Ardent rests on her window sill. It is night time in Eidel. Everybody are indoors. Ardent could hear uproaring laughter coming from her neighbor's house. She let out a tear.
Ardent missed her mom so bad. It has been a month since her mother's disappearance. A tragic month in Ardent's life. Her grades were dropping. She couldn't concentrate on her school work anymore, she missed her mom so bad.
She missed her mum's cooking, her gentle touch and warm kisses. But Ardent is tired, tired of searching and hoping for her mum's return.
Ardent stares at the sky.she could see the broom shaped cloud everyone seemed to speak about in school. Eidel is really an eerie town. Different strange creatures had been sighted at specific locations in Eidel.
Ardent could hear the howling of a wolf. Ardent could feel the loneliness in the wolf's howl. Ardent could say this is how she felt. A feeling of lonliness had dented her life since her mother's disappearance.
Ardent grabs her pink blanket trying to close her eyes, hoping to fall asleep slowly.Ardent always made a wish before going to bed for the past one month. She always wished all her life was a nightmare and that when she awakens all she will wake up from them. She wished to hear her mother bang her room door waking her up from school. She wished her mother would return just in time for her eighteenth birthday celebration.

Ardent's room door creaks. A figure enters Ardent's room heading to Ardent who asleep.
Ardent gasps struggling to make a sound as the figure covers her mouth
" Shhhhhhhhhhh" the figure says trying to get Ardent keep quiet.
Ardent quickly reach for her bedside lamp switching it on.
Ardent couldn't believe her eyes.
It was her mother.
Ardent reach for her ebony cheek.
Martha smiles. She is happy to see her daughter. Martha quickly rush to close the room door and its curtains.Ardent could see that her mother was afraid of something
" Mom I missed you" Ardent says breaking down. Ardent adjusts her hair. She stands up heading up to Martha.
" I missed you to honey, but now isn't the time to talk we need to exit this realm" Martha says rushing under Ardent's bed.Martha drags out a large box which is dusty.
Ardent stares at her mother in total surprise.she was surprised at her mother's attitude. Ardent couldn't seem to understand her mother's attitude. Ardent had missed her for the past one month and now she seem not to care. Ardent stares at the dusty box
Ardent couldn't believe that such a material was in her room and under her bed.
Martha unlocks the box quickly bringing out an old book.
Ardent gasps as she is surprised. The book had just opened itself and flipped it's pages. Was it a sort of technology she couldn't fathom.
" Hold my hands" Martha says to Ardent as she stretch forth both her hands.
Ardent is confused. She stretch her hands forward holding Martha.
" Repeat after me" Martha commands. She close her eyes and begins to chants.
" Separation, death, and break-up all tragic"
" Sequence, numbers and time all logic"
" Take us now to the realm of magic"
Martha says then Ardent repeats the words carefully
Just then Ardent could feel herself getting lighter Ardent opens her eyes she sees her hands disappearing.
Ardent stares around. She is in a dark room. Ardent is scared. She could feel the chill feeling in this location.
Ardent could see little sparks of light emanating from the open space around a door in front of her. Ardent could see cracks and fissures on the room walls. Ardent quickly opens the room door. An almost blinding white light strikes Ardent's eyes. Ardent covers her eyes with both her hands.
The lights gets dimmer as Ardent advances. Ardent opens her eyes and is amazed. The sight of something magical. Ardent sights beautiful trees and statues which seem to be alive. Ardent could hear the tree gossipingand birds singing their sweetest Melody. Squirrels junp from trees to tree and many other creatures reside on the multitudes of this lively trees. Three ladies all dressed in a large ancient gown pass by. They seem too busy.
Ardent moves to a closeby fountain. It spilled out crystal like waters. Ardent could see her reflection. She could see her ever perfect facial structure. Her blonde hair flowing graciously. Her blue eyes reminds Ardent her mum. Ardent tries to smile. Her face seems pale.
Ardent touch her lips which are very soft.
Just then the environment begins to transform.
Ardent finds herself in a new location. The tree had disappeared. The fountains, birds and squirrels had disappeared.
Ardent could hear screams. She turns she sights herself in a large hall. The hall is ablaze. Ardent is petrified by the sight of burning individuals. A Raven screeches, Ardent turns to her left. She sights a man who seems to be in his sixties. Ardent sights a scar on his left ear. Ardent screams someone had grabbed her feet. It was a woman. The woman hisses like a serpent. Ardent struggles to free herself from the woman's grip. The loud sound from a clock is heard. The time just struck twelve midnight. The Ravens screams get louder. Ardent screams loudly as she is in torment.
Ardent opens her eyes. It had been a dream.
Ardent alights her bed. She switch's on her bedside lamp and then checks the time. Ardent pauses. She moves under her bed as she wishes to confirm the falseness of her dream. Ardent stretch her left hand searching for the box which she had seen in her dream. Ardent touches a box like object. Ardent slowly drags it out. She is shocked.
It is exactly the same as the box in her dream.
Just at the moment Ardent feel a figure unlock her room door entering the room. Ardent turns. She pauses in shock. She couldn't believe her eyes
" Mum" Ardent says rushing to hug a lady who is in her late thirties.
