not just from the sadness but also to her frustration.
Miya couldn’t take the anger anymore of not being able to climb through the window so she punched the wall and felt pain from her bleeding hand. “See, life sucks!” she said.
The girl looked around her room and she saw the chair beside her study table. She took it and put it near the window.
Miya immediately stood on her chair and looked at the grassy ground below. She wiped her tears using her hands.
“Nothing is more painful than being abandoned and hurt by your own family,” she said and she jumped through the window. She has lost her life and her mother. She has a father but he doesn’t love her, the painful truth that she had to endure every day.
The only thing that she thought to save herself from sadness and leave this cruel world was to hurt herself.
She didn’t think of the people that love her and care for her. Killing yourself is selfish but giving all your effort is selfless.
Blood kept on coming out from the girl’s head and her last tears fell from her eyes. She smiled as darkness filled her.
