Chapter 1

Trekshire University

One of the popular university in the whole Southwest part of Pine City. This is were Sharenne Marshall was studying.

She was already a stunner since she was young Everyone especially in their neighborhood would always tell her that she is beautiful, and that would illicit a cheeky smile on her. She loves to hear being praised as beautiful.

All these were implanted in her mind. She's quite a beauty! She can be Miss Universe with her outstanding looks.

Then, one day, a family started to live in one of the villas across theirs.

“Mom, I think the villa across ours was already occupied.” Sharenne told her mom when she noticed that all the lights inside it were on. She can even hear a sound of music though it was not clear for her to hear.

“Yeah, I noticed that, too.” Her mom replied.

“Well at least we have a neighbor now.” She added. Then she closed the window and draws the curtains. She is ready now to go to sleep. She had a class tomorrow.

The Castillanos

Due to the fact that the family business faced a setback they need to go back to Pine City as soon as possible. Drexler was only in his junior high. But he needed to go with his parents too, and that would also mean, he needs to transfer school.

At the age of 15 he already possessed a striking personality. He is handsome and smart. But being new to this place he doesn’t know how to cope with his present environment especially to his new school.

“Tomorrow was my first day to go to school. Phew! Another new adjustment.” He mused as he looked at the ceiling. He cannot sleep. He was restless in his bed.

He was bothered by the things that could happen to him in his new school. He is smart, but can he keep up with the way they do things here?

“ I can do it!” Then he closed his eyes until he finally felt drowsy and fell into a deep sleep.

The next morning he got up early and fix himself. He is excited to see his new school and his new classmates.

Her mom called a cab for him, since they hadn’t bought a new car yet. They had just arrived yesterday.

As the cab pulled near the gate of the university he alighted immediately.

Then another car pulled up behind the cab that he was riding.

A beautiful girl get off at the passenger side of the car. And...

She was eating a lollipop.

Sharenne upon sensing that someone is looking at her she looked for that particular person.

Drexler was already done assessing her.

“How strange! This girl. Why am I drawn to her?” he asked himself. She even act like a kid. Seriously? She ate lollipop with her age and height?” he quipped.

Then his mouth twist in a smile and his eyebrows raising. He greeted Sharenne and asked for her name.

“Hi! Drex. What’s yours?” He extended his hands afterwards for a handshake.

But Sharenne merely frowned at him. “Are you talking to me?” Pointing to herself while frowning.

“Yeah.” Drexler replied feeling a little bit embarrassed yet he still smiled at her.

“I am new here. So I think we can be friends?” He added tentatively.

“ Oh but I don’t talk to stranger either. So goodbye. I will be late for my class.” She replied sarcastically.

She just turned around and started to walk without looking back at Drexler.

“ Damn!” But she’s beautiful especially when she’s angry.

“ Does she dislike me?” Drexler really wondered. He shook his head and watched Sharenne’s back.

“This is just my first day and I got this kind of treatment. What a bad day!"
