"Ami, will you stop walking in circles? I am starting to get dizzy of you!" My best friend, Jazree, said.
"I can't believe him! How could he do this to Mom?" I said. "She has been nothing but a good wife to him and this is how he repays her? How ungrateful!"
"Are you sure about this? I mean, where did you get this information?" She said. "For all we know, that could be fake news."
"Didn't you hear what I just said?" I said impatiently. I have been telling her the story a couple of times already.
"What? That your mom and dad fought and she said that your father has a mistress? Why? Did he admit it?" She said.
"That's not important," I said. "Besides, he didn't deny it and for me, silence means yes."
We were referring to the time when I overheard my parents fighting. Mom was insisting that Dad has an affair and I didn't hear Dad denied it. So I guess, what mom said was true; that Dad really has a mistress.
"Why don't you ask your Dad about that?" She said.
"Are you nuts? Do you think he'll admit it? Of course not! He would just deny it all he want." I said. "But he won't fool me.
"So what are you planning to do now?" She said. "I mean, are you planning on doing something about it?"
"Well, for a start, I need to know who that woman is and I'll make sure that she'll get what she deserves," I said with anger in my voice. "I will make her life a living hell and as long as she stays in contact with Dad, I won't give her peacefulness. I will make sure to do everything to make her go away."
"Oh you sounded like your old self; the young and spoiled daughter of one of the greatest businessmen in the city." She said. Clearly, she was just messing with me. "And I have a feeling that I won't like what you are about to do."
"I'm not, okay?" I said. "I just wanted to give my mom the justice that she deserves. I know my mom is kind and she might forgive Dad but I won't; not until I see his other woman."
"Alright, do whatever suits you well." She said as she shook her head. "But please think this thoroughly. You can't just go and look for that woman. You need to know first if what you think is true. It's your Dad, maybe you can just talk to him about it.
"Yeah, right," I said. As if my Dad would tell me the truth. He doesn't even like talking to me so what's the use of trying so hard to talk to him?
Starting today, I will be hunting for Dad's mistress and I won't stop until I find her. I won't let my Mom be left behind while Dad goes on in his life and screwing who is not even his wife.
