Werewolf

Introduction
Lobo is spanish for wolf, thusly the Lobo Nation is the Wolf Nation. For years the human race and Lobo Nation have been at war, with humans having the upper hand in numbers. With Lobo numbers dwindling, they retreated to hiding in small villages on the outskirts of Estragee, the lands owned by the Hellings family. Chief Pike Cross, is the Head Chief of all the Lobo Nation villages. His daughter, Bexley Cross, is unlike another woman in the Lobo Nation. She hungers to be the Chief herself but knows she will never be accepted as a leader. One day her world is turned upside down when humans attack their village and destroy everything she knows. The King's son, Jasper Hellings, takes her as his prisoner, she has no idea what destiny has in store for her. A twist of fate is about to take place and trust me you want to be a part of it. "People have trouble taking orders from people, but no one argues with destiny." - King Andrew Hellings

Chapter

Years ago, so long ago I’m not sure it’s worth noting the date. Other than to say it was far past the memory of any human alive today. A young lady of no particularly high standing rose up and changed the world around her. Finding herself in an opportunity she never imagined possible. It might also be worth mentioning that she wasn’t a regular young lady, she was part of a group of beings known as the Lobo nation.

These beings are something like a modern day werewolf, only to the avail that they have control over their inner wolf. They live in secret as their existence is revered by the rest of human kind. In fact, they aren’t even seen as part of the same race. That’s why they have their own title, not to mention a whole slue of slurs to go with them.

Say that five times fast.

As I have been informed, the two races once got along very well. However, relationships soured and the truce they once had faded like the waning light of the harvest sun. The nations are now at war, so to speak. But not the type of war we might typically think of. More a peaceful one as the numbers of Lobo Nation now dwindle to far and few between.

In fact, in the land of Estragee there only remains three Lobo villages in their forests. The largest of these being Phala, where the Head chief of all lives. Of course, not to the knowledge of human kind. Thankfully.

Now, that young lady I spoke of earlier. She is the Head Chief’s Daughter. I know I said she wasn’t of any particularly high standing, but in the eyes of humans she isn’t. Especially since she is forced to conceal herself from the world. No one can hold power when they are forced into the shadows, but sometimes that is where destiny will find you. And when destiny comes calling, you can’t easily ignore her.

Now I should warn you. This story is not for the light of heart or those easily disturbed so if you’d like to close the book and move on with your day, I would patiently understand. Remember I am the keeper of this story so I know how it will turn out, but you have yet to discover. I will allow you a moment to decide what you would like to do with this information.

For those of you that stayed, I thank you for your patience. Now back to my explanation, this story is about that Chief’s daughter and her date with destiny. Unfortunately, I can’t say too much more without telling you everything as this story is one of my favourites to recount.

Although I can say that there is a little love in her future as well the gaining of some well deserved power. The kind she always dreamed over but never thought she’d ever achieve. Unfortunately, I can’t say much more without spoiling the plot. So if you please, turn the page and enjoy my telling of the story of Bexley Cross of the Lobo Nation.
