Chapter ONE
There wasn't traffic in Asokoro Abuja unlike the Asokoro I know.i was going through a fashion magazine ,when my driver turned to the back seat and asked ; madam, should I stop at the first gate or the second gate of the boutique, I ignored him because I felt it was a stupid question. The car stopped , I waited for the driver to come down and open the back seat door for me , I gave him a mean look ,got down from the car. As I turned to my right, I saw a dark tall handsome guy, dressed in a white t- shirt and a blue jeans, I couldn't keep my eyes away from his lips, he smiled at me and my heart skipped a beat, he started walking towards me as he said helloo! , I started vibrating like an old blender, then I woke up. I was angry , someone interrupted my best dream.
It was my phone that was vibrating, I was angry who interrupted, I checked my missed call list, I saw seven missed calls, it was my friend Binyelum ,she should better call back because I have no airtime, I am so broke, my account is zero naira, I have been trekking to work for a week now , I spend all my salary trying to meet up with the latest fashion, I cannot be behind never, I fix expensive hair, wear expensive clothes, shoes, expensive phone and jewelleries but no food in my house , most times I starve to bed, guess it's the prize u pay to look good and am ready to pay,i get a serious headache, when I see someone looking better than I do or when a person has what I don't have.Binyelum
ozoemena and I have been friends since university days;both of us went to university of Benin,Edo state .she studied chemistry ,while I studied French. We were roommates, her father is a wealthy man, she is the only daughter and the first child, light in complexion, average height and beautiful in her own way because I believe I am more beautiful than she is.
Eyinnaya Ihedimma ,her husband was her first and only love, what a boring life if you ask me, dating one man all your life. They met in the chemistry laboratory, average height guy, dark in complexion with a fat nose that announces his presence when he walks into a room, I wondered what she saw In him, to me he was ugly, no argument .He disturbed her like crazy before she agreed to date him and when she agreed, she fell with no parachute to the point that she could not let go no matter what happens. She talks about him , I smile and act as if I am listening and praying silently she shuts up. I was dating Dike uwakwe .Dike ,tall, handsome, light skinned. We met at a party and woke up on his bed in the morning. After that night, we started dating, although I received weekly beating from his so called girlfriend chimzuru and her female friends, the beating didn't stop me from seeing Dike, although I sometimes ended up in the university clinic and I had Binyelum my side, she advised me to leave dike for my peace of mind, I refused .it even made me hold on to him as if my life depended on him ,got use to the beating, that I didn't need any pain killers anymore. We broke up final year at the university because he was to travel abroad for his masters, I don't do long distance relationship, I need to see the guys I date every week wonder where he is now?i don't mind if he comes back to me, he was very generous.

ozoemena got married immediately after we graduated, he was not confident enough to compete with other guys in the real world ,that’s how I saw it but my friend didn't see it that way, I was her chief brides maid and the godmother of their twins.
