"Lao!!!" Yelled the Gunny

" Here Gunny!" Replied Danny. He was underneath the LAV-25 he was a member of the crew on checking out the suspension and other systems. When the Gunny burst in.

"Get your ass to the Co's office on the double!!!

"Aye-aye Gunny"

Inside Danny's head the wheels were working overtime "I wonder what's going on" he thought to himself. He got up and headed out doubletime

He was running as fast as he could to the CO's office

He reached to office barely out of breath, he stopped to square away his utilities and opened the door.

Entering a smaller office there was a Female Marine Corporal. Sitting behind the desk.

"I'm Corporal Lao the Major sent for me." He said

" Knock first the major is expecting you. " The female corporal said.

Danny walked up to the door, thinking that he bet she looks pretty hot in civies and knocked on the door to the Major's office

" Enter" came a gruff voice from the other side of the door.

Danny open the door marched in stopped in front of the desk at the position of attention

"CPL. Lao reporting as ordered sir!"

" At ease corporal." Said Major Hartford.

" Do you know a Esther Woo?" Asked the Major

" Yes Sir she is my aunt." Replied Danny

" Well I have here a Red Cross message from Mrs. Woo." Said the Major.

The Major handed Danny the Red Cross letter.

Daniel call me immediately something's happened in China.

Aunt Esther

"Thank you Sir." Danny said

"If you need anything son, once you talked to your Aunt come back and see me.." The Major said

"Your dismissed."

"Yes Sir. "

He did a about face and left the office once he was outside he took out his cell phone and dialed his aunt number.

"Hello?"

"Aunt Esther what's wrong?" Danny asked.

"It's your mom she has gone missing in China."

"What! Why was she back in China why didnt she call me and let me know?"

"Your grandmother is Ill and she went too visit her before she passed on. She didnt tell you because she figured you would try to stop her."

" Hell yeah I would've."

He was holding on to his phone in a death grip, he was angry, hurt, and frustrated that his mom the woman who left china when he was just a baby went back and now she was missing in China with no way to get hold of her

"Aunt Esther do you know anything else?"

" Come over and see me Danny we will talk in person. OK Bye Bye.
