We were all shocked, no one dared to move.
We were just looking at it.
“You must have gone nuts, Gerald,” Sandra said,
Gerald is in the corner, washing his hands with all his might. Trying to erase traces on his hands,
“Why would you do this? Were you not thinking straight?” Ferd angrily uttered at him.
I couldn’t move.
“Anna, please stop being so quiet and tell us what’s gonna happen now, you're always the one who tells us what to do,” Fritz uttered to me.
I looked at Gerald.
We have been friends since Day 1 and we promised each other, no one is going to be left behind. No matter what happens.
“We can still do the right thing. Do you remember what happened last night? Anything that you can recall at all?” I asked.
Gerald combed his hair with his hands.
“I can’t remember anything at all,” Gerald uttered.
My knees become weak upon hearing his answer.
“That’s because you did drugs again,” Sandra yelled at him.
I pressed my lips together.
“We have to depose it.”
Everyone turned their gaze at me, with their eyes wide open.
“What? Are you nuts?” Ferd uttered.
I looked at them.
“Do you have any more ideas rather than telling this to the authorities?” I replied.
Ferd returned his gaze into it.
"We can tell them we didn't do it. We'll get the best lawyers in the country," He said.
Fritz chuckled.
"You must be stupid, have you forgotten we are all known elites, your parents are in politics. This issue will bring your father's ratings down in the Senate, are you ready for that?" Fritz yelled.
Ferd gripped on his hair, he looks so frustrated right now.
“I can’t go to jail, we’re about to graduate, to be successful. I won’t go down because of this.” Fritz said.
Sandra stomped her feet.
"I hate to say this but Fritz is right, I didn't study for years just to end up being in jail."
“Then it’s settled,” I said and prepared for something I never imagined I'd do in my whole life.
That night we did something we shouldn’t have.
We buried it along with everything, but the past seems to have caught with us.
It’s hunting us down.
