"Don't lie to me!" He shouted in anger.
"Dad, I'm not lying." Before Dad could shout again, Mommy came to take him away. Only then did I finally feel comfortable that Mommy could calm him down. "Come up and get dressed." I nodded quickly at Mommy's command. I watched for a moment as Dad was about to enter the dining room.
"Thanks, Mom." I approached Mommy and kissed her on the cheek before I turned my back on her.
"Honey," I smiled as I looked back at Mommy. "At the dining. We'll wait for you." My smile faded at what she said. "But-" "No more buts, honey." Damn. I really have nothing to lose. Mommy even smiled before leaving me slumped on the shoulder.
