Chapter 1

"oh, god, i'm gonna be late, i have to hurry up or Alex will kill me...." i said

i lived in a dorm which was on the other side of the town...from the restaurant where i was working, my day was usually busy, cause i had classes whole day and then i'd go to work. i couldn't afford to lose my job, cause that was how i pay for my studies......

"is that my phone ringing?" i said and picked my phone

"hey, are you late again?!" Alex said

"hey, Alex! i'll be there in 5 tops, don't worry" i said

"okay, but that actually wasn't why i called you" she said

"oh, okay. What is it then?" i said

"i wanted to give you heads up about a last minute reservation in the restaurant, its a birthday, so it will be a long night" she said

"shoot....i don't know for how much longer i'm gonna be able to do this, Alex....." i said

"i know, honey..But you don't really had a choice. So, collect all the  strength there is in you and come to the restaurant already" she said

"fine..i'll be right there" i said

we hung up and i practically started running to the restaurant i wasn't looking when i was going, i was still looking at my phone and texting, when somebody bumped into me so hard that i dropped my phone and fell down

"oh, i'm so sorry"  a man said, i looked up and saw a  tall man, blue eyes with perfect shaped lips 

"what the hell? Are you blind?" i said

"are you hurt?, here, give me your hand." he said

The second his finger touched my skin, i felt electricity run through my body. There was something strangely mysterious about that guy and i was yet to discover what gave me that impression. our eyes met while he was pulling me up. and it felt like the time had stopped.

"no i'm not hurt, thank for asking But i'm not sure about my phone" i said

"let me see" he reached for my phone which was still on the ground and saw a huge crack across the screen

"oh no this is bad....., i'm taking you to some shop right away to get this fixed" he said

"no way, i don't have time for that now, i'm late for work" i said

"But i feel completely responsible for this, i should have been more careful, i'm sorry" he said

"it doesn't matter. what matters right now is that i get to work on time, nothing else." i said 

"let me at least give you a ride" he said

"is this guy for real? i don't even know him.......But he looks like he's an honest guy plus he looks like he has tons of money " i said to my self

"come on, its the least i can do " he said

"sure, thanks for the offer, i just hope you won't get my kidney and leave me somewhere in the woods" i said

"haha! Don't worry,  I'm the nicest guy in the world, I promise....But is refreshing that you actually don't have a clue who I am " he said

"why should I know who you are?" I said

"it doesn't mater.. Let me cherish this momement " he said

"you're so weird" I said

"haha! And your painfully honest,  which is adorable...my name is Christian, by the way" Christian said

"I'm Avani tony" I said

"it's nice to meet you,  Avani tony" Christian said

"likewise, Christian" I said

He winked at me and gave me the cutest smile in the world, I had to admit he was really charming.

"shall web My car is right over there" he said pointing at his car

"sure, just hurry up,  please.  I'm really getting nervous here" I said

" don't worry, mark is a great driver" Christian said

"Mark? " I asked

"yeah,  is my driver and my faithful companion during tragic jams" he said

" wow, you have a personal driver." I said

"I hope you don't think less of me now you know that" he said

" well, I still don't know what to think..... I don't even know you " I said

"we could easily change that....." he brushed my hair away from my skin,  touching my skin in the process...i felt goosebumbs and couldn't help but smile.

"you're really something else.... But there is no time for that now" I said

"right...your beauty is so mesmerizing....that I keep forgetting you're in a rush...lets go" he said

He opened the car door for me like a real gentleman....soon after that we came to the restaurant. I rushed out of the car behind he had a choice to say anything.....i felt that I would've lost of all control if I'd spent one minute more with him...he was that gorgeous, I got to the restaurant as fast as I could without looking back....

RESTAURANT

I found Alex taking a break in the alley behind the restaurant....it was our place for catching up during the day....and taking a breather from work

"oh, Avani, you're here.  Right on time" Alex said

"yeah,  I got lucky this time... " I said

" you really need to slow down a bit, I know you have classes, but you will collapse soon if you continue burning yourself out" Alex said

" I thought about that too, but you know I have to pay for college on my own....i don't wanna burden my parents even more.." I said

" yeah,  I know, but you don't need that many classes,  come on" she said

"I'll think about it " I said

I was getting ready to start my shift... That became the only time when I could talk to Alex, she was my best friend but I had so much going on....that was when my phone rang,  I got a text from a classmate

"oh, no.... This is not good,  Alex not good at all... "

"what happened, dear? " she said

"they will increase the tuition fee at the college for the next semester.." I said

"oh,  no am so sorry avani" she said and held me

"never mind,  do you want cofee" I said

"no,  I have a lot of work to do.....so, can I count on you for friday?" she said

"which party" I asked

" you forget, charity party"she said

"oh.. I remember.. "

"now let's work" I said

" sure, beside some big billionaire is celebrating is birthday here" she said

"oh them we have to be at the top of our game" I said

I was in the kitchen when the birthday guest came, I was peeking through the small window, hoping to see who the birthday boy was....and I saw him getting presents from the people around him..

"it's Christian!" I said

" yeah!  How do you know his name?, " Alex asked

"I met him like an hour ago on my way to work"

I told Meg what happened between me and Christian

"wow, I can't believe it! You and Christian lopez.... Oh I can see spark in your eyes...you like him...¡" Alex said

"come on,  Alex..... Obviously everybody like him..... " I said

"oh,  yeah. Not only is he loaded, by also handsome. Out of this world" Alex bragged about him

"you're drooling, alex"  I said

" stop mocking me, but I wouldn't mind a piece of that beauty,  you know" Alex said

"I know" I bragged
