"You are a good for nothing man, why are you always our problem ? Your mates are rich and what are you — " a woman yelled at her husband.That was Aria's mother Judy, arguing with her father Frank.This happens almost everyday cos they are stinkingly poor as shit and If asked whom to stand by, it would be her dad.
She calls him Goofy cos he makes her laugh whenever she's sad but her mom, she's not even close to her at all like a mother and daughter do. You could call her problematic too.
A knock came on door as Aria went to the door and opened it.
" Is this the Millers? "
" yes"Aria responded looking at the man at the door with utmost confusion. " I've got a letter for the daughter of the house Aria Miller" the man at the door said looking around the house. Probably, he just noticed the house background was a mess and slum like.
" I'm the Aria"She said, took the envelope, signed and shut the door on the man's face. She tore the envelope open and read the letter in it. It was from SHELLS company. Finally, she's gotten a job! She danced and sang in joy as her angry mother came to her" And why are you happy? " she asked furiously." I got the job at SHELLS"
Judy ignored her and picked a bottle of water. "Ain't you happy?"Aria was forced to ask as the woman really didn't care one bit, who does that?. She sighed in disappointment and went to her goofy.He was sitting on his bed, face buried in his palms." goofy" she called as he looked up, his eyes red." Don't mind mom"she said in a low tone.
" It's OK" Frank said as Aria sat beside him" she's right, I'm useless "
" No goofy. it's difficult for you that's it! Don't put her words to heart "
" I have had enough darling "
" what's that supposed to mean? "Aria asked shocked as cold chills ran down her spine.
"She wants a divorce"
"C'mon goofy. I won't let that happen Don't you love your wife? I'm here with you. Look I got a job at SHELLS"
"Congratulations dear! But I have no money to throw a party actually" he said and frowned sadly as she melted and hugged him. He was her dad, her companion, her goofy and her best friend. She would never let her mom succed even though she has her suspicions,her mom's seeing someone else. Frank looked at her teary eyes, was he going to leave his daughter in the name of divorce.She's his world, always beside him even though he wanted Judy to be like the wife he wedded years back. The woman he had said his vows to. But it wouldn't be like before again for she's only harbored hatred for him
"Goofy, you don't need to throw a party, I will take you out with my first pay"Aria said as Frank patted her head.
"I would love that too. Go on now, you need to prepare and sleep early for your first day at work tomorrow "
Aria realized that and chuckled as she left the room

No one has seen the CEO of SHELLS before since his manager have been managing his position for a long time now but rumors had it that he's a demon. Such rumors!
Just because he's cold hearted and with a cold personality. He wasn't like that before but his ugly past changed him. No one knows his past except his late single dad and the one that made his past sour.Today he would be coming to take over as the CEO he is but the workers are super scared and trying hard not to imagine what he would look like.
What if he's ugly like a demon or a real life devil.No one has seen the devil but he might be the devil so they thought. Even the press arrived to see the rumored demon. Aria arrived as well unaware of the sudden gathering and shoved her way through the crowd before she went to the manager's office." Good morning sir"She greeted and bowed.
" Oh Aria! I see you are early as promised but you need to know something" the man muttered making her grip her skirt in fear. It better not be or she would kill herself.
"What sir?" she asked afraid she would loose her job."The CEO is arriving today"
"But.."
"No,I was just his manager but I have an advice for you. Never tell him you are poor or he will sack you"
"OK but what if he asks?" Aria asked looking perplexed and her forehead sweaty.
"Lie to him"the man advised and called a worker to lead Aria to her office. She wowed at the large spacious office and sat on the high mesh chair in her office. She's gonna be a good secretary! She thought and smiled.

Judy took her hand bag after dressing up beautiful than ever.Frank knew where she was going to, her new man's house.Maybe Aria was right about the question.
".... Don't you love your wife?" He remembered and blocked her path." I won't watch you go to him today " he began.
"That was then! You are a pauper now and I no longer take orders from you. Be a man you couldn't. I shouldn't waste my time here. Move aside Larry is waiting for me"
"At least for your daughter's sake"
"I rather be dead than do your wishes. I can no longer lead your life of poverty. It sucks and besides Larry is much more capable than you are"
She said and left immediately as he sank in the tattered couch.
His life was a mess, he knew that and it can't be fixed. He has lost Judy forever. He concluded.
Meanwhile, the rumored CEO was in the plane.The plane will land soon and he will have to assume his position.
"Boss, your old house was reconstructed just the way you wanted it." The lady with him said as he nodded
"I hope it has a code door"He asked as the lady nodded
"Are you now dumb? Answer with your mouth" he yelled as she became scared of loosing her job.
"yes sir it has a code door"she answered as he dismissed her.He closed his laptop and sipped his juice before his pilot announced the landing time.
Some minutes later, the plane landed as as he came out, no press media. It was good they obeyed him. He wanted a press free welcome. His chauffeur arrived and drove him to his company and there as he alighted, the crowd swarm around him.This was crazy!
"Whoa! You are so handsome" a female reporter commented.
"wasn't he supposed to be ugly as a demon?"A man in the crowd asked as he ignored them and got in.Some workers moved aside but a girl bumped into him.She was Aria!
"Why's there a clumsy girl here?" He yelled as Aria frowned
"And why's there an arrogant idiot here? Humph! You don't have the right to insult me" yelled Aria
"Excuse me Miss Aria, he's the CEO" Someone said as her heart skipped
"I've lost my job" she thought and looked at his daring cold eyes.
