Police sirens were heard throughout the neighborhood, Maybe a little bit too much these past few days. It wasn't exactly a sound you wanted to hear on repeat.

Do you want to know what's causing them? This redundant noise of sirens? Well, it seems a rouge wolf is taking us on a wild goose chase.

Oh...I haven't told you my name yet. My name is Vivian Claymore, and I'm a police detective in the LAPD or Los Angeles Police Department. We're on the trail of a killer who outwits even our most brilliant detectives. We neither have a name nor a lead, it is truly depressing.

This case was assigned to three different detectives but had never been solved...

I am the fourth person assigned to this task. I will break this miserable losing streak, and if you know me well enough, you would know I despise losing.

As the car made a right turn, the tires screeched violently.

This strange case piqued my interest, our killer is not simply murdering victims. They're killing them alphabetically. Why? I wouldn't know that; I have no idea what's going on in their psychotic mind.

Aaron Corson, a 46-year-old psychiatrist at Kimberton Hospital, was their first victim. He allegedly shot himself after going insane, saying he regretted everything in his suicide note, but what? Only his fingerprints were found on a Glock 18.

Following him was a 32-year-old politician, Benjamin Hackley. He had a massive influence on the U.S.A. He was found dead in his pool in a high-security mansion. After a thorough autopsy, a significant amount of methamphetamine was discovered in his blood. He also had missing nails. No other weapons were found at the crime scene.

The third victim was a 28-year-old high school teacher named Clara Watson. She was discovered dead underneath a bookcase, which indicates the cause of death. She may have survived for a short while. Her body blew up soon after a security guard witnessed her. She was hardly recognizable. The surveillance cameras were angled, so they didn't capture anything.

And each time, they leave a calling card "A-Z," indicating that they murder their victims alphabetically; the reasons behind these homicides are still unknown.

What puzzles me, though, is how they select and dispose of their victims. It is different. Other than a conventional killing that merely uses a knife. Why would they go to all this trouble?

We're not just chasing any haphazard killer. We're chasing a crafty mass murderer.

As I ran into the building, several police officers and photographers were in it. Yellow tape surrounded the incident.

"Evening', detective." someone called out to me. I spun around to face my friend. His name is Harper Ortiz, my apprentice, had been with me until I started working as a detective. He and I are close friends.

"I apologize for arriving late. Anyhow, fill me in on the details." I told him. We began to converse as we made our way to the real scene.

"The victim's name is Diego Martinez, a high-profile scientist that works for Salazar Research Laboratory. A research lab for animal mutations." He added. Why would the murderer choose to target a scientist?

"What's the cause of death?" I asked him abruptly. What would the cause of death be this time?

"You won't even believe what the cause of death is." As soon as he murmured that, he opened the door to the crime scene. Inside was...

"..." I was silent as I saw the victim before me. This could be the most gruesome death in this case so far.
