NIGHT OF TERROR

　　There was no one inside Rose's house. She is the only one left of them now. Her parents were away because they left early to work in their office.

　　Rose was unaware that it was midnight because she was a little blind child.

　　Her only hope was to pray and carrying her doll, she looked out the window and prayed fervently.

　　"I hope I can see them again. I hope I can see them again. I hope I am not alone here at home forever. I hope..." Rose just prayed until she realized that the window in front of her had opened.

　　She immediately trembled when a very cold wind blew in. She quickly wrapped a blanket around her body because of the cold she was feeling.

　　She sees no light or even a glimmer of light. For her, she was living with a world that's full of darkness because of her disability.

　　"Mommy.. Daddy.." Rose cried as she hugged herself on top of her bed.

　　She had been waiting for her parents to arrive. But none of their shadows came.

　　She did not want to end in despair so she prayed.

　　Soon, she suddenly heard a loud bang from their kitchen.

　　Her body hair immediately stood on end for fear that a thief might got entered their house.

　　Her heart was pounding when she heard a series of loud footsteps running outside her room.

　　It was as if she was being played inside their house because she was only alone there.

　　"Mommy! Daddy!" She could not help but to scream in fear when a loud fall echoed across her room.

　　They are near!

　　"Help! Open the door! Help! Help us!" After a while she was startled by the voice she heard from outside her door. The weird noise coming outside tries to open the door to Rose's room. She can hear the loud knocks in front of her door that rang out from there.

　　Whatever she did, covering her ears did not work so that it would not be heard.

　　'Ahhhhh! I don't want to!'

　　Her crying got louder because of the series of noises that were happening inside their house.

　　Until....

　　She just woke up to the sound of the ambulance outside. Everything is just a dream. She was suddenly scared so she crawled to her side to find her doll.

　　"Mommy? Daddy?" She called and she got up quickly to follow the noise of the ambulance coming from outside.

　　She feels to this day that she is still alone inside their house. That way, her parents still can't come home until now!

　　"Mommy? Daddy? Where are you?" She suddenly burst into tears when she could not hear an answer from her parents.

　　All she could hear were her own footsteps running everywhere inside their house.

　　As the time goes on, the ambulance noise gets louder and louder. Until she was suddenly startled by the sudden shout.

　　"Ronaldo! My son! Why did you die?! Ronaldo!" A woman's voice shouted outside their house.

　　She hears the flash noises of the cameras outside. She was suddenly struck by nervousness as she followed its noise.

　　She was about to open the door when she felt it did not have a doorknob.

　　A man in police uniform came in and confronted Rose even though she could not see him.

　　"W-Who.. are you?" She asked when she felt the presence of the policeman in front of her.

　　"This is Police Chief Inspector Figueroa. We came across from a Hostage Crime inside this house at exactly 12:00 AM." The police did not finish speaking when she suddenly fainted in front of him.

　　The police immediately stopped and caught the unconscious Rose. She was pale and confused by what was happening around her.

　　Then, everything she had dreamed of before came true. It is true what she heard shouting and dying for help earlier. A Hostage took place right inside their house. But by the grace of God, she was not involved in the trouble.

　　"Chief, how is this girl? Her guardian has not yet arrived so we can talk about what happened in their house." The regular policeman said to their Chief who is currently guarding the young Rose.

　　"Let's wait until this girl regain her consciousness. That way, we can interrogate her for what happened last midnight. There is no one else that time besides her."

　　-

　　A FEW minutes later, she finally woke up. She immediately realized that she was still alone to this day and her parents were still gone.

　　"Mommy! Daddy! Where are you?" She called crying. She felt even more hurt when they did not answer again.

　　"Calm down, kid! Your parents aren't here. It looks like they left you here. Hahaha!" A policeman who was listening to her, said. Rose just cried because of this.

　　"That's not true! My parents are still alive! They will be coming back!"

　　She no longer knew where to draw her courage. Now as time goes on, she loses even more hope that her parents will be able to return to her.

　　Later on, the Police Chief Inspector came in, causing them to calm down.

　　"Excuse me."

　　The Chief approached Rose and began to greet her and ask her one by one.

　　"How are you? What's your name? Who are your parents?" the Chief asked softly and his fellow policemen watched them.

　　Rose could not answer yet. Her tears just flowed as she remembered her parents.

　　"It's not that.. they're not .. coming back.. I cannot see my M-Mommy .. and D-Daddy!" She answered sadly.

　　Because of her response, they were all stunned. The Chief had a little sympathy for the child.

　　Suddenly his eyes dropped to the jotterpad he was carrying. There he found all the information about the house where the crime took place.

　　It is also very dangerous if the child stays there. The kid will definitely not let go of bad nightmares every night.

　　As a result, the Police have made a decision.

　　"The best thing is, just come with me. I will take you to the Police Station. We will look for your parents there. Is that okay with you?"

　　The girl stopped there after hearing the Chief's statement.

　　His fellow policemen just looked at each other because of what their Chief said. There is nothing wrong with watching over a child. But also because of the emotion they see on the Chief's face, they are disappointed with it.

　　"Mmm." Rose responded in agreement with its offer by nodding her head. Even if she is scared, she will be even more scared if she stays up all night in their house without her parents.

　　Rose is blind. So she had no choice but to join them. Even though she was waiting for her parents, she could do nothing.

　　-

　　"I WISH they came.. I hope I can see them.." Her voice was hoarse as she prayed inside the station.

　　She is still with the Chief who discovered the crime scene inside their house. She was just thankful because she was not involved in the trouble. But maybe her parents will never come alive again.

　　"Chief! Emergency! An accident was reported on the bridge!" Shout of an oncoming police officer.

　　Rose paused for a moment in prayer and focused on listening to the news she had heard.

　　"All right, what happened? Mention everything you know." The Police Chief Inspector calmly replied.

　　She was even more nervous about what she was hearing. Accident? Maybe it's a car. That is the only thing that can be called an accident like this.

　　"It is said that it was a black Toyota vehicle and it had two passengers on it. As far as I know, it was said that two couples on their way home from their office suddenly lost their brakes in the middle of the road. So the ending, they collided with the bridge and jumped into the rushing river."

　　Her world seemed to collapse suddenly when she heard the news. Suddenly her tears flowed along with her frustration.

　　'It can't be.. Mommy and Daddy.. No..'

　　"Our fellow policemen are currently investigating the tragic accident. The victims are already in the hospital and their bodies are still in the Morgue."

　　In an instant, the hope that was building in her disappeared. When Rose heard their corpse, she immediately trembled with fear and agony.

　　'Corpse.. Don't tell me.. They are gone.. Dead..'

　　"What news do you have about their identity?" Chief asked.

　　"Sir, based on the identification of those who witnessed the accident regarding the clothing, posture, face, and gestures of the victims."

　　"We have learned that the identity of this couple is none other than Mr Hendrix Villamor and Mrs Jessie Villamor."

　　Rose's whole personality and system were immediately shocked when she heard her parents' names in the police report. The pain and sadness of her feelings doubled even more.

　　'Hendrix and Jessie Villamor.. are my father and mother!'
