I woke up with a knock on my door and it was my stupid elder brother. "What do you want?" I asked him annoyed that he came to disturb me from my sleep.

　　"Ode, better wake up or else I will leave you at home" he said as he threw my teddy bear on my head and then closed the door.

　　"Ahhn na" I groaned. I pulled the covers away from my body and said a silent prayer. I layed my bed and did all necessary things.

　　I wore my school uniform hurriedly because the driver was already horning. I grabbed my school bag and went downstairs.

　　"Good morning ma." I greeted my mom as i quickly grabbed my flask from the dinning table and ran out of the door not waiting to hear her reply.

　　I checked my wristwatch, we had five minutes left. I entered the car while my brother gave me a dissapointing look and I eyed him.

　　After the assembly, well not before serving punishment from the punctuality perfect I entered the class and gisted with my bestfriends until our English teacher arrived.

　　We had our classes until it was time for lunch. Everyone had already moved out of class, even if my friends wanted to wait for me but i told them to get going cause I still had a page left to copy.

　　"Hey, Wura" I heard Daniel call my name. I didnt even notice he was the one in class with me. I smiled at him as he approached me.

　　Daniel is one of the brilliant boys in my class and he was also handsome too. Most girls were crushing on him and he knew but he never paid attention to them. Even I, had a crush on him but no one knew.

　　"Can I speak with You?" He asked.

　　"Yes" I closed the note I was copying so he would know he had my full attention. He shook his head then held my hand and we moved away from class into the music room.

　　He turned around and faced me looking Nervous. "I need to tell ypu something important" I could see beads of sweat on his forehead.

　　"Okay...." I drawled out, looking at him expectantly.

　　He sighed then looked around the room nervously. "I like you!" He blurted out. My eyes widened in shock.

　　Did i just hear what I think I heard??

　　He likes me.

　　Daniel likes me.

　　This time it was his turn to look at me expectantly. When he noticed I was not saying anything a flash of hurt crossed across his face.

　　"I know you might-" he began but I placed a peck on his lips.

　　"I like you too." I said shyly as I played with my fingers.

　　"Really?" He grinned widely.

　　"Yes." I nodded my head and he pulled me in for a hug. I hugged him back smiling.

　　Missing lunch definitely worths this.

　　After Daniel told me he liked me I could not stop smiling. I felt happy. My bestfriends noticed and I told them what happened. They squealed in excitement and started teasing me about it.

　　The next morning I got to school there was no sign of Daniel. Maybe he was just late. The lessons had started but there was still no sign of him in school.

　　I didnt see him throughout that week. I decided to ask Remi since they were cousins but she kept saying she didn't know where he was. I had that feeling she knew what was wrong.

　　"Remi, please tell me where Daniel is" I begged her during lunch one time.

　　"I...I dont know where he is" she said as she avoided my gaze.

　　"Just tell her Remi" that was Chinoye.

　　"Tell me." I said, adamantly.

　　She looked sad.

　　"He left."

　　"What do you mean by he left?" I asked her confused.

　　"His dad took him abroad to continue his education and he...he is not coming back...ever"

　　He left.

　　He told me he liked me.

　　He left me.

　　As soon as I heard what she said my heart broke.
