"Miss Maxwell, have you really thought it through? Mr. Collins is disabled and can't have sex. Marrying him is no different from living a life of widow."

The lawyer had reminded Janetta Maxwell of this fact more than once.

Janetta gritted her teeth and a hint of determination flashed in her eyes.

"I've already thought it through. Please give me the agreement."

Her mother was seriously ill, her father was addicted to drinking and gamble, and her sister did nothing every day. Even her relatives had hit her when she was down.

She had no other choice but to do so.

"Miss Maxwell, this is all the contents of the agreement. Please have a look. If there is no problem, please sign it."

The lawyer pushed a thick document to Janetta.

Janetta closed her eyes and calmed her disordered breathing. Then, she took over the agreement and read it page by page.

Ten minutes later, Janetta put down the agreement, picked up the signature pen on the table, and signed her name as the second party.

Her handwriting was pretty and clean, just like her. Although she was not particularly stunning, she had a unique temperament, making people feel that she was gentle and easy-going.

"I've signed it..."

Janetta finished signing her name on the agreement and paused for a moment. Finally, she put down the pen and said softly.

Looking at her own name on the agreement, Janetta was in a trance.

Soon, she would get married. And her future husband was a man who couldn't have sex...

"Miss Maxwell, this is a check. Please keep it."

The lawyer took the agreement away, and then handed a check to Janetta with a serious look. Behind the gold-framed glasses on the bridge of his nose, there was a flash of light in his narrowed eyes.

"Thank you."

Janetta took the check, lowered her head, and gently rubbed the corner of the check with her fair and tender fingers.

She heaved a sigh of relief in her heart.

"Mother will survive..."

......

Three days later.

A black motorcade slowly stopped in front of an old building. The doors opened, and more than a dozen men in suits and leather shoes and sunglasses came out of cars in good order. Then one of them trotted to the second car, bent down and opened the door respectfully.

A pedal was automatically put down from the car, and a man in a wheelchair slowly got out of the car.

All the scenery in the world lost all its colors in an instant.

Janetta stood on the balcony upstairs and stared blankly at the man who got out of the car downstairs.

She didn't know how to describe the man's appearance. His eyebrows and pupils were dark, his nose was tall and straight, and his thin lips were slightly closed. He seemed to be aloof.

His face was so handsome and it was perfect like a fine sculpture.

But it was a pity that such a handsome man was unsound.

Because he was sitting in a wheelchair.

The man downstairs seemed to notice Janetta's gaze. He looked up abruptly, and looked into Janetta's eyes. His gaze was surprisingly gloomy.

Janetta trembled slightly as if she had been struck by an electric shock. Then she immediately came to her senses and subconsciously avoided the man's sight.

When she looked over again, the man had already moved his gaze away. The man who dressed like a bodyguard next to him bowed respectfully, as if he was talking something.

The man raised his hand slightly and stopped the bodyguard from continuing. Then he pushed the wheelchair to the building.

The expression on his face was still indifferent. It seemed that the eye-contact between him and Janetta just now was just Janetta's illusion.

Janetta stood on the balcony in a daze. The man had already disappeared, but she was still staring blankly at the place where the man had passed by.

This was the first time for her to forget herself in face of a man.

"Tok-tok-tok"

Suddenly, there was a rhythmic sound of knocking on the door. Janetta tilted her head in confusion, then turned around and walked to the living room.

It seemed that it was not the time to pay the rent. How could someone knock on the door outside?

Janetta walked to the door and opened it. But when she saw a pair of deep black eyes, she was stunned again.

Because the person outside her room was the one she saw just now!

"Janetta Maxwell?"

The man stared straight at Janetta with his black eyes. His thin lips were slightly lifted and he asked with a slight inquiry but more coldness in his tone.

"Yes, I am Janetta Maxwell. May I ask what can I do for you, sir?"

Janetta stood at the door in a daze, a little at a loss.

She didn't know this man at all...

"You signed the agreement three days ago. Did you forget about it so quickly?"

The man's slender fingers lightly knocked on the wheelchair armrest. He obviously did not use a lot of force and the sound was particularly low.

But when Janetta heard it, she inexplicably felt an extremely strong sense of oppression, which made her panic.

"Three days ago?"

After being reminded by the man, Janetta seemed to suddenly think of something. She opened her eyes slightly and stared at the man in disbelief.

"You... you... you are..."

"Aiden Collins."

When Aiden saw Janetta stammering and unable to say his name, he could not help frowning slightly and said his own name in a cold voice.

Janetta's brain suddenly went blank. Staring at Aiden's perfect face, she stupidly asked a question.

"Mr... Mr. Collins, what... what can I do for you?"

As soon as Janetta finished speaking, the atmosphere around suddenly became tense. Aiden's eyes were as cold as a icy pool, and his tone was also indifferent.

"Do you want to break the contract?"

A great sense of oppression suddenly came from Aiden. Janetta's brain stopped working again, and then she realized what a stupid question she had just asked.

What else could she do for Aiden?

He had clearly said that it was because of the agreement three days ago.

But Janetta actually asked what she could fo for Aiden!

"I'm sorry, Mr. Collins. I didn't think of breaking the contract. I was just..."

"Then let's go."

Before Janetta could finish her apology, she was interrupted by the man, and she couldn't keep up with him.

"Where are we going?"

"The Registry Office."

The man turned around the wheelchair and turned his back to Janetta. The bodyguard next to Aiden came forward and made a gesture of invitation to Janetta.

"Miss Maxwell, please."

Janetta was dumbfounded.

The moment she signed the agreement, she knew that she would marry a man named Aiden Collins in the future.

But she didn't expect that this day would come so fast.

Janetta pinched the corner of her clothes at a loss. Then, she calmed herself down and said to Aiden.

"Please wait for a moment. I'll get my certificate..."

After Janetta finished speaking, she turned around and ran back to the bedroom.

Her cheeks flushed and she felt they were hot.

She had thought that she was going to marry a frail and defective man who was in low spirits.

However, she did not expect that Aiden, though physically challenged, would have an innate nobleness and elegance in his every movement.
