Moving from one state to another will never be a new thing and changing schools is something i call "my hobby". My name is ruby, i am a native of Udi, in Enugu state. I grew up in Rivers state, blah blah blah.......all these was what my guardians instructed me to say, whenever my teacher tells me to introduce myself to the class. I knew i would never stay in any school for a long time, but this school, unknowingly to me, was the first to break such beliefs. My guardians knew i never liked talking much, i just loved being on my own.....even my true identity is a lie. They always make me tell lies, but nevertheless, i'll still keep calm, till i find true friends. No one has ever been nice to me, all they do is talk bad things about me. They say my parents were bad people and that's the reason i was born invisible. They could feel me on my cradle, but i wasn't physical, wasn't visible to see. They couldn't even tell if i was a girl or boy, mom never wanted an ultra sound test or any form of scan, for she wanted joy to fill her heart when she beholds her child and carries him/her in her arms, close to her bosoms...indeed, that joy, that feeling of being safe in a mother's arm is expressionless. I felt this so much love and care for a little while, for mother never reciprocated that passion. All i felt more was fear, sadness and pain. Not until my 18th birthday did i discover where i was born, soon afterwards, i lost every connection to my biological parents.

Ruby's POV

"So finally i would be in a school till whenever i'm done, hmmmmm, very strange, but why does Gerald feel more safer than usual. The man i know would never spend a month at a specific region, well whatever his reasons are.....i'm sure to find out.

Now all i gotta do is walk into this building, infact, what the hell of a name!!, why name a school Brainville!!, i mean....does that even sound reasonable? Gosh!!, i feel like tearing down the entire building already.......look at all these students...."

Before i could finalize my thoughts concerning the disgusting school, some girls interrrupted, typically, three girls, a set of twins alongside a single one....

Girls: Hi

Me: Yh, hi, can i help u?

First girl: Hi, my name's Doris, my friends are Isabella and Mirabella.

Me: Okay, pleased to meet u guys, so what's up?

Doris:

smiling in a flirty way

Isabella: We just wanna know where the freshers' class is being held.

Me: Honestly, i'm a fresher too, i am quite not sure about this though but i think it's written on the board over there, right in front of the director's office.

Mirabella: Yh, i think so too. Why don't we all check it out.

Doris and i: Yh, let's go then. Jinx!!,we said sqme thing....we did it again...

Me: Okay, that's enough...school stuff...

After we've made enquires, we finally found our class...It was so quiet, it was none like the other schools i've been to..Miraculously, the teachers never mandated us to introduce ourselves, so all we had to do was find an empty desk, make it ours and feel comfortable. What i came to realize at the end of class sessions was the that i was called 'the new girl', despite the fact that i wasn't the only new girl admitted in school today. It seems to be that this title will be my identity till i decide to turn the tables around. School activities was a load of work....all i wished with every minute that passes, is that the day should please just come to an end already.
