The world is a purgatory where countless beings emerged as they live until they had found the elucidation of life. Everyone has their perspectives to render and one must stand for the belief they acquired and believed to justify their existence.

"We stand for what we believed. We fight for what is ours. We protect those people we cherish and treasure. And we shall defend our land who nurtured and witnessed the lives we had lived in." an imperious voice filled the whole void. His words are full of authorization. He is acknowledged for he is adroit on the battlefield. He was prominent for he conquered and delivered countless triumphs for his empire. He is respected across the land and is feared by other kingdoms. He is General Pedro Baltazar who leads the 2nd division of the Santiago empire.

"Yes!" his men roared when they heard their leader's motivational speech.

"Let us crush them! Crumple them! Show no mercy and be relentless like a lion hunting its prey in the woods where death reigns." General Pedro yelled while walking back and forth in front of his troops who were enhanced by his potent words.

"Yes!" They shouted once again.

"In the name of our land, our empire, our kingdom we shall triumph." The General shouted for the last time.

They all wore their helmets and armors. Their acute blades are ready for the war they will fight. Some are explicitly nervous about the thought of dying and leaving what they possessed and have in this purgatory. Each of them motivated themselves, strengthening their faith and fighting the despair that is lurking in their essence. The outcome is dubious but they are aiming for one objective— to be hailed as the victors of this war.

"We will attack when the darkness devours the whole plane. Subdue what is bothering your systems, brothers. Let's focus on this one." Pedro uttered while looking towards their eyes. He is utterly calm despite the impending devastation that will occur.

They are about to attack the Corbito empire who opposed the conception of the Santiago empire. The Santiago empire wanted to widen its territory that will take a huge part of the Corbito empire. They want to build marketplaces there to make their economy stronger. Of course, they gave them an offer— to lend them help if they are being attacked and to share the profit the marketplaces will earn. But unfortunately, the Corbito empire rejected the offer for they don't want to share their land.

Such a crucial decision was made by their king but would cause an impending war between the two empires. A peace talk between the two empires is futile for the Corbito empire will firmly stand upon the decision they chose.

Pedro's troops were deployed in front of the Corbito empire while his comrades led by other Generals are in their position. To be particular, the Corbito empire is being surrounded by men who are ready to hand their demise.

The plan was generated by Pedro himself. They will attack in opposite directions for attacking in one direction would be hard. They can easily recognize each other for his comrades will hold their banners and the colors of their equipment matched. Pedro's troops will try to breach the front while the other has their missions to execute.

"Get ready, we will attack in a few minutes." the mighty General said that stopped the heartbeats of his troops. They are nervous but they are staying calm not to be eaten by fear. A deafening silence filled the whole space until the darkness consumed the environment.

"Let's go." He calmly said.

His troops were being discreet not to be seen. Their footsteps do not produce any sounds. They slowly approached the wooden gate of the Corbito empire. Each of his troops got into their respective positions. Pedro made a loud sound outside.

"Who is there?" a guard of the Corbito empire asked in a frightened tone.

"Good evening Sir, I am a merchant from the neighboring kingdom. I traveled here to sell my products." Pedro yelled outside enough to be heard by the guard.

"Why did you arrive in such time when the sun has set already?" the guard asked again but now in a suspicious tone.

"Sir, I am from Sajulga empire and I do believe that you knew how far is it from here." Pedro gave his response calmly.

The guard became quiet for seconds. Until Pedro and his troops heard that the gate is being opened slowly. His troops readied themselves.

"Welcome to Corbito empire..." the guard paused as his eyes widened.

"My pleasure, Sir."

Pedro immediately runs towards the guards as his troops ran with him. Pedro stabs the guard with his sharp blade. It is now covered with blood. He looked at his troops that are now fighting. The war initiated. Pedro rushed towards his foes as he gave them the death they deserved for they are warriors too.

Being killed by a sword is a warrior's honor and pride. The war continued, blood is scattered on the ground. Countless bodies are laying. Until a deafening silence devoured the whole kingdom.

The trumpets were blown as the banner of the Santiago empire emerges. This means a significant thing; the Santiago empire won the war.

"You fools. You are worse than animals." A voice of a man broke the silence.

"That's what you get if you oppose us. We gave you such an offer that will benefit you but you are too selfish. You are greedy." A serious voice stole the attention of anyone.

"Now, you are paying up. This is what you decided and thus, this is what you will also get; defeat." The man continued as he slowly walked towards the King of Corbito empire. The man removed his helmet. The man smiled, a creepy one. He has a scar on his left eye. It was General Paulo Santiago, the leader of the first division and the eldest son of the king of Santiago's empire.

"Sleep," he said as his sword touched the skin of the king, giving him a tranquil slumber for eternity.
