"We got another one." An agent speaks over the radio.

The blue-eyed FBI agent on the other end bangs his fist on the steering wheel of his black Tahoe. One that was issued to him by the government. He finds a way to turn around and head to the crime scene. There have been a multitude of killings over the past two years. All the same MO. Usually a man or women in their late 30s, early 40s. Brown hair or dark-colored hair, brown or blue eyes, have a history of abusing children, and torture wounds along their back. The final blow, a blow to the head with a blunt object, usually a hammer.

"Agent Kenneth, he's been dead for maybe six hours. Looks like the killer wanted us to find him." The first agent on the scene explains to Agent Kenneth as he walks up.

The scene was based in a ditch off the side of an old back road. A naked body of a dead man lays covered in mud and scars and wounds that never got to heal. The grass is tall enough to just cover him, but his white skin stands out amongst the green.

"Blow to the head? Wounds on their back?" He asks, already knowing the answer if he was called in.

"Yes, and this time, the killer left a note."

"A note?" He can't help but look confused. The killer leaves nothing behind except for the body.

"On the victim's back."

They walk over to the body. The victim was already on his front. Written with what looks like a thin flamed lighter from probably a candle or grill lighter. It was burned into him when he was alive. Blisters had formed before he died.

"'You did this'" Agent Kenneth read aloud.

"Any idea what it means?" The other agent asks, queuing the medical examiner to take away the body.

"Who is he?"

"His prints came back as Cody Trippon." Notes are read from a small notebook.

"Wasn't he the one that walked a few weeks ago after being charged for raping a young girl?" He asks, his hands go to his hips, staring at the ground, trying to remember.

"Um...yeah, they didn't have any hard evidence. The girl didn't even remember a face." His fellow agent reminds him.

"I was in charge of that case. Shit!" He growls to himself.

The team gathers as much evidence as they can before heading back. Agent Kenneth orders the family of the young girl to come down to the station. He doesn't think they have anything to do with this death, but they might know something. There is only one way to find out.

Beyond the trees behind the ditch, she watches. They do not know she was standing there the whole time. She was just far enough away that they didn't search near her. The binoculars were up watching the scene unfold. She can't help but laugh at Agent Kenneth's reaction to her note. She knew he would like it. After they all left, the body is gone, any evidence they think they have is taken away. She walks down, the brush and grass not getting in her way. She lays a single red feather down where the body was found.

"They'll never catch me." She whispers to the wind, lighting up a cigarette as she walks away.
