Akbar...

A noble town, a peaceful town...

Yet, what of that now?

The people have suffered, their livelihood has been torn out of their hands. The merchants have left, some for richer lands and others for the streets of the city; they are running as fast as they can away from this disaster. The houses that were once filled with people have collapsed in on themselves; all that remains is ruins...

They are fleeing, the survivors of Akbar’s destruction.

It will be days before someone stops by, but eventually they do. A group of them, a man among them who bears the mark of nobility, his face covered in bandages and his clothes torn

It's divided into two parts, the north, and the west. The North consists mostly of men and the west consists of seventy percent of men.

The two parts both come together to build a civilization and they all lived happily, everything was peaceful, everything was normal, no fights, no war until.....

The armed men of the north attacked for the first wave, and the attack brought destruction upon the town, many lives were lost, and many years were shed, after the attack everyone thought that would be the end, but it wasn't.

They attacked the second time and this time they took more than many lives and abducted the children of many parents. These were the people who would be raised as part of the northern clans, a part of the family, but most never got the chance to see their parents alive again, or to feel love from someone.

And then they came. The second raid. They broke the walls and slaughtered the people in their homes while they slept. They killed their parents and stole their children, those that survived they were raised in slavery as a slave to the northern clans. Those that died the fate of slavery was worse. Many of the slaves had been taken into servitude when they were little, and some were forced to take over other families if they could not find work elsewhere.

But still there was so much death. There was so much grief that many couldn't bring themselves to look at each other anymore. Some hid their grief well behind anger and hatred.

When the northern army was defeated another group set out to claim the land once again.

The southern armies tried to stand and protect their lands, tried to fight back, but even with their best warriors they barely held off the invaders. They had fought so hard to make sure the southern soldiers didn't suffer so much. To make sure all of these innocent people wouldn't have to die to help their nation grow stronger, but all they did now was fall apart.

Some fled towards the south, to try and escape and hide, others went east. Some stayed north, to fight and defend, to try and stop the invaders from taking what was rightfully theirs.

Many of the northerners found the women and children. They raped them and sold them in the markets for food and shelter.

King Frederick, his majesty to the royal throne, decided of sending his soldiers and army to fight for their town every time the armed attacked again. But no matter how much they tried, it was of no use

He couldn't think straight any longer, he has no idea of what to do, every day he received letters from his people pleading for a solution to these problems

Eventually, he came to a decision, rather than sending more men to fight for the town, he will consult his ancestors for help...

* * * * * * *

It was at sunset when king Frederick sat comfortably on the throne at his sides two royal guards and in front of him, the chiefs of the town.

A meeting was called about the war going on in their town, they can't just sit and watch their people suffer.

"Your majesty, I think we should train our men even harder, we can just sit and watch them die as losers"

Chief Edward said at the right end of the seat.

"Losers!!"

A man yelled, it appears to be the royal adviser, Pa Elbert

"I'm afraid that's not possible" the king replied

Edward had already been planning this plan for years, now that he has seen the destruction done, he is willing to make sure that nothing goes wrong. This is how he will bring peace to the land, it will take time.

"You think you can do better, these men chose to volunteer and risk their lives just for this town's peace"

"I know that, but...

Chief Edward was interrupted

"But what, if you think these men risking their lives are pathetic, then why don't you let your son join them, since you brag about him a lot...

"HEY!!!!"

Chief Edward stood up angrily at his feet and pointed sternly at pa Elbert

"Don't you dare put my son in this matter, it's not my fault your son volunteered for this "

"Stop it you too, you are arguing in this midst of his majesty, don't you both have any respect"

Chief Ansel stood up and yelled at both of them

"Respect you say, you were one who brought the ideas of casting our men into the war, you were the one who told the parents of the town to let their son fight for our town right immediately they turn eighteen and you are here lecturing me about respect"

"Listen here, old man! Watch what you say, or else...

"Or else what, you are going to attack me with your pathetic daughters, I advise you to sell them before they disappoint you...

"HEYY!!"

Chief Ansel walked towards Edward and held his shirt tightly.

"Don't you dare talk about my daughters like that"

"Hey, you two, stop it, you are in the palace"

A man yelled from afar trying to separate them

"ENOUGH!!"

King Frederick yelled as he banged his staff hardly on the floor

Out of anger, he stood up and walked toward the chiefs.

Immediately all men in the room bowed before him, they all knew they have made the king very angry.

"I didn't make you guys my chiefs just to insult each other for crying out loud, we are dealing with a crisis here, I'm disappointed in you all"

His deep brown eyes communicated with them all

"We are sorry your majesty!!"

They all chorused still on their knees

"Chief Edward, I did expect this from you, you know very well that all these men except you made their sons fight for your town and you are here insulting them, you should be thanking them instead...

"I'm sorry your majesty"

"I have to punish you...

King Frederick and everyone in the room went silent

"Your majesty, I'm so sorry, I promise this won't happen again"

"You know very well that this isn't the first time that this is happening, insulting my chiefs, Insulting females of this town, what is your problem with girls of this town?"

"Your majesty...

"Your foot must not touch this palace or any royal meetings for two consecutive weeks"

"Your majesty... You can't do that to me

"Yes I can, you are lucky that I didn't fire you, I would have.........

...

"Your majesty!!!!!"

A voice interrupted his majesty as a maid came and bowed right before him

"Who dares interrupt me?"

King Frederick yelled as he stare at the maid

"Your majesty, I'm so sorry to interrupt but her highness"

She said and paused

"Andrey"

He whimpered

"Is my Queen okay?"

"Your Majesty, it's time for her to put to bed"

She said her head low

"What!!, You are all dismissed"

King Frederick's eyes widened as he beam in delight

"Call the midwives now!!"

He yelled and left the Chiefs running in his royal attire.

The news reached across the town, the whole town knew about the birth of the new heir, and everyone awaits the good news and hoped for the better of the town.

King Frederick abandoned all his plans just to make time for his Queen, this day is the time for his heir, he just hope she gives birth to a male child for him

"Your majesty, you know it's not right for you to stay here while she is giving birth"

One of the midwives

"Don't tell me that, I have to stay with her and hold my child"

King Frederick said

The nurse didn't argue with him, he is the king and he rule over her, she left the way and the king entered the room and stayed with the Queen

"Audrey, stay with me"

He held her hand staring at her face, she was weak, she was sweating...

Laying in the bed, the pain was clear on her face. She screamed every five seconds, hoping the baby would shoot out easily. Though, that wasn’t the case. Andrey tried breathing excuses as the midwife suggested, yet, still, the contractions continued to wear her down.

Then, it came. A gush of water came out of her body, causing Andrey, and His majesty to shriek.

“It’s time,” one of the midwives said.

"Your highness, I want to now to push"

And she listened… She pushed and pushed long and hard. An hour passed before they made progress. The head finally showed. To Audrey, the pain resembled a watermelon being pushed through a hole the size of a lemon.

Everyone hovered around her like wild animals. She needed space. She needed air. “Get this thing out of me!” she shouted, squeezing king Frederick's hand tightly. If the baby didn’t leave her body soon, she might faint.

Eventually, it came out, the blood on the body made it slippery for the midwife to pull out but Audrey gave one more push and the baby was out. Everyone gathered behind her, all holding hands, waiting. They were silent for a long time. Finally, Audrey raised her head up.

“Well?” someone asked.

The room burst with chatter. There were shouts from the crowd. A loud cheer erupted as everyone whooped in celebration. Some people were crying or hugging each other, others hugged themselves, others sat down in a circle and cried.

Audrey looked at the king next to her, his face was pale, he kept holding her hand.

“Are you hurt, my queen?” he whispered. Audrey took a shaky breath and nodded.

One of the midwives wrapped the baby with a towel and handed it over to the king

"She is here, your majesty"

One of the midwives said

"She? My wife gave birth to a girl"

He asked with disappointment

Before the midwife could answer, a scream was heard.

Audrey was in pain again like there was another one coming out of her.

"She's got another one"

The nurse said as the midwives hovered around the Queen again

"Another one?"

The king beamed with joy and hope for a male child this time

"There's another one coming out of me"

Audrey yelled holding her pain but the deeper she breathe, the more unbearable the pain gets

"Yes, I need you to push again"

"Again" the king asked as he stood next to the bed.

Audrey nodded trying hard not to cry

"One more, okay? You got it baby?"

King Frederick said while patting her back gently in reassurance that everything will be alright

The king helped Audrey with all the push until there was only a small head coming out from his stomach.

King Frederick handed over the child in his hands to one of the midwives in the room, his curiosity made him forget about the first daughter he had on his hands

This time, the second child came out freely and the child was wrapped and given to King Frederick

"Congratulations your majesty, the Queen gave birth to twins, both a girl and a boy"

The midwife said with a smile and the King rejoiced

"Thank the gods"

He said rocking his son and his daughter in both of his arms

"So, what do you want to name them your majesty"

King Frederick looked at his son's eyes and said.

"Adrian, Prince Adrian"

There was a loud silence in the room and everyone expected the king to say something else

"Your Majesty, what about your daughter? What are you going to name her?"

"Oh yeah..... I Will name her...

"Alexa"

The Queen interrupted

"I'll like to name my first child and daughter, Alexa, that's if you don't mind"

"Of course not, she is your child"

His majesty said and everyone beamed with joy
